Can I just say, from a local, well done on doing Glasgow right. You have to look up to see alot of the buildings beauty. It's wonderful to see the tourist future it has after a darker reputation. You would have noticed many references to the bird, the tree, the fish and the bell. This is from The city of Glasgow’s coat of arms features four iconic symbols: the bird that never flew, the tree that never grew, the bell that never rang, and the fish that never swam. These elements are deeply rooted in the city’s patron saint, Saint Mungo, and his life. He was the mural of the homeless guy with the birds, on the building. Haste ye back. If naw, lang may yer lum reek! (Come back soon. If not, long may your chimney have smoke coming from it, In old Scots.) One love from Glasgow. 💙 Oh, and aye, there is only Rangers for Glasgow is blue. 🦁😃👍
19.20 at the clock tower, you were about 300m from Stockwell Street, the street where James McGill (founder of McGill university) was born. The house is long gone but the location is marked with a plaque.
I'm confused by your use of the word pylon. Is that really what Canadians call a traffic cone? Here it means something completely different - and much bigger.
@@dirtroadtraveller5553 Thanks! I'm walking the JMW in September and I'm really enjoying your travelogue. It's a wonderful preview for me, and I am very grateful to you for the sneak preview. you giving us. Did you see any of McIntosh's work in Glasgow?

Yes, we call them pylons. It’s intriguing to see there be such a difference in the use of this and some other words!
Great video! When were you there (month)?
July 2024. We are still in Scotland now as we walk The John Muir Way.

Huge omission in the video - can anybody guess what it is? 😮
