    Jake, thanks for showcasing the 14-24 on the channel. Sorry we found a buyer for it, I'll see if I can't get you a new toy to play with.

    I'm so used to seeing everyones big processors, its kind of cool seeing this smaller machine, would probably work great here in my area. Great video!

      It’s a great little machine, perfect for a smaller 1 or 2 man operation without going broke.

    Another great video. Sorry that it's time to say goodbye to the 14-24 Brute Force wood processor. I'd like to see you and Chris get another one, if possible.

    Great video summarizing your experience with the Brute Force processor. It seems to be a great machine for a smaller firewood company.

    You cant check the oil from the control panel! Lol. We do offer the start and throttle on the dash but most people opt to save the cash! Looking good guys.

    My buddy bought the Blacks Creek 1500 which is kind of like this setup but a lot smaller and uses a belt to advance the log. Conveyor is separate which I like better. He doesn't have a live deck but I made a sloped deck which holds approx 2 full cords of logs at a time. Just roll the log down the slope onto the belt. I have a Wallenstein 1624 with attached conveyor. Both machines are in my wood yard and we run separate operations but both cut mainly ash logs. We haven't did a real side by side comparison but I bet that his output is very close to mine and my machine is a lot more expensive to buy. I really think these smaller machines need more exposure so that guys can see what they can actually do. I'm glad that AJ has realized that guys like you two are his type of customers, you have day jobs but with these machines you can still have a good side gig. And you could do on site splitting very quickly and easily. My firewood yard alone is almost 3 acres and it's full. It takes a lot of real estate to have a full sized processor and the production they put out especially when you consider the space you need to store logs and to season the splits. It just isn't cost effective unless you have acreage and do it full time. FYI, Bob from Metsa Machines puts 4 totes under the middle of his Japa conveyor and fills them all at the same time. Maybe something you guys should try out. Good review.

      Very cool! I agree these smaller processors are pretty neat especially for smaller operations with less man power and time!

    I have to be honest, I fast forwarded past the leaf blower symphony - but it won't go to waste, next time I have to wake somebody up - I have that in hand. I enjoy all your videos.

      I don’t blame you, it was bad, did my best in editing to get our voices back but the mics picked up those blowers big time for some reason

    Here's the $64 million dollar question, if that processor wasn't loaned to you to use on the channel, would you buy it with your own money?

    • @DudeRanchDIY
      @DudeRanchDIY  Рік тому +1

      All things considered, with the equipment I currently have, probably not. And that’s simply because I have the Eastonmade that accomplishes a very similar task.
      If I was just starting out and looking to purchase a commercial log splitter/processor for the first time then this machine would be at the top of my list. You get a lot of bang for your buck.
      However, at the point I’m currently at, my money could be better spent on a mini excavator or different piece of equipment to continue to expand my services offered within the forestry/arboriculture industry.

    Sure I would like to see another processor but more importantly I would like to see one in my wood yard , LOL. It looks like a great compact processor. Good job on explaining pro’s and cons.

    I have a question about your dump trailer, my dump box bit the dust yesterday, if i remember yours was a sure track 7 foot x 12 or 14, would you get another one like that, i live in Ohio,lots of salt, or would you go with a galvanized one,just started looking,a lot of different ones out there but I want it to last

    • @DudeRanchDIY
      @DudeRanchDIY  Рік тому +1

      7x14 sure trac I love that trailer, we have plenty of salt here in CT I just spray fluid film on the entire underside every year and it looks like new
