With my Diana model 34 classic .22 air rifle I’m getting a velocity of about 650 to 700 feet per second and about 15 to 20 foot pounds of energy shooting the 16 grain H&N hornet pellets I shoot and they penetrate through a 1x4 pine wood board like a warm knife through butter and lodge 60 pages deep in a hardcover book behind the board so it’s comparable ballistically to a .22 cb short cartridge or a Mexican .22 short Aguila cartridge
I don’t have that rifle anymore. Now I have the Hatsan 135 QE vortex .25 caliber break barrel air rifle and I shoot H&N 22 grain hornet pellets from it with about 29 or 30 foot pounds of energy at the muzzle. It’s twice as powerful as the Diana 34 which was putting out about 15 foot pounds of energy on average. The difference is the Diana 34 from 20 meters distance away would almost shoot the hornets through 2 back to back thin plastic gallon water jugs but my new Hatsan will shoot the hornets clean through 3 of them jugs. It is like the difference between the Aguila .22 short super colibri round compared to the CCI .22 cb short and cb long rounds

…cheap too… it’s just a crime to waste food by shooting at, while entire populations are starving to death…
@@dangerous8333 I have harvested enough food with my own hands and labor to feed hundreds of people for their entire lives. What have you done to feed people you hypocrite.
@@Crottedenez1000 I spent 27 years of my life feeding people - what have you done other than accuse me of egg waste without even knowing me?
This test is not sens because the rifles have a big different power
The stock on the Take down.22 are garbage 🗑 you should look at Magpul for replacement for sure 😎
I wanna see the exit holes on the melons
The fact you are shooting from about 20 to 30 feet with a scope and just hit the target
So you have a problem with me hitting the target 😂.
I tell you what: go do some plinking yourself and enjoy; it’ll make you happy.
@@TheDollarSportsman I have been shooting since I was about 8 years old and I was shooting a .177 caliber rifle on my own and taking gophers at at least the same range as your shots with open sights so you go ahead and call me whatever you want
@@joeklasen2845 good :); go shoot. Have some fun; it’ll do you better than critiquing shots that aren’t yours on the interwebs 😎.
@@joeklasen2845 that's no impressive feat
Nice, but I would have kept it break barrels against the 22 powder rimfire! PCP air guns makes it off balanced.
The .177 hit bottom of the apple. This wasn't fair.
I think six months from now nobody's going to be wasting food as targets.
Watermelons are not food.
get yourself an airforce texan my friend
I’d love one :)
Top .22
What's the one you recommend?
i thinking i buying one but i not sure
like before watch
This is going to sound strange, but can anyone explain American's fondness for shooting food?
because it fun to make things splatter instead of just putting holes in paper
I hate red delicious apples. I don't blame you for shooting them. I shoot them and worse.
Next Time tell us how far your target is.
Did he really not wear any hearing protection when shooting the 22lr ?? They're at 120+ decibels from a rifle.. BTW, that 22lr round is 125 ft lbs. They have ones up to 200.
That’s about the same as the Seahawks stadium when they’re winning 😎.
It’d be fun to do a comparison if the higher power rounds vs these
@@TheDollarSportsman you should try the AEA terminator .357 Semi-auto using the H&N slugs and AEA Zues .72 cal
A 10/22 puts out about 140 decibels to the shooter, not 120.
@@Subtlenimbus Sure, it depends on the round, though. Subsonic is around 120, supersonic closer to 140.
Hearing protection from a .22 rifle? Are you kidding? Maybe for my grandmother.
The stuff you can get away with living in country areas! Do you know how much a watermelon cost in the store ere in NYC!? I'd be over the budget by the second shot😄🤣
Foot pounds?? I lift air rifles with my hands!
Huh?
Crap show design there you use the CCI stingers for the 22 long rifle and then a Diablo for the 30 you should have made a fair and just use regular Winchester Remington the 22 long rifle and a hollow point as well for the 30 caliber
You triggered a bunch of vegans on this day. Merica!
Are those ballistic watermelons?
Always 😎
I waited for the watermelon shot. Got suckered into watching for nothing.
aaaaa1957 definitely not for nothing. If you didn’t like the apples and melons, you Wouldn’t have liked the watermelon. We saw from the melons that it wouldn’t make enough of a difference on the harder watermelons. Check out the pistol video, though: you can really see what a difference it makes there:

👍🏻👊🏻🇺🇸
Get you a 17 hmr be done with all that garbage
.17 HMR would have completely vaporized the apples and blown the melons in 2
exactly!!!
No mezqles peras con manzanas. Que te pareze un 22 lr contra un 300wm🙉🙉🙉🙉
Ooo esto debo provar 😎😎😎
Nice mustache an melons. I’m in Portland Oregon so I get to say that a lot but for other reasons here. Lol
Hahahahaha
don't waste food! :)
Some people are need to that an apple to eat it ,,dont play with foods
wah
This guy needs to get out more.
Sparare alla frutta Non è balistica!
Però è estremamente divertente, sai? 🥳
Di dove sei comunque, che parli Italiano?
a lot of talk
Sorry, kind of stupid video. What wouldnt go through fruit?????
wow you completely missed the point of the video
Waisting food help others who are poor.use other thing like clay bricks.
I CAME HERE LOOKING FOR A SHIT LIKE THIS, NOT DISAPOINTED
Disappointed with the performance of the .30
Just found out it was the only pellet that wasn’t hollow point🫤.
Yep that makes a huge difference.
I’d like to make this video again using some of the airguns I’ve gained since this one :), perhaps using pellets for one and then slugs for another video.
