I live in Beverly, the next town over from Salem. As a local, I avoid Salem at all costs during the month of October. 😂 I’m glad you are having a great time but locals can’t wait until everybody leaves. Traffic is a nightmare throughout the month, but it’s quite the scene on Halloween. Lots of inventive costumes and people just looking to have fun. Salem works really hard to make sure that everybody understands it’s a family event and mayhem will not be tolerated. They bring police in from all the surrounding towns to help out. And they often will bring in the Boston mounted police in order to keep a higher view over the crowd. They want to make it fun and safe for everybody. Have a great time!
But you guys in Salem and neighboring towns make allot of money in your economy. So, you have to put up with one month of bad traffic. Imagine if you lived in Maine or the cape they deal with bad traffic from May to September.
This was wonderful...so awesome to be on live stream with you and seeing the sights of Salem too. Thank you so much. I hope you both did not have to wait too long for the train. Enjoy the rest of Halloween night🎃
Yup! That's us in the Beetlejuice and Bob costume. We enjoy dressing up in different costumes every year (20 years now)and hopefully provide a few smiles for free along the way. We enjoy Halloween in Salem.
8:45. Shaun, you were just interviewed by Channel 10 NBC News Boston--hahaha!! NBC is one of the 4 major networks of the United States. You were probably on Boston News at 7PM!!
Last time I went to Salem on Halloween was 2001. I go a few weeks before Halloween these days & it's still pretty packed downtown. My brother goes every year & I was hoping to see him pass by. He wears elaborate costumes so he may have been on camera but I might not be able to tell it's him.
Shaun, it was great to meet you in person (Rowdy Roddy Piper). If you get a chance, head out to Concord and Old North Bridge (Minutemen National Park).
Dang!! I would have met you (Shaun) and Teka somewhere!! I live 20 minutes from Salem. I live in a town called Amesbury, MA. Look at the Massachusetts map and you will see the town at the New Hampshire border. I am glad that you both had a great time walking around Salem. This is the perfect time to be in Salem and New England in general!
My 9th great grandmother was executed in Salem during the witch trials. Someday I need to visit, see if I can find a grave or monument for her. Elizabeth Cogan Holley was her name.
I grew up in Massachusetts glad you got to see New England. Ive been patiently waiting lol. I visited my mom last week, leaves are great this year. Plenty to see all over New England. Cape Cod is where the pilgrims landed (Plymouth Rock is very underwhelming though) ua-cam.com/video/JvUMV1N7eGM/v-deo.htmlsi=XMr-3xjHUPBtpCMN
btw a job I had a while back I had to search a property in Salem so I went to their records department and they had some cool vintage spooky volumes of town plans and property owners, it felt legit like I was looking at history. (we only have so much history here!)
Shaun, your interview was with local NBC, Channel 10. Although because it's in Salem, NBC might use it. Halloween in Salem is the height of tourism trap, but regular Salem is full of history.
Christian day is the owner of Hex which is on Exeter Street. He is the official witch slash quotes of Salem's official witch ball which will take place at the Hawthorne hotel
I think the blue laws in Massachusetts don’t allow public drinking, so it makes it all super chilled out there, which is good. Can you imagine if everybody was drunk? Then no one would want to go there. That looks like so much fun!
It is too bad you are there in the busiest Month and the busiest day of the month or you could see something like the Lizzie Borden house where her family was slaughtered with an axe.
Thanks for watching - if you’d like to send me a tip for my US road trip, please do so here: www.paypal.com/paypalme/shaunvlog

That is a Italian sausage not a hot dog comes on a bun with onions and peppers it's tradition. Better than a hot dog. LOL
39:00 me and my brother 😂😂❤
Checking in from Fort Worth TX
I loved Salem. There are so many enchanting places in the IS that so many people don’t know about!
Meant in the US
Happy Halloween!

Was awesome meeting you as well. What a hoot!
I haven't been to Salem in years this is making me nostalgic
Let the good times roll!! 😁🍺
Jealous! You guys really lucked out with the weather.
My kids and grand kids still go there every year I and the Mrs. have long outgrown it!

Your face makeup is so good that I thought you had been in an accident since last night.
You guys were lucky you had such a nice warm night. Some Halloweens it can be so cold you have to wear a winter coat, hat and gloves.
Hope you show the House of Seven Gables!
It’s amazing and you missed it!
You should have plugged your UA-cam channel in the interview and told her you were livestreaming.

Happy Samhain from NYC! That wasn’t very scary…
_just wait ‘til next week_ 😂

Mike's Pastry in the North End! They only take cash and they are always busy!! Place is packed, but they move quickly. Best cannolis I've ever had!

Halloween in Salem is the height of tourism trap, but regular Salem is full of history.
This is our first year not going to Salem because we moved to Texas
Next year you should visit Sleepy Hollow in upstate New York.
He ran into the Samhain celebration ritual which is done by Christian Day and his group.
Christian day is the owner of Hex which is on Exeter Street. He is the official witch slash quotes of Salem's official witch ball which will take place at the Hawthorne hotel
For professional witches this is a big money making time of the year before the big freeze and the doldrums of winter.
I'm watching from Texas. If you head this way again, let me know. I'm going to get you a proper Texas hat!
Texas

Not into tents but the town!!!!
In 2 days a Cold Front. So back to Fall/Winter
The event actually looks quite boring. Glad you’re having a good time.
I live about a half hour from here. Without being hammered you might as well go to comicon lol.
It is too bad you are there in the busiest Month and the busiest day of the month or you could see something like the Lizzie Borden house where her family was slaughtered with an axe.
Old friend at Bewitched shop.
I see Christian Day.
Why didn’t you wear a costume?
Did you go to the graveyards?
18:22 onward 🛸

A fishing witch…? 🤔
I've got to be honest, that doesn't look fun at all. No one appears to be enjoying themselves!
