- Today I brought home a really really ratty 1968 Chevy Camaro. I bought this car almost 3 years ago and this was the first time I truly looked it over. This car looks really rough but came with an absolute PILE of spare parts.
This car ain't a keeper though.

Wow you brought out the cry babies with this one Dan.! So hilarious.
Great video. Put the Nova brakes on the Camaro. Buy new disc brakes for the Nove. Win-win situation.
This DD SPEED SHOP and Camaro fan is extremely happy about this build! Thanks
I'm just glad you fix them and put them back on the road! I hope whoever buys it takes really good care of it. I love 67-78 Camaros and Firebirds! 😁
Camaro Specials going fast at D&D Speed Shop !!! We`re cutting prices AND tie straps LOL !!! Rave-On Danni and Dan !!!
Great project and vision Dan! I completely get it. Someone is going to get a solid car that they can build the way they want it. You get rid of more "Stuff" and put some change in the bank towards the new property. It's a win win for everybody, especially us fans that get to watch! Keep on keeping on!
that nova looks amazing just sitting there
Yeah I dig it
I laughed my coffee out my nose when she said it's ok to have emotions. Now we see who Dan's therapist is! LOL!
What's good about making it running and driving to me is that someone can do some small things to make sure it's safe and drive it while they work on it.Then during the winter they do anything they want to change that the car that will make it be down for a while.
I appreciate that Dan is honest about restarting someone else's project and will not be completing said project. The 68 looks pretty solid.
And as usual he'll forget to go back to cover the motor and it'll rain IN it. I think he's notorious for leaving things almost done and not remembering to go back to finish one little thing. And letting stuff sitting on covered in the rain and snow.
@@middlemnmiddlemn2186 You could give him some tarps.
Saving dogs, Camaros, Tri Five Chevys, Bricklins and other Projects!
I love it Dan, you have done all you can to let people know that you plan to put it togather to sell. you seam to be open with your intent.
New to watching the channel 940 miles south of ya. Going to have to go back and watch the older videos.
Dan you make it look easy. Thanks again for talking us along getting to old now glad to see a few people who have no fear to tackle jobs like this camero .most people worry more about it and end up talking themselves out of a nice project car . Side note if you don't know how to work on a car be a good helper and help someone who knows how to and be very respectful or go back to a technical school
Long time viewer of this channel and I’ve come to understand there’s the right way, the wrong way and the DD Speed Shop way to do things, never change Dan. 😂👊
Only channel on UA-cam that makes me feel like my lack of patience and organization are completely normal but yet somehow we know almost where everything is even the puddles in the shop floor lol
Very cool Dan. This is going to make some one a very nice car to finish out. Good deed for the day, saving another car. Very cool. 👍😎✌️
Like Sands through the oil pans these are the days of Dans lives
That’s Past, Present and Future Dan!!! 😂😂
😂😂😂😂
i wish i could still do this, back went south i loved messing with cars i still have 2 and my dads chevy truck , 65 olds 88 conv and 69 chevelle. and 78 chevy truck
Really cranking out the videos lately. I like it. I'll miss the Cameros but I'm short. Looking forward to the next build.
Excited about The 68 Camaro! even if you get rid of it will still get a good home & probably finished out . Those car years hard to get a hold of in any shape .😮🤔
Easy solution for the brakes. Use the drum brakes from the Nova on the Camaro and put new disc brakes on the Nova. Everybody wins, especially Dan!
really enjoying all the content. the "podcast" with the three of you has become something I really enjoy. hoping you get to the cool old hot today project hiding in the corner opposite the Healey. hard to believe you both have jobs. so much content to keep up with. GREAT WORK!!!
Thanks buddy!
The worst thing I ever did when installing an engine is forgot to tighten the flywheel bolts , luckily I made a wrench that I could tighten the bolts without pulling the engine back out , the pit at our muffler shop was also a blessing
Saving the world, one Camaro at a time!
Those quarters and rear body panel fits better then the 67 did. Good job dan
weld ya a couple hooks on that bucket so ya can use a chain..straps and edges don't play well sometimes✌
2 year quick flip holy just in and out the door like a snap
You are killing it Dan!!!
A rolling pile of parts ❤😊
Dan is absolutely correct at some point the money spent will give no return
I love what your doing to the car. Cutting the straps kills me. I never have enough.
Never mind the camaro.....did you see that sweet Nova in the driveway? 🤩🤩. Keep on keeping on Dan. F#@k the haters.
I truly hope you 2 are blessed with continued success. Man you have to love that sweet Nova, first car I drove was in 71, a '69 6 banger automatic when I was 10 years old
This cool video
I get so many laughs here. Some from DD, some from sympathetic memories and some from the trolls in the comments.
Not a camara guy, but rescueing this one from a goat pen and showing how to get it ready to really be a good project car is instructive.
Back in 1972 , young guy that worked at grocery store next door to my dad's muffler shop , downtown Ftworth, had a 1970 Nova, SS 396 , 4speed , yellow Nova, painted black lace top with vinyl top trim , absolutely beautiful car to my 10yr old eyes , pie pan hub caps , with red line bias ply tires , dual exhaust with glasspaks , thanks to my dad , guy paid $10 a week for exhaust system to my dad till paid off for 6 weeks , good ole days .
Ft.Worth, Texas right?
Thanks for sharing this video with us
Can't wait to see the bits all put together
That Nova looks so good sitting there , can't wait to see the vinyl top on it , red line tires would make the car
Here Pinky...... here Pinky Pinky Pinky !!!
❤❤ love your videos awesome content
You guys have a great setup with two garages considering your in residential Winnipeg
I'm amazed those toolboxes are still there. You do love in Winnipeg after all.
Looks like a nice build to do, give it good blasting
DD speed shop savin the world One camaro at a time.
Man who pissed in all those guys Cheerios? I think you're doing the right thing by slapping it together. Like you said it's much easier to see the vision that way and they know exactly what they're getting.👍😁
Nice I see the potential! Put it together driver primer and you can get some good cash on it !!
Dani, I love the shop shirts!! I bought my husband one for his birthday!!! It washing amazing! You done did good with those! ❤ 👏 👏 👏 👏
Tight squeeze in that bobcat.. almost like the 67..🤣🤣
Sweet as ever . Keep the parts coming. Looking good. Keep up the great work.
I like how you found a wrench outside and walked write past a pile of wrench's on the ground in the shop and went to hang the ONE wrench up on the wall!!!! C'mon Dan throw it on the ground with the others. LOL
Thanks for the video Dan & Danny.
Nice start, should be interesting on how it goes.
When the baby sasquatch grows up, hims will be carrying motors on his shoulders. Dem Canadian sasquatches are beast.
Was in Winnipeg yesterday and like every other time no sighting of DD Speed Shop in the wild!
Love the quick disconnect on that transmission!! The Camaro will be a fun project. You might have some disc brakes in stock somewhere? Cheers!! 😎
RockAuto has some brake drums on clearance for the front of that Camaro like 18 bucks a piece American.
Oooo
Haven't seen a "twins build" since the Challengers... Yup, I just went Old School DD Speed Shop!!
Glad to see this 68 Camaro will be back on the road some day, little guys need muscle cars too.
Looks like that's going to be a pretty decent car, pretty much rust free. Just drag it through the dirt, a little dirt in there will help hone the cylinder walls 😂 keep up the good work guys 👍
Those double hump heads would go great on the 327 awating paint to go back in the Newmad.Since you are already there it is a period correct set up.327s and double hump heads go together like peas and carrots.
DD Speed shop!...making Bad Chad looking like Chip Foose.....😂
No- Dan s not going to chop-top,extend lights , fender skirt,- or install stupid roofs.. AND- Dan doesnt pat himself on the back..
Do you think Chad would EVER spend money on parts? not with his current supply of junk in his back yard. chip Foose?? LMAO!!!
16:44 you need a sand blaster. After that, it will be real nice.
Dan, watching you wrestle that small block with the skid loader was both painful and enjoyable. Only you can pull that off!😀
Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead!!
I don't get the hate on the video. You were very clear in the intention of putting the parts together enough that the buyer can see what they are getting. When Steve and Fryburger slap together a shell everyone loves it.
When Dan says the old switch aro I lost my shit lololol
Always a great time
thank you,I enjoyed that.
Great job thanks 😊
68' driving Camaro build nice! Somehow a public bidding war might work out for you. It sure would be cool to follow! You could start the bidding now! Extra content
Two thumbs up on the second Camaro .
Hope it goes together and sells quick
Same here
This confirms what I thought, you should have built the 68 instead of the 67. Much better car to start with.
This quick flip will be fun to watch.
Nice. Work Dan
Way to get after it Dan👍
Seeing the 🧸 gets all the attention. But having to age and not have the integrity. Blessings to the determination you got ! DD speed shop for a great car and awesome price! lol 😂
The struggle was real with that engine!! You had the dam thing hanging perfectly when you pulled it! All you had to do was keep going!!! 😅😅
Yes a model kit
To all of us that freak out when we drop a bit of rtv in the motor when working on it here comes Dan throwing this shit toether in the bucket of a skiddy Dan you are the fucking GOAT bro love it 😊
Haha I don't over think it
I have confidence in DD Speed shop. You can resurrect this Camaro!😊
I would add my 2 cents but let's be real here. Dan's going to do do Dan things 💪😎
DD Used Car Sales!
When and if you move , put all the parts related to each car in that specific car . Trust me , when we moved I’m still missing stuff and a mint 1986 monte ss interior is still in are old house’s attic . Guess someone’s going to have a good day someday .
You have all sorts of parts, but the biggest component seems to be imagination for what this is Camaro is going to have.
My big block 69 Camaro has its original manual drum brakes still;. After just refreshing them, they work perfectly fine. They'll hold the front end still while I burn the rear tires off. What more do you really need ?
Nice job guys, love it.
I done dic swap on my dads 68 Nova still have everything I removed and it’s all good stuff free but I’m located Ohio 🤷♂️
Heck yeah another Camaro build👌
Great idea to assemble for sale. Plus the content
great work mate, getting right to it
Yes Sir!!!
How about a tour of the basement?
Tri five Narnia
Haha maybe 1 day
With Mer on a pod cast!!
Didn't Pew Wee Herman say that at the Alamo? 😂
Great idea 👍
I have chevelle drum brake. 1970 chevelle. Would they work on the 68
I bought a 71 Demon 3 years ago that was in Albuquerque NM that someone had sand blasted the car to repaint it and just walked away and let it rust. What a pain in the a$$ that was to remove. Used a lot of Fast Etch and scotchbrite pads to remove the rust. I shot the entire car in black epoxy primer and some day I'll get around to the paint. I spent a couple of years piecing it back together to make a driver out of it.
Double D speed shop🤟
Dan on those upper a-arm camber pieces cant ya just unbolt them and rotate them instead of disassemblem the ball joint and all.
Let the adventure begin
Think you are making some good choices, piecing them together and moving them on to the next caretaker.
