I’ve been thinking about these in my UW .. I like the DI cause of the ease of launch , the ventus HB just is nuclear at times
Great video as always. Have you or can you do a video on the 50 gram Ventus driver shafts? Very curious on 50 gram driver shafts but most of them are pretty “torquey”. Ventus 50 gram Shafts are still pretty low torque and are intriguing. Either way, love your vids here in Michigan!!!!!
I have the TR Red 5S and it's a surprisingly stiff shaft for the designated weight. Very low spin, can launch some proper bombs when hit up. Likes to hit the ball off the bottom of the clubhead. But I do have to warn you, I have the og Ventus Red 6X also and it is only 1 gram heavier when both are at 45,25" same grip/adapter.
Would love to see AD DI 5S (5X) vs Ventus TR Red 5S review!
@@NovaScene thanks for info. I have only hit the og blue 6s. Was decent but slightly too stiff in the tip maybe.
Very useful to compare different vendors
I like the flight on the DI much better
It’s definitely a nice strong flight. ✈️
I played the DI 85x the past 2 years in TSi2 21*. It felt great but a little active at times, maybe a touch spinny. Playing the IZ 85x in TSR3 21* this year and it feels more one piece, linear with lower launch and spin, flatter flight. But that could be a result of moving from a “2” to a “3” head. Wanted my hybrid to play more like an iron.
I think the head would have made quite a difference there for sure in both GC and loft. Glad to hear you are getting along with the IZ.
Yes I'll second that. I've gone from a DI to an IZ and I think the IZ is a much better shaft. Launch and spin are down a fraction and stability is massively improved.
What kind of swing speed do you average? Considering the 85x, but am on the fence
@@philipf9601 I am usually 100-102mph with my hybrid on Trackman. I’m 112mph driver (Ventus TR Blue 6x) course speed (can get to 115-118mph on full full swing).
These videos are very well done. Great to get your view on all these shafts. Do you have any of the Graphite Design ad F (Fairway Wood Model), these are a bit cheaper and made for fairway woods. It would be great to tell us what you think. Thanks for all your videos from Ontario Canada! Cheers
Awesome info. How good are those mishits with that hybrid!!!
My miss hits with hybrid are always better than my miss hits with the driving iron.
Great informative video as always.
Does the Ventus come in a TR option for the hybrid? If so, what differences would we expect in feel and ball flight? Also, I'd be keen to know the differences in the pricing of the tested shafts and TR option.
Unfortunately there is no TR option at this stage for the hybrid. In Aussie dollars, both hybrid shafts are about the $300 or so mark. Thanks for watching.
you said . The DI feels heavier if there is more weight in the handle. How does that work? from 13:20-13:25
If the weight is distributed at the handle end, the swing weight will decrease. Just because a swing weight is light, doesn’t mean the club feels light when you pick it up.
Hi, did u trim 0.5 inch for the tour ad DI hyb shaft? I was referring to their website it says 19-22 hybrid loft should be trimmed 0.5”
@@farrelpramadito1703 yes. Everything here is trimmed as per manufacturer recommendations.
What about the IZ? Would appreciate your opinion... VB, IZ, or Smoke Red? I game the TR Red 6S in my driver and love that profile (FWIW).
If you had to choose between this Ventus or the KBS Tour Prototype for a driving iron shaft, which would you choose?
I suppose that would depend on what you are looking for. The Ventus will likely launch a little higher and potentially have a little more ball speed.
@@SydneyGolfTech Thanks for taking the time to reply
@@SydneyGolfTech Ended up going with the KBS as it was over $100 cheaper in my area
does the DI hybrid shaft work in a driving iron? they also have a "utility" offering
Yes the DI hybrid works in a driving iron. We have it as part of our fitting matrix and it is extremely popular.
I like DI & IZ, find I don't need to be as aggressive as I had to be with Ventus.
I like DI as well, such a great shaft.
How would the axiom Lp 105g s stack up to hybrid shafts in a driving iron
Time will tell. I’ll do a video soon on the topic.
@SydneyGolfTech thanks look forward to it
How do you find these two options compare to Hazardus Black 6.0 80g?
I haven’t done that comparison sorry.
