Love this layout. So hard to work in this scale. We are building a layout in 1:20 in garagemahall. But we are following the “Steve rule”. You need to be able to touch everything without crawling under or using a ladder. Standing at the edge of the bench work you can touch all the track, all the structures all the trees. We are all too old for that other stuff. And this layout mostly does just that. Everything right at the edge. No place wider than 3 feet.
Holy Cow! This was incredible. Makes me want to tear out what we have and start over. He had 'em packed in there cheek by jowels. Thank you for sharing this. Greg and Jeanne.
I took the plunge in like 95. Hard to do... Takes a minimum of 12 feet to turn around and go back. THis is a 20x30 foot layout. And that about the smallest you can go. However, what I have been doing is just building locos and autos and rolling stock. Sure wish I could run it.... We are however building a loco shop - roundhouse. It's 20x10 and is just a roundhouse water and coal. But DANG!!!!
I would like a video on how to "emboss" . Its for sure something i want to try, anyways that must be the most detailed model railroad i've ever seen! This and steve's model railroad are the best.
That layout is just super. I know it is a long drive, but I'd like to see more of it. Especially his building and weathering methods. It is tough to model in the larger scales because everything shows. Doug
Cool layout, nice details, try rubber cement, I think you need to thin it out a little, paint and then rub the area you put the cement off, works out good, thanks for sharing!
Hey Toy Man, neet Fn3 layout, but have you visited or even seen on DVD "Tom Miller's Fabulous F-Scale Layout in Sherwood Oregon which is located on the out skirts of Portland. Its an in door layout in a building that he built all his favourite Colorado railroad stuff and places, that he had built on his 20 acre farm, that has a two mile live steam 7-1/2" gauge railroad running on it. This is a fun ride, try it and you'll like it, but keep you head low when going thru the tunnel. The last I have seen and heard is Tom and his wife are selling the place, so maybe you want to get out there and film it before its sold and he's moved on. Also, in the latest Narrow Gauge and Short Line Gazette, Sept/Oct 2017, is a short article by Mallory Hope Ferrell on the little known Utah short line St. John & Ophir RR Co. Was wondering if it is near you or have you visited it and would you be interested in doing a 30 minute show on it? Thanks.
REALLY WANT TO GET UP THERE. But hard to set up. No idea if it's still for sale, or even still there. A huge 71/2 gauge with it with a massive bridge. Redwood, like 30 feet tall. Tom Miller moved to Arizona and is just not there. There are open houses now and then. Sure love to see it. AND it's Portland....
G and F are not even close. You can look at my video on scale at my channel. This is a very confusing thing for many. I'm glad you pointed that out.Great video. Regards, Solomon
Did you see the show on Ozark? They now offer the same buildings in 1/24, 1/22 and 1/20. In the show I have 3 of the same building lined up in the 3 sizes. WOW. Huge difference. AND he makes it in 1/32 as well. but no one wants that.
Spectacular detail and weathering!
Amazing fun layout
1:42
I love that shot. Gives me that warm feeling of a narrow gauge railroad with that look of the locomotive and the music.

By gum, you guys! I see this going on on that Garage Mahal layout. What an inspiration for all of us. Great stuff! Greg and Jeanne.
Another beautiful layout. A labor of love for these folks.
Yup.... Such fun.
Awesome layout!!! You definitely don't see many Fn3 layouts indoors
Excellent video, and no doubt an extremely fantastic layout, with plenty of wonderful detail!
Really well done. Want to try the paper brick.
Toy Man Television Yes, the brick, looks extremely realistic!
What incredible detail! Thank you for another fun episode!
What amazing detail.
Love the paint
Thanks for the video, one heck of a layout. It's unbelievable.
We love our F n 3 but his level of detail is incredible!
Great to see a super detailed layout..
Holy Cow! This was incredible. Makes me want to tear out what we have and start over. He had 'em packed in there cheek by jowels. Thank you for sharing this. Greg and Jeanne.
HI guys! Great layout right? Wanna go lay some track!

More coming... Almost all the Denver stuff, but still MORE!
Great! I love narrow gauge railroads! Thanks for this video!
Super cool 😎 Dale. Love the detail and your video.
Great layout.. Makes us want to BUILD!
Great Video! Model railroading is the best hobby yet! ;D
Sot of a tossup between model railroading and Bobsled. But the cost of a bobsled track....
Outstanding again as usual, it look like it was a little cramped in there LOL. 🚂🇺🇸🚂🇺🇸🚂🇺🇸🐢
20 of your friends with you in a closet. But COOL!!!!!
I have never heard of Fn3 scale. I will have to watch your other video on scales. This is a great video as usual. You make great videos. Thank you.
Very cool layout!
Just found out that guy is not Bill White. It's him friend who was just helping. Bill's somewhere but I guess we didn't meet him..
Great layout. Nice details. Makes me want to move up to large scale.

Very nice, great video. Wish it was longer, again, great video.
Shot video on a short line.. BUT WOW!!
I would like a video on how to "emboss" . Its for sure something i want to try, anyways that must be the most detailed model railroad i've ever seen! This and steve's model railroad are the best.
Been looking into it I guess you can just buy the paper?!

TRUE. Many think that because it's big, detail is "easy". NOPE. Everything shows.
Cool layout, nice details, try rubber cement, I think you need to thin it out a little, paint and then rub the area you put the cement off, works out good, thanks for sharing!
Need to try that. Not sure how Bill did this. BUt WOW.
Wow - just - WOW....
great video, awesome model railroad, thanks for sharing, Chuck RVRR
The look of the layout and the engines really remind me of the East Broad Top Railroad.
I love the Bachmann "Big Haulers" totally reworked into a great loco.

What a superb layout - a bit claustrophobic with all the visitors, but worth it I'm sure
Human carwash. Liked that sort of thing when I was young. Now I like space!
That is one big train in a small space.
And its a "big" space, 20 X 30, but in that scale.....
Going to have to dig out my basement ha thank you
That's what John Allen did. Made scenery easy. Real dirt hills.
How do I find your scale and gauges video?
!!!!.

Yes I did. I did a scale presentation on my You tube channel, and made an excel program to do scale conversions. Check it out.
Please don't show any more effin'-3' gauge layouts... :-)
We'll stick to 30 inch then.... ;->
