Every place Except in Marin County, where He and His family lives. He is not identifying undeveloped land. More than likely he and developers are in on that, is my guess. He told one costal city, Huntington Beach, that it would have to build a minimum of 13,368 new high density housing units. Bills and Laws are being used to force compliance, but it makes me wonder what Newsom will get in under the table kickbacks or an influx of more money from donors.

The problem with hydro is that once you’ve ran all the water out of the reservoirs, you’re done generating. One only needs to look at the
Colorado River network (Lake Mead, Lake Powell, etc), which because of drought, are about 35% capacity and dropping.
Never mind that as soon as anyone proposes a dam somewhere you'll have another brand of environmental activists coming out of the woodwork to protest that.
The Columbia river dam system is doing its job. There is drought here too, but power is still being generated
Except you never entirely drain a reservoir for hydro.
And in fact many hydroelectric plants have pumped hydro in which you then move the water that passed through the plant back upstream into the reservoir.
Hydro is definitely impacted by climate conditions, which is a concern, but the predicament you discuss is outside of nominal operations of a hydroelectric plant

Hydrocarbon liquids and gasses are found too deep to be from decomposing biomaterial, and other planetary bodies within our own solar system have hydrocarbon liquids and gasses, and not traces, Titan is covered in oceans of liquid hydrocarbons and has a hydrocarbon atmosphere. De-carbonizing is one of the worst ideas possible. We need at least 2x the CO2 in our atmosphere if we want plants to grow the way they should.... because we are in a CO2 DROUGHT. At 405ppm, were barely above the minimum cutoff for life to exist (180ppm) when we’ve had over 7000ppm before.... once during an ice age.

A natural gas power plant produces about 4 times as much watt hours as a wind and solar plant. All while wind and solar Fields take up vast amounts of acreage to produce less.

Look at all the windmills, solar farms, def, recycling, etc we have done over the last 20 years and supposedly we’re worse now then we were before all of those things. Not to mention catalytic converters and efi on vehicles so they don’t as much gas as the old carburetors did. That should tell all the believers something. Oil companies are getting wealthier each day. And most politicians are stock holders.
They are making more money while selling less products.
I have been an investor in oil companies. In June 2014, Exxon stock was valued at $101, in August 2020 it was $40. Thanks to Biden's administration's energy policies, the price today (May 2022) is valued at $91. Biden and his gang of imbeciles wanted to destroy the fossil fuel industry and instead they have achieved the exact opposite. Coach Clever, you're not so clever. Do you homework!
@@VC-fe4pl ExxonMobil is a wonderful company and they will be making petroleum products the masses for my lifetime, my children's lives and their yet to be born kids. As more cars become electric the price for fossil fuels will come down but the consumer will always have a choice to buy gas vehicles. If enough people go electric we may have many centuries of oil under ground.
@@jtwood4925 Both my grandfathers and my father, who was a research chemist and pilot plant manager, worked for Exxon, but I'm not a big fan of the company. In any case, you're right when you say a lot of products are made from oil. However, people will start to buy electric cars "in mass" only when and if it becomes economically feasible. Social-engineering can sometimes work for modifying people's behavior (i.e. smoking, drunk driving, littering) but it will never be successful in overcoming economic factors and technical limitation.

She really wasn’t the best pick to lead this department. The DOE is absolutely critical and has plans that would greatly help this country, but she’s really not the person to lead it.
What’s interesting is that the US Department of Energy actually has full decarbonization plans for the US that are by far the most credible and comprehensive plans I’ve ever seen for any governmental body. Yet in all of these plans they don’t support 100% renewable AND THEY PROVIDE EXPLANATIONS AS TO WHY……
And that why is a conversation that this administration has really never had. Granted it requires some technical insight to the operations of the electrical grid and regional consumption relative to exist climatary conditions, which this in addition to not being the most politically beneficial discussion is probably why it’s never been discussed.
