Missy, sorry to hear that you just went through some not-so-good times. Have always been taught "count those blessings no matter HOW small". Our mountain is deep in snow - when spring comes, and all those adorable TINY flowers come out. Hadn't thought about using a die to cut the plastic. I was just going to lay strips of acetate around the perimeter of the card. In fact, I may still do that because I make my cards all different sizes. I have lots of acetate transparencies bought at thrift stores. And I didn't realize it would be that easy to cut the Dollar Tree mat. Thanks for doing this video. 😊

Love the tip on the sticky mat using the leftover piece of acetate cut to card side, protecting the mat underneath. Awesome - Thank you!

Great tips! I love the one with the acetate!! For a shammy, I’ve used The Absorber car shammy for years. Got them at Walmart and cut them down to the sizes I want. Love them! And the little salt cellar is great! Got mine on Amazon also years ago. Just love it. Keep the great hints and tips coming! Love how your brain works!! 🥰🌴

I love your tips and tricks so thank you so much. I was excited about your shammy holder. I live in Canada so went into Amazon Canada and was so shocked at the price . In Canada that exact same holder sells for $54.29 😲🫣. I've always maintained that crafting in Canada is double the cost ! Just a tidbit of info. I will be on the hunt for something similar so again, thanks for the tip

I bought a child’s treat dispenser at the dollar store. It is a lidded cup with an X skit in the top so the child can reach in without removing the lid. It is easy to grab/replace the shammy and keeps it wet for my crafting session but it dries out in a couple of days so I dry my shammy between work sessions.
Ditto in Australia! Soo frustrating when you know companies are paying trade rates and buy bulk to cut down shipping, yet they still double the price and sometimes add more!
Must say if I lived as close to the US as Canada I'd be extremely peed off!!

I wish I could have brought myself to cut up the momenta shammy but I really like the big size of it. Especially if I’m doing a lot of ink blending. If my local hobby lobby would have had them in stock, I would have bought one and cut it. But sadly they were sold out. I love the color of the Lawn Fawn shammy. It’s so pretty! 😍 🤗🤗🤗🤗

I live in a humid state and don’t craft very often, so I let my shammy dry. Not the ultimate solution but probably best for me.

Thanks for subscribing and supporting my channel, I hope you find all my videos helpful. 🥰It keeps the shammy from drying out quicker while you’re working on projects and is a nice tidy place to keep it so I can quickly get to it. Before I was putting it in a ziplock bag to keep it damp, which just looked horrible. The ziplock bag was a pain to open all the time to get to my shammy. Hope this helps. Nothing wrong with using a ziplock, I just prefer this because it looks tidy on my desk and quick to use. Big hugs, Missy 🤗🤗❤️❤️

You’ll see me use the Self Healing mat in place of the milky white shim in the Best tips ever series video #1 on my channel. It’s an adhesive Xyron hack video. Hi Missy, thank you for sharing your tips. I prefer to not use products with chemicals in them. I will have to purchase a chamois and check out if the misty is available in Australia.
I've bought both the MISTI and the mini-MISTI from Australian online craft shops. I have bookmarked around half a dozen Australian online craft shops, if one shop doesn't have a product I want then I check another until I find the item I'm looking for.
There are also other stamping platforms that are similar to the MISTI.
