The octatrack really feels like the ultimate lo-fi sampler in my collection (so more than the digitakt and SP-202). The built-in lo-fi effect and the almost comically bad time stretch give the OT a very special mood.
@@SONWU they do in a way. With the OP-Z there was sometimes the sound more similar to some of the Pocket Operators. That’s not a negative of course, just a difference :)
Hey! Unfortunately I had an issue with mine and I sent it in (although it might have been a firmware issue). But they didn't have anymore in stock at the shop...so I gotta wait for a used deal. Anyway looking to get one again soon, it's a great device.
@@SONWU Ohh damn, sorry to hear that... I have seen a couple of people have issues like this on elekronauts forum. Hope you get another soon anyway! Thanks, stay blessed.
I am really digging the octatrack content, such a cool machine. Any chance of doing sampling/resampling or midi sequencing for some octatrack + op-z combo craziness? Gotta put that crappy oplab module to work.
Hey, thanks for the feedback! I sold my OPLab module not too long ago in order to fund the Octatrack, so no module tricks happening soon. But I have a little OP-Z Midi CC tutorial on my channel you could check out for some inspiration. Sadly I had to send my Octatrack back as well, because it had some issues. But I am looking to get another one soon, just waiting for the right deal!
@@SONWU Damn that is really unlucky. I picked up an octatrack after checking out your op-z comparison vid and it's been really fun figuring out how to use it. It's my first sampler outside of the op-z and po-33 and it's not as bad as people were making it out to be. Coming back to this video and watching your workflow after figuring out the buttons is really inspiring, hoping for quick turnaround for your Octatrack cause I am really looking forward to some more videos on it from you!
@@spicycurrybread Oh wow, Octa as a first sampler is quite the choice. But I agree...it is not nearly as difficult as people make it out to be. I think you made a great choice! I will be ordering another one within the next week, so don't worry....I also have a video prepared for this Sunday ;)
Congrats on your new playthingy! You were one of people whom i was learning OP-Z from, along with Cuckoo, and i should say playing with it made me also get elektron's digi-machines. Good luck on your endeavors!
Thank you very much! Yes the OP-Z and elektron sequencer have lots of overlap...in some things the OP-Z is even more advanced. My OT had a little fault, so I had to send it back. Since they were out of stock I gotta hunt for a used one...or maybe I'll try an Analog 4 and sell it on, if I don't like it. Thanks, and good luck to you too!

Yeah, I think the LoFi effect in it is very good. And the features are plentiful! (Didn't like the Digitakt...too limited)
Love what you are producing with the Octatrack :)
Thanks! I’m interested, do the beats I make on the Octatrack sound different?

@@Paragraph8 I see what you mean, thanks for explaining :)
This was so so good... please make more OT vids like this, so that when I get one in a few months I'll be all set!

@@LukeLine Thanks! I hope you'll get yours soon too :)
I like your cable colour scheme👍🏻
Thanks, those colored cables do bring me joy :)

glad you're doing these with the octatrack now. Always enjoyed your op-z stuff.
Thanks, I love the Octatrack!
To go with your "spring not summer" reverb, you could go some "plate not bowl" reverb too.
🤣Damn, I should have thought of that one!
muy útiles tus videos, muchas gracias !
¡Gracias! ¡Me alegra que estés disfrutando de los videos!
so amazing. thank *YOU*
no, thank YOU! :)
