my favorite is always with bigger bottom and snaller opening so it doesn't get cooler fast and sits flat on the table. I hate knocking off my coffee mug by accidents

What a neat topic for a video. You seem to be able to make anything interesting. I love your terse presentations that include just the right amount of important detail. It bears repeating- you’re a great teacher! Thanks again. My fave is the latte mug :)
You aren't going to notice much difference in heat retention between wide cups like this. (I've actually measured several, dual wall, metal, glass...) Heat rises 🤷♂️
Likely because the mug itself had a much higher thermal mass so it absorbed a lot of the heat from the drink immediately. Try putting some hot water in the mug for a few minutes before your coffee to avoid this
No, nothing without a lid can really do that. Other than the Ember cups. I’ve measured dual wall vs regular cups. Barely any measurable difference. Dual wall cups just keep it cool on your hands
I wanted to love the Fellow Monty so bad, but I hate that the shiny bottom part loses color from normal use and handwashing. Contacted Fellow about this and kudos to them for sending me another one, but it still happens! Just poor quality design/coating but it's unfortunate because it's a pretty decent price tag for the aesthetics. Since then, I've switched over to the Acme Evo ceramic latte cup! The notNeutral Lino was my second choice if I hadn't gone with the Acme ones :)
I have, I think, the exact same dual wall espresso glasses. They are very nice, and to boot they were cheap! I like all of these choices; my basic Konitz latte cups that I bought when I first got into espresso a decade ago are getting a bit tired, so this was perfectly timed for me. Thanks!
Hi I’m interested in the notneutral cup. Not for making the art but it’s design, how well does it retain heat. I need hot coffee. I have a NESPRESSO machine and it yields a little over 8oz so can you tell what size lino did you show in this video Thanks
The Lino shown here are 8oz You aren't going to notice much difference in heat retention between wide cups like this. (I've actually measured several, dual wall, metal, glass...) Heat rises, there's no getting around that without a lid
Nice video! thanks. But to pay $25 for a cup made in Sri Lanka, though rather good looking, is a little bit of a stretch, when you can by a locally made American icon from Heath for $10 more...
im waiting for notNeutral to offer less ugly color options. their cups seem like such a joy to hold but i want something colorful and fun and they just don't offer that
I hate cold coffee with passion and also I can't stand thick walled rims of the cup as they are disgusting to touch with lips. Do Kruve really keep your coffee warm longer than a normal ceramic cup? I've got nkuku ama cups at the moment, they've got clever design with walls going from 5mm to 1.8 around the rim. But coffee is too cold after 2 sips..
No, they don't. It's really more for hand comfort than drink heat retention. Heat moves up (towards the massive opening). In the chart at the link below, the mug I'm comparing to the Ember is actually a dual walled glass cup. As you can see, it showed essentially zero improvement over the Ember with the heater turned off. ua-cam.com/video/trVZhdrl1fg/v-deo.html If you want hot coffee for hours without a lid, invest in an Ember mug (video above) they really are awesome. Otherwise, a good thermos is your best bet, but even that will get cold towards the end as there starts to become more air than liquid enclosed.
@@LifestyleLab_ that's the thing, i don't want it hot for hours, just 20-25 mins would be great. I drink 1 cup a day, but it has to be perfect. Is it too much to ask to measure the thickness of the rim of the ember mug? 🙏
Lots of things to like about this video! The lighting, B-roll, set, script, content, ect. I'm not an expert, but the only teeny thing I would say will help your growth as a channel is to lighten up just a bit. I'd suggest a slightly less serious delivery and a little more smiling. For most of the video, your eyebrows gave me the impression you were about to deliver some bad news, haha. But, that's just my opinion! Just thought I'd give a little constructive criticism to help you up the sub count. 👍
My parents are among those I gifted an Ember mug to years ago, and they constantly mention how it's the best gift they've received. Your mileage may vary, but it's not "trash" because of that

Edizione espresso/cappuccino cups by Ancap gets my vote.
A Japanese designer created the pavina double glass wall cup for Bodum. Amazing design! But few year later lots of other brand start to copy it...
Nice surprise seeing Denby there 👍🏽
Besides the clear glass mugs, do you know whether the other ones LEAD FREE?
I’ve got a NotNeutral Vero glass for Cortados, but use a Loveramics for lattes and caps. Really big fan of those.
I’m interested in the Lino Notneutral but how does the loveramics cup retain heat? I’m more interested in the heat retention than latte art. Thanks

@@gfw7061 Yeah, he’s right. I only use the 6oz but have never thought the heat retention was poor.
I recently picked up a stoneware coffee cup. It kept the coffee warm for only half the time of a ceramic mug.

Great video! Now I want those Monty cups so bad, but it seems they're only available in white or black. Both are okay options, but the blue was LIT!
Very informative video. What’s the size of the NotNeutral Lino latte cup you used in the video, small or large?

The Denby Halo mug is 336$ CAD for a set of 4. The day I have that much money to spend on cups is the day I won the lottery lol
That's isn't the actual price. You're probably just seeing a super market up Amazon listing because it's not directly available in your region
No Star Trek no topple mug from TNG, they looked cool, but I could always envisaged a face full of hot liquid when sipping from the cup
how much oz of espresso do you use in the monty?
As much as you want 🤷🏻♂️

Would the crema lenny get too hot if used solely for lattes which are in the 165 degree ballpark?
