    Bought it the day of release, literally minutes after the announcement landed in my inbox, had the pleasure of using it in 2 different recording sessions now, and I love it. I already had the Rabea and Fortin Cali Suite, but this is my new absolute go to for rock and heavier bands.

    No matter what I do to the EQ on the amp and parametric, it just sounds too boxy. I also have only had this for a few days and haven’t done much playing with it yet so I could have a change of view

      I have experience with the real amp try these settings. Bass on 3 or 4 mid on 0 treble on 10 presence on 10. For the graphic put 80 and 6k all the way up and the 3 middle sliders all the way down as a starting point. Then put gain to taste. The mark series mesas have a lot of roaring mids by default so just rip that shit out and it will be fine

    The sound this amp makes just does it for me. Great vid!

    mesa mark amps are really hard to dial in but the gist is that you have to dial down the bass and crank the treble on the EQ knob, and then scoop the mids on the graphic EQ to get a metal tone.

      The tonestack (the B/M/T knobs) are pre-gain on these amps. They EQ your raw guitar signal before it has gain applied (just like you would do with an overdrive or EQ pedal in front of the amp). The graphic EQ is for making big picture tonal choices.

      I.E. of my signal chain....... Kiesel Aries 7----->Pepers Pedals Dirty Tree-------> Input #2( Focusrite Scarlette 18I20, instrument not engaged)------>(WTFE DAW you wanna use, in my case both Cubase 10.5 LE AI but mostly Pro Tools Studio & occasionally Reaper OR JUST USE THE STAND ALONE APP)------> DAW Insert Mesa Boogie Neural DSP MArk IIC+ Suite-------> Kali Audio LP 5s. THe Setting on the plugin.... ugh!!! please follow closely-----> from left to right= (2C++ AMp) Volume 3(W/pull Bright), Treble=6.5(W/Pull Shift),Bass 6(W/Pull Shift),Middle=5,Master 1=4(Pull Deep),Lead Drive=7(Pull Lead), Lead Drive = 7(Pull Lead), Lead Master = 6 (Pull Bright) then ------> EQ Sliders engaged.... 80 HZ = Fader Top,Flush with top of white line.... FOOK!!! ADJUST TO TASTE!!!!. for me fader is from zero to + 8 db to - 8Db understand? 80hz= +6, 240Hz = - 3.5 , 750Hz = -6.5, 2200Hz = +1, 6600Hz = +1. For myself this is super tight and way sik metal tones try it and be amazed!!!!! hahaha Thank me later. if you wanna know m y dirtytree settimgs lemme know. IMPORTANT NOTE!!!!!! + DISENGAGE THE INTERNAL OD PEDALS ON THE PLUGIN!!! USE AN EXTERNAL PEDAL FOR OD!!! ALSO T HE CAB SECTION IS SPEAKER ONE SM57 JUST OFF AXIS AND SPEAKER 2 MIC A U47 ON THE CONE DIRECT, THIS IS SUBJECTIVE SO ADJUST TO TASTE BUT DO UNDERSTAND THAT MOST THE SOUND COMES FROM THIS SECTION. GET THIS RIGHT FIRST THE ADJUST THE AMP AND OVERDIVE

    Oh, and nice whiskey review. I see this at my local supermarket and always passed on it.

    WHEN is NEURAL going to make these plug-ins compatible with the Quad Cortex? All these SUPER plug ins ONLY SERVE to piss me off more with each release, as they are useless to me.

    I love this plug-in, I was out of the neural hype train for some time now but this is great, I've gotten everything from the cleanest of cleans to the tightest tech death rhythm tones to full on broken fuzz doom tones and anything in-between.

    The band eq on the right effects how the pot eq's on the left sound and color the amp sound. It basically just gives or takes away db on the pots depending on how you set the band.

    This def sounds super nice. I love all the hair and muscle this sim has. Not enough to go by it, but NDSP has a good one here. And the Fortin Cali is still my favorite haha.

    I see Neural DSP has continued their redundancy yet again. The ML Fluff and this are better than the Amplitube model and have more gain, though.

    The plugins are great but they just don't have that low-end like the real amps do. Even cranking the lows just doesn't do it.

    Love the tones! I'm trying to decide to buy either this one, or the Petrucci one. I will use your tones as a guide, because I'm struggling to dial this amp!

  • @megahurtz30
    @megahurtz30 Рік тому

    I find if you increase the volume/gain knobs a bit over halfway or so, on the plugin, it starts getting muddy fast. Probably not the most advisable plugin for really high gain and modern metal, from Neural DSP. They may have much better plugins for that, which may be easier to dial a good tone

    • @Eliphas_Elric
      @Eliphas_Elric Рік тому +1

      I mean that's accurate to a Mark IIC+, or any Mark series amp. The amp is almost at full volume by it reaches 2 on the volume knob. Of course it gets muddy if you crank the volume. Set the amps master to like 2 or lower.

    Killer tones on the intro. No harshness and thick sound nicely done.
    Watching this made me go out and get the plugin. I have 4 or 5 neural suits and this one is definitely one of if not the best sounding amp yet.

    Trying to be edgy with the booz thing just comes off as cringe. It's definitely not original, and just kinda dumb. If you're gonna drink then drink. Stop trying to act like your some sort of sophisticated drunk. Other than that great video. Just what I was looking for and the song was nice.

    It doesn't seem to do that metallic "clank clank" sound on the chugs that the real head does. Disappointing; that's my favorite thing about these amps.
