Boston is one of the most beautiful US cities, filled with history, and in the most educated State in the Union. Also, the locals don't live in fear of the streets like in NYC. On my first visit as a young female, every time I asked someone if the area was safe they looked at me as if I was crazy. The town feels safe every where and doesn't have the crime other cities have.
I live in Weymouth south of Boston. I work in Boston. Go to the North End for Italian food and to Faneuil Hall to watch the people. Paul Revere's house is in the North End as is the Old North Church.
Look who's back in town! Just tuning in from Bumfuq oops I mean, Fort Wayne, Indiana. I hope you have a really great trip and I hope the weather cooperates. This time of year it's hard to say. ❤
More importantly the block behind the restaurant is the Only remaining block in Boston from the pre revolutionary days. See 'the boston stone' . Say hi to Daniel Webster for me. He was a regular at the Oyster House
Welcome from Melrose, Massachusetts, seven miles north of downtown Boston and named after Melrose in the Scottish Borders. Celtic culture is a huge influence in Boston, mostly from Irish immigrants, but also from Highland Scots from the Maritime Provinces of Canada like my ancestors. It's now blended with many cultures from all over the world.
Try to make it to Newport, Rhode Island. Not a long drive from Boston. You won't be sorry. Many Gilded Age mansions you can tour (of families such as the Vanderbilts), charming sea captains homes down near the harbor with lots of restaurants and shops. The Cliff walk along the ocean behind the mansions would be nice in this weather.
Always excited to see people visit my state. Lived in Boston for half my life. Definitely visit Copley Square, the Boston Public Library, trinity church, Museum of Fine arts, you have to visit Fenway too they give tours. And Boston is pretty safe, just be careful in Roxbury and Mission Hill at night. Disappointed i missed the live.
The Beantown Pub right near where you are staying is one of the few places that still serve Boston Baked Beans and Boston Brown Bread, which is the kind of food I grew up on. You should give it a try if you are able.
My brother & I go back to Boston & Salem every October to celebrate my birthday. This is the first year we’ve missed since we started going. It’s such a beautiful and amazing place!!! So much history!! You’ve got to go on the Freedom Trail. That will take you along all the important sights of The Revolutionary War.
Lived in Boston during grad school- amazing food there! I miss Life Alive so much (DELICIOUS vegetarian food, even my meat eating husband loves it) Hope you can get to Harvard Square, it’s quite lovely. Also recommend the cannolis at Modern Pastry (better than the ones at Mikes Fresh Pastry, and usually the lines are shorter
If you want to see and learn a bit about Boston, you could look up a Freedom Trail tour. That line of bricks you were following on the sidewalk marks the Freedom Trail.
Your walking near the Dubliner their food is Amazing & not pricey Dawn from Boston now in Florida, was at the Dubliner 3 times when I went back last May
Can't wait til you get to Las Vegas. Hope you have a meet up there! Boston is one of the best big cities to visit in the U.S. The food scene is amazing, some of the best restaurants. Salem is very atmospheric although it's supposed to be crazy crowded on Halloween.
@@shaunvlog thinking of places with space, decent prices, and great views of the Strip I’d pick Voodoo Lounge at the Rio or the Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan, but they might be under renovation or closed for the season. Great place for locals with lots of atmosphere are the bars downtown or the arts district such at Atomic Liquors, ReBar, and Davy’s, or the fun kitsch at the Golden Tiki off the Strip, but that would be afternoon since it’s too crowded at night
Go to the Visitor Center where the smoking food cart was. Get a brochure for the Freedom Trail and do that over a couple days. You'll see everything historical. The info is also online of course.
It's a very walkable city. Everything you want to see as a tourist is near downtown or cambridge, so you don't have to go to the outskirts unless you have plenty of time
Rhode Island. If you make it to Newport, reserve a place called The Mooring--get the "doughnuts"--seafood cakes with lobster, clam, shrimp, 6 (share em), aiolu on the side
Boylston Street has a Colonial Church which is right next to a modern building which is all glass. On a sunny day, you will have the church reflected in the windows of the glass building next door
When you get to Salem, you might not see it because it's out of the way, but on the Main Street where all the shops and activities are, there's a small shopping mall. Inside there's a post office, public restrooms, a few shops and a good Thai restaurant, which is pretty cheap. There are tons of places to have a sit-down meal in that immediate area, but that's a good one
Daniel Hall has a lot to see, I love your video it brings me back home🦞 Wait until you see Salem, it’s also it’s crowed with costume people, houses decorated, etc. it’s a lot of fun😄😊
Did you manage to check out The Haven (Scottish restaurant)? It's a bit out of the way, but the owner is very friendly and I'm sure would love to meet you. Great vibes there.
Welcome to Boston! You should take the 39 bus to Jamaica Plain (my neighborhood). Or you can walk the Emerald Necklace to Jamaica Plain. It's a great way to see Boston.
Have fun tonight. Make sure you use the 'upcoming' function on your next Boston live stream so I can continue my guided tour. One thing I strongly suggest.....if you haven't been to Lexington Green and the Old North Bridge in Concord you have missed a HUGE opportunity to see where the fight for independence began. Also given the time of year the foliage will be stunning. Commuter rail out of N Station gets you there. A suggested walk for you..... Take the T or walk to the Mass General Hospital. Then head due west over the 'salt and pepper' bridge to Cambridge. You will pass MIT, then merge onto Mass Ave which will take you through central sq and then onto to Harvard Sq and the Harvard campus. If you still have energy follow Mass ave to porter square and visit my hometown, Somerville. At any point you are never a few blocks from a T station to get back dtown. Sights & Food heading east..... the MIT media lab, The Druid (pint), The Middle East Club (food, drink and live music), Phoenix Landing (home of the Boston Reds where they will be shoulder to shoulder early for the Brighton match Sat #YNWA ) The Plough and the Stars (best pub in the boston area), Pinocchio's Pizza, Bartley's Burger Cottage (best burger in the area since 1960), The Harvard Coop (enter via the vestibule where I saw Tracy Chapman perform as a busker), The Cambridge Common (where washington took command of the NE Militias during the siege of boston, aka the birthplace of the US Military, The Harvard Yard, Longfellow House (home of the famous poet and Washington's HQ), Beacon Street where the old money of Cambridge lived and eventually Julia Child. If you get to Somerville Davis Sq have a pint at my fav bar, Sligos. Anyone bothers you during your trip tell them you know Rastellini. They will either be very nice or potentially shoot you.
You should visit Mount Vernon in Virginia. It was George Washington's home. Lots to do there. There wven used to be a fall wine festival but haven't gone in years.
Welcome, sorry I missed this live. P-town offers nothing at this time of year, it's a beach town. Your walk through the Public Gardens was bland compared to 2 weeks ago. The flowers were stripped & new bulbs planted. The weather is strange for us, too. Normally, winter coats are needed under Halloween costumes. So we're enjoying the warmth with you. Boston is a great walking city.
Go to the Esplanade and walk along the Charles River. A good place to start from would be from Massachusetts Ave. (Mass Ave, as it's called locally), going right..
Watching Shaun worry about jaywalking while the entire city walked by was pretty funny. Jaywalking, while technically illegal in Massachusetts, isn't really a thing we think about. It's literally a $1 fine that I've never heard of anyone actually receiving.
You can go to the North End for breakfast. Go to Mike's Pastry AND Modern Pastry and have cannoli for breakfast and see which one you like more and settle the debate. Personally I prefer Katrina's if they're still there because they keep a cat on the premises. And Lulu's cupcakes used to have a pretty good chocolate hazelnut mousse in a chocolate cup
If You see a big gold dome that is where the big state house is on Beacon Hill, but I’d suggest going to the graveyard on the street below the State House I’d go in the daylight so you can read the tombstones
Its called "Indian Summer" when temperatures in the fall go from freezing back up to warm. You need to read the signs to know where you are and what the viewers are seeing.
The beautiful St. Petersburg beach in Florida unfortunately is not like what you left. It is currently under recovery for the 2 hurricanes. You are going to be here for our Presidential election. I am watching from Florida.
Vloggers seem to skip connecticut and eastern north carolina. I grew up in Connecticut and yes they have the shore but in the northwest part they have an area called the Litchfield hills and eastern north carolina has wilmington where alot of things have been filmed, new bern the original capital and the place where Pepsi cola was invented,Raleigh which is the current capital and full of history,Washington which has a cannon ball that is embedded in the side of a house because a pirate named black beard was here, oak island where a whole colony disappeared when the first settlers came in the 1600s,the outer banks where the wright brothers flew the first plane just to name a few things people don't know about eastern carolina.there is more to this state than charlotte.
I was fired at a "business conference" in Boston in 2008! My ex-boss said I could stay for the rest of the conference and fly home at the end of the week, so I got to explore Boston, but I was not in the best of moods.
From Boston, Welcome. That pretty building was a museum and then Louis a very elegant Men’s clothing store not sure now. First time I see you. Boston Drivers, terrible.
Shaun, I highly recommend you check out “Yellow Productions” travel tip videos for San Diego here on UA-cam. He (and I) live in San Diego and I think his videos can be very helpful for you to have the most fun (and easy) experience vacationing in our beautiful city (fun fact: SD is actually nicknamed “America’s finest city” :) ) I hope you have an amazing time here in San Diego soon! Eat all the Mexican food you can!

Welcome to Beantown. 😄 Please take some time to check out the Boston Public Library! (I’m a librarian, watching from northern Mass. )
Welcome to Massachusetts! Brockton, Massachusetts, here! Take a walk on the Freedom Trail. It's supposed to be in the 80s on Thursday.
Welcome to the BayState from Worcester Massachusetts in Central Massachusetts. You came to exceptional fall weather!!
Take the Freedom Trail

Welcome to Massachusetts!
Boston looks beautiful! Amazing to me how many people are walking in the park after dark! Are they just getting out of work or school? Love it!
welcome to Boston kids, your video is wicked awesome 👏🏻 Thank You🙋🏼♀️💜
The Boston Science Museum is a good place to visit. Quincy market is a nice stop as well.
Watching from Nashville, Tennessee
Watching from Texas 🎉 🎊 ❤

Union oyster house. That’s a must. Maybe the freedom trail. Chinatown maybe.

It's a very long drive but worth it.
Boston to Newport isn't that long of a drive. They are talking about driving to Provincetown which is alot longer drive than to Newport.
I missed you live, because I was at work. Enjoy your visit ❤
You should take a boat ride in Boston Harbor at night! Even better view of the city at night!

Watching from Boston & retired to Florida 7 yrs. Ago, I worked at the Boston State House for 8 yrs.
The freedom trail is a good tourist attraction. It starts at the state house.
The Beantown Pub right near where you are staying is one of the few places that still serve Boston Baked Beans and Boston Brown Bread, which is the kind of food I grew up on. You should give it a try if you are able.
I missed you in my home town of California ❤❤! I loved watching you enjoy our coastline!

Watching a day late and a dollar short from New Bedford, MA about 60 miles south of Boston!!!

Hi guys subscriber from the beginning from Bedford Indiana
Beacon Hill is beautiful!

The best place for Halloween is Salem. It's like Mardi Gras on Halloween.
Yeeeessss!
Even the day after there will still be some atmosphere because it's a Friday and people will still be in the mood
How did you like the most historic city in the country? I live in New Bedford which is south of Boston.
