I remember Seeing Johnny Desmond when I was a kid in Chicago. I was still in grade school and it was at a Italian festival. The people really liked him, My dad said he was Siciliano and the people really liked him. My mother saw Jonny at a concert around the year he passed away. It was a lot of fun because the Wrestler Bennito Gardini was there and we liked watching him wrestle on TV especially against Gorgeous George, Bennito was the good that time. They called him Bouncing Bennito Gardini. Those were the days when we had a lot to do and enjoyed ourselves.
I think this is from Big Band Bash which was part of the PBS March Fundraiser. They aired clips of Earl Hines, Woody Herman but also a very rare appearance of Fran Warren she sang with Claude Thornhill

Awesome Voice. He sang Rio Conchos beautifully and powerfully.
Completely forgot how good he was.
This must have been one of his last appearances, he sounds in great form and looks like he's enjoying himself giving a great performance.
Always good to listen to Johnny Desmond aka The Creamer!
