Every guitarist should play Bass! But be aware: you may become addicted and forget to play guitar...
Haha yeah that's what happened to me
Valentino Rossi That’s gonna be a big fucking same from me my guy
NothinButDaBlues can confirm, happen to me.
I officially started hating my guitar after I started bass. Although, it was mostly because the guitar couldn't hold tune, so it was hard to learn on it.
@@michaelthemediocre4809 that's a shitty guitar right there. Sounds like a 2018 gibson
:P
Finally someone who plays Come Together correctly
Finally? My first instrument is guitar and I play this version if I have a bass in my hands.
Left handed?

For any guitarists who, like me, at some point picked up a bass and was like 'why didn't anybody tell me this was so fun?', the absolute hardest songs are going to be the ones with iconic guitar/melody (like Hotel California), and probably the best practice to learn what space the bass should take up and not just what noodly riffs you can play once you get used to the chonky strings.
Crazy little thing called love has the most underrated bass line
Barka Dog not really. It’s just a simple walking bassline.
@@jmunley5714 they said it's underrated not easy, which it is both
Oscar Tomlinson oh I’m sorry for the confusion I meant it’s not the most under rated.
It’s a simple blues walking line actually. But catchy

- My Generation - The Who
- Schism - Tool
Killers by iron maiden
Hayden Arlington Anything by Maiden does, Steve Harris is a master at it
Seven Nation army the white stripes, nite klub the specials, guns of Brixton the clash

It always makes me smile when i see a fellow leftie player
I've played guitar for about 15 years, just bought my first bass!
Gosh, it's great to see and hear a true craftsman do his thing. Well done, good sir!

Donnavin Zepeda someone put this on the sub reddit-
Donnavin Zepeda that is absolutely not funny
Donnavin Zepeda like it’s not even hard
*this is in the left-handed category*
Davie504 doesn't do real bass videos any more
a lot of nirvana's bass riffs are underrated, like lithium or in bloom for example
I agree nirvana’s got some amazing bass lines. Lounge act has an incredible baseline and somehow always gets left out of conversation lol
Same goes for Soundgarden's Ben Shepherd - lots of really weird lines that barely fit, but make it all sound richer somehow.
Love buzz is a great one too
@@KrisVesel dude I love playing Outshined on bass it's so fun. I use a pick to play it, I don't know if he uses a pick but I like playing it with a pick so I play it with a pick
Nice to see other left handed musicians
Now THIS is the content i signed up to you are AMAZING! You inspired me to practice more and become a better bassist. I have a band now and we are thriving
Wow...I knew every one. The Birthday theme actually worked out on more than a few occasions. Fortunately it was a kudos to me for knowing it being a bassist..however unfortunate because no one else could join in. But at the end of the day..the birthday girl felt special and had a good time. Mission accomplished. 👍
Personally I learn all kinda little jingles and songs on the bass. Pink Panther, Star spangled banner with distortion and embellishments.. absolutely fun. Jaws, Stars Wars, Holiday themes..really just anything catchy that's fun and people would recognize. You'll be surprised when those little do-dats or whatever come into play. Especially while interacting with the crowd.
Oooohhh...what a lovely ending, man !!!! The Beatles present in every single mind !!
Slipped in that 'Let It Be' ending
Love how “Happy Birthday” ended as “Let It Be”
holy crap have i just stumbled upon a fellow lefty bassist? god mate, where have you been my entire career?
Were you looking for a lefty bass player? Why?
@@LeftyBassman i've just never stumbled upon someone who played a lefty bass too, so glad to know im not entirely alone on that front :D
I don’t even play bass but I always find myself coming back to this video.
Macca has around ten basslines even better than come together:
Something, Hey Bulldog, Rain, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, I Want You (She's So Heavy), With A Little Help From My Friends, And Your Bird Can Sing, The Word, All My Loving, Eight Days A Week, etc.
And seeing as this guy is basically a Beatles channel, I'm surprised
well its not the best basslines, its one's you should know as a bassist, as they will often pop up.
Magical Mystery Tour is amazing. Listen very closely to the 4th and 5th notes of the song and be blown away by that click echo of those two notes. I can't get my head round how they sounded like that in 1967.
Wait Black Eyed Peas have a bassist?
Who are Black Eyed Peas? Never heard before... 😅

look, he is so pro he can play the bass inverted.

Cool but why is your video mirrored, and the Fender sticker reversed? Almost as if you are a lefty... hmm
Could he have maybe recorded this on his cell phone using the back facing camera?

Yes! Another left handed bassist! I’m not alone
it’s cool cause you can recognize every song :))
I miss Roundabout.
So true
Yes. ;)
The translation from happy birthday to let it be is so smooth.
i half expected to hear the bass of feel good inc in there because its very good imo.
I'm very impressed, fantastic technique and great attack and tone all in the fingers!
The transition from Good Times to Another One Bites the Dust was smart, but very calming to me for some reason
I love this channel and how the inverted left handed playing messes with my mind and makes me question reality
I have been a hobby bass player for the better part of 15 years and this video made me realize how much funk and soul made me a bass player from childhood.
3:45 that transition 🔥
Much respect from this lefty drummer. Inspiring me to buy a bass.
Amazing video, a good routine in and of itself. I've found myself coming back to it for 3 days now because it's a great medley to practice +tabs
Amazing, such a great video to find fresh content for easy bass lines or classics :)
Really like the way you present your videos, playing the bass lines so we can get the speed/tempo and being able to follow due to the Bass tabs shown in the frame. Great way to learn. Can I request you do bass tabs for Billy ocean when the going gets tough- cheers great videos
Another low leftie. I thought it was just me and McCartney, now we’re everywhere. We still look weird though.
I'm a righty, so a left handed Jazz Bass looks just wrong to me.
Im left, so everytime i play bass everyone tells me im holding it wrong •^•
As soon as I saw this channel name I went crazy because all of the bass videos I see are right handed (I'm a left handed bassist aswell
I’m left handed but I play all of my instruments right handed. It is easier for me because my left hand is more maneuverable.
Im a lefty guitarist but i like bass
Finally someone who is also a lefty i just got my bass last week can’t wait to learn how to play
No 13 really making me think it's another one bites the dust and rappers delight at the same time
#20 Sooo Amazing! I’m not sure how you played that!
Excellent. I know how to play about 5 of those. Time to breakout the bass and learn the others. Love that you added the tabs because I can't read music. Also I'll have to pass on the slapping and popping ones since I can't do that. I practice but I just can't seem to grasp it. Thanks again for sharing.
I love the bassline run in 'Hey Joe'!
That was so cool! I loved it, thanks for the inspiration 🎼🎸
Please add Ramble On (Led Zeppelin) next time you do something like this
@Rail Gun it wasn't a complain, just a suggestion.
He said please. He requested something for for next time. He was more than a trifle polite. When l said something, didn’t mean Beatles in the sentence. Although that would be nice.
Rail Gun don’t troll
Kooshblang . Wasn’t a complain it was a request
The last thing (after happy birthday) was that.. the thing before the guitar solo in ... Let it be?
Yessss!!!
@@LeftyBassman I knew I heard it before. I just had to remember where
@@LeftyBassman what notes are you playing? Never heard it played like that before but it sounds so nice
I played in Italian mode, which is not a new modal scale.
Sounds great real clean man!!
Another One bites the dust makes every bassist dance
For the disco fans (or in this case city pop)
Silent screamer - Tatsuro Yamashita
Hot Sand - Piper
Dance in the memories - Meiko Nakahara
Flyday Chinatown - Yasuha
Remember Summer Days - Anri
Plastic Love - Mariya Takeuchi
*And a bonus for Italodisco
Give Me Up - Michael Fortunati
I've played bass since I was 13 years old. I didn't really get the feel for guitar. My dad gave me his old Fender Stratocaster. I got an old used 4-string bass, but it fell down the wall 2 years ago so I saved up enough money for about half a year to buy an ESP LTD Viper-104. Then I also got a used ESP LTD F-414FM. It looks amazing. I doesn't have to be brand new for me to like it. Look at my car for example. It'a a 1998 Volvo V70 2.5T. I bought it for 2000SEK (That's about 230USD) and all I had to do was change the rear brake kit, crank case ventilation and the battery and now it's almost like it's brand new.
TNTFreddan cars have nothing with this video to do dumbass
cool story bro
tell me about more stuff you own.
Nice, you started bass when you were 13, same here, except for the fact that I am 13 currently
most helpful bass video i’ve watched! A1 song selection too
Very very thank you!!
GREAT PLAYING . THANKS FOR SHARING THE TABS.
This is my first time watching one of your videos, just about wet my pants when I saw that you are Left handed! I'm left too!
Thanks for the easy to follow great lesson!
Hey, I'm a lefty bassist...awesome!!
Very nice to meet you!!
As a left handed bassist i didnt even notice he was playing left handed until i saw his channel name and immediately subbed
Amazing lines!!! Now I can play too along those bass lines! Thanxx
Where is Ramble on from led zeppelin? Thats a such amazing bassline!
AWESOME VIDEO MAN
If any of you here like 80's/90's punk, Pixies has some really fun and simple bass lines, great for beginners. I recommend Break My Body, Gigantic, Here Comes Your Man, & Veloria.
Adding the Happy Birthday melody was a great touch. I like the sentiment behind it.
Thanks.
great warm up , thanks !
Maybe Longview by Green Day
Nice one! #20 is so true, gotta asked for that song on a train station during rush hour once, because I had my bass on the back.
Yes it’s an easy but tricky song because the first chord is the fifth, you start with the G note but the key is the C major 😊
This inspired me to learn "I Feel Good".
Great job!
Congrats !!!
Not saying these were bad choices, but when I think bass, one group that immediately comes to mind is The Offspring. Their bassist is drastically underrated because his bass lines tend to be of a very simplistic nature, or seem to be so
I’d like to hear someone say the bass line for “Hit That” is easy to play, among others
The Invisible Man by Queen has a great bassline. Really simple, but it's a good exercise for getting fast at strumming with your right hand.
Really enjoyed it! Fun to watch...
most exciting part is no. 20..happy birthday 😁. waiting for more upcoming video dude. 🤘
As someone who just started learning bass guitar one day I will learn all these songs, but I first must learn seven nation army hehe

when every bassist should learn hysteria....
It's probably not even that hard, it's just that you have to play it for nearly four minutes.
GNVS that’s the whole reason it’s hard. It’s just 16ths really
@@GNVS300 I don't know If you play bass but you cannot really understand how hard a bassline is until you try to play it
I do play bass and guitar, and I know how to play Hyper Music and a couple of other Muse guitar and bass riffs that use some kind of 0-3-0-5-0-12 thing, but I imagine Hysteria with a pick is WAY easier (although not the 'proper' way)
@@billwick7840 I found that out the hard way by trying to learn some of the themes from Bully
Brilliant work Pal.
These are some of the most iconic bass lines of all time, great choices. 😙👍
Great video, love the one take and play along TAB with the drums. Must've been a lot of prep! I just uploaded a video with a similar Classic Bass Lines one for my newer students. I'll send them to you once they're done with mine!
Great video. Just a note: in I Feel good it's D-C#-D-C#-D-C# (frets 7-6, not 7-5 on the G cord) and C natural only on the descendant group. Same for the G-F# (not F natural) riff. Subscribed right now :-)
Awesome chops.
Finally a lefty bass player. People have been trying to convince me to play right handed but it never felt right (ha!). I have a left handed Hofner beetle bass and a p-bass that I love playing. Thanks for your videos 😊
Hysteria 😍
I want you back by jackson 5 is 100% the most catchiest bass line I’ve heard, love playing it
