Not necessarily true; this could be caused by a poor application of thermal paste or the cooler not being seated properly. In a case like this the APU would not be able to properly transfer heat to the cooler (in the case of the X a vapor chamber) and overheat. The fan makes a futile attempt to cool the system based on the temperature sensor on the board. Thankfully the X is super modular and super easy to repair, and this fix would be as simple as pulling it apart and replacing the thermal paste. Less than a $10 fix. Of course, the other possible cause would be a bad thermal sensor that causes the machine to spin the fan at 100% because it has no idea how hot anything is. That's something Microsoft would have to fix

It’s because your Xbox is on a stand. The reason is because the vents are on the side and if air goes goes out of it it would hit the stand making it loud
