this would be good for everyone to learn. i have a question tho. i do not have a dedikated traning center or budy and none that is interested in the gracie art and how i chould go abought it. ive trained kyukushin and i want to learn deffense from you i know you have your sight where i can learn but none to train with. how should i go abought it. thanks from Lukas (Sweden)

Having training and a mental preparedness for these kinds of situations is invaluable and will help prevent many assaults. Like Rener says, "It's better to know it and never need it. The scary thing is that abductions in broad daylight near the parents do happen and are successful. What's even scarier is that younger kids have been walked away without protest by strangers when the parents momentarily took their eyes off the kids. A number of them get caught on CCTV too. The scariest thing, though, is that even if kids are crying and screaming, sometimes bystanders ignore it as a parent punishing the child only to realize what actually happened later on. I agree with what you said, mental preparedness is key. Even just knowing how to get the message across to bystanders that something isn't right.
The incident happened in Hernando FL in Citrus County. The deputy who arrested the guy is Deputy Jonathan Behnen Citrus County Sheriff. Here's the link to contact the Citrus County Sheriffs office. For example someone might throw a chair or bottle at you, or if you are knocked over several people might try and stomp you. Obviously you should try and stay away from this kind of violence, but you might inadvertently get caught up in it.

Also, what alternative technique can you show for senior ladies like my Mom who has a gut & might not have the ability to pull off the rotation with swinging legs-over-head?

Have mom conceal carry a pistol and next time if that should happen all it would take is the movement of her trigger finger once or twice. Game over. And have mom conceal carry as often as she can. You never know when it can happen!

I liked the mom's technique much more. The mom used her weight to her advantage.
