Top 1% of earners (who are generally top-level management or owners of businesses) pay more than HALF of all taxes. 47% of lowest income people pay NO TAXES at all.

It's rather funny that you say this. I worked as a contractor for the government. When I hired in there was no time clock. You basically filled out a form at the end of the week to record your hours. In which most cases I would just write 8 hours for the 5 days and call it good. Then they installed time clocks, and hired some time keeper personnel for the 1500 time cards... They quickly found out that a lot of people that were saying 8 hours each day were working 8 1/2 to 9 hours a day across the whole company. So now they had to pay for that extra 30 mins to 60 mins of work that most would have forgotten or blown off. All of a sudden payroll cost went up a whole lot. To the point where they threatened the employees to not punch in early on the time clock when you arrive. Everyone ignored it, and kept punching the time clock as normal. About six months later they took the time cards out again.

As crew members in a major airline (I’m a flight attendant, husband a captain) we have been extended , rerouted, rescheduled, had our going home night cancelled & told to fly another or several flights. Our contract does not allow us to refuse with the company unless we are genuinely fatigued. Our company mechanics, operation agents, loaders, customer service reps are all facing the same mandatory overtime situation. It’s absolutely unbelievable that these professional bureaucrats have such poor work ethic & hours. Meantime we ALL fund them…disgusting.
These are the real questions we need asked and answered kudos to you sir.
By these people's answers, you can tell they were the one that got the participation trophy for doing nothing. Each one, needs to clock in and clock out every day and then that record has to be shown to committees like this before they even get another dime. They're a disgrace.

One vice president at my company certainly followed that philosophy. He regularly made his rounds of the plant just to see how everything was going and when it was needed, he was not above taking a box or tote of product to another station if it happened to be at or near whichever area he was heading to next.

When I was in charge of purchasing in a business, years ago, and we went through a period of low sales and incoming revenue, I came across a statement that I utilized often when dealing with department heads and other employees wanting more whatever. It went something like this:
"Use it up; wear it out; make it do; or do without!"
Every branch of government needs to implement that principle as long as we have a national debt!
I remember when the Supreme Court operated in the basement of the Congressional building before a building was built for them (not that I was alive back then).
Government does not need marble "temples" to function.
It seems to me that the more elaborate buildings we build for government, the less affordable homes become for the average citizen, and the arrogant government becomes.

There are gov't employees who haven't had to go back to work doing maintenance on gov't buildings in over two years but none of them have been laid off or fired. I have a neighbor who works for the US Ag Dept and she is outside working on her flower garden, going on bike rides, shopping at Lowes, Warmart, and having lunch at the local lunch spot, playing golf, hang by her pool pretty much everyday and getting paid. She had a fancy title with director in it. She also goes to 6 or 7 seminars at high end resorts each year. The government employees are really living large on our money.

I worked for the state of California at one time and I learned pretty fast. When my review came up my supervisor said “Louise you do a very good job and you’re very competent and you do good work however THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT NEED THAT”
Similarly, I drove on interstate yesterday for just one hour and four State employees passed me, all in an SUV, all just with one person inside. Didn't think much until the third and fourth passed me all heading in the same direction. The optics of driving an expedition while gas is $5 a gallon is bad enough, let alone driving it solo and in an apparent caravan that four of them could have taken one car.

Meanwhile the workers at Starbucks and Amazon want to unionize those companies. When that happens expect the service and productivity to suffer and another good idea is killed by libs. @@bgbgbg123 traveling is fine. Billing the government for travel reimbursements while you're in the office isn't fine. The days during the week they didn't bill the government should show the days they were in the office.
If they billed the government 5 days a week for the last year, they clearly weren't in the office.
There's many ways to get to the truth.

They ARE asking for more money even though they aren't in the office most of the time. Are offices overrated? They might be and an argument can certainly be made about that.
But not giving a straight answer shows intentional deception. If you can't trust the people asking for money, why would you give them any?
Wow! I’ve never stopped going into work since the start of the pandemic. Why should I pay taxes for these phonies to be paid to do nothing!!!!!

I must clock in and out to prove hours worked then I compensate for only those hours.

During covid doctor Lewinsky said that only a few in her office had been coming in. And that she was going to try to see if she could get more people in the office towards the end of the pandemic. This is a horrible waste of money if people are getting paid for not showing up. It sets a bad precedent
many knowledge workers can work remotely. Just because they aren't in the office, doesn't mean they aren't analyzing data, having meetings, preparing reports, etc.

Pretending it's an effective & efficient way to preform most work for a large portion of Workers is not Logical in Reality.
When it comes to bureaucrats and government employees, I can guarantee you, as I was one, more is far less. I've never seen such abuse to the tax paying hoards....

I personally have been physically in the office at my place of work EVERY DAY for the last 44 years that i wasn't on vacation. I was at home for 1 day with a back spasm though in that time period. I did not die, I did not cause anyone else to die. From what I understand a counterpart in the same industry but in the public sector did not step foot in his office for over a year after the COVID "emergency".
