What you've done works well, but if you already have a good floor jack and just want some good stands to use with it, I've found that a railroad tie cut into a pair of two foot sections is one of the strongest stands you can have, and they last for decades.
Just lift your car behind the front wheel a little bit more and u will see the wheel on the back will lift up too. And by the way... lifting a car on the wrong spots can cause bad damages!

hello, great idea, but I would advise you to add another one holding point in the center, it would be safer.

1) такая система сработает, если пороги у машины целые, не гнилые, 2) желательно профильную трубу брать толстостенную и большего размера, 3) так же надо знать продольный центр тяжести, а то машина может перевесить в сторону двигателя, 4) сразу после подъёма надо подставить упоры, долго оставлять на домкрате не рекомендуется. А так идея не плохая. I like it.
Great idea but would not trust it, HF already has a solid beam extended for its jack, that background music was annoying 🙏🏽

Nice idea but I think it's under engineered for that. There is a good bit of flex in it and a thicker wall tube would be better.
the base idea is very good, I'll make one for me with some mods as this setup is prone to scratch the protective coatings and promote rust formation.
it needs a special attention to find the gravity center to avoid the lifting of an off center load because the crocodile jack is not designed to absorb torsion loads
This is exactly the project I'm thinking of. This way you can rotate your tires at home.
jkwo2007 why not jack from the center under the car? These definitely don’t go out wide enough... my Mazda jack points are like inches away from the wheels. By then the beam you’ll need will be super long and unsafe!
I use a chunk of 4x4 wood. Does the same thing and you can keep it in the trunk.
Too bad those spots aren’t at the mfg locations for a jack on most unibody cars. More like a foot off each wheel well
Very clever. I am concerned about the jack placement on the body. My vehicles have designated places for jack placement. Just not sure I would want to raise vehicle from the jack position as shown.
THe pinch-welds are re-inforced ... but I think this is likely OK given we're dividing the weight over a broader area and multiple touchpoints. I feel safer about this than doing what other videos suggest and pick a spot that "looks strong" under the car. I miss my Mustang where I could just put a jack under the rear axle housing. Even a Honda Pilot has a jack point under it's rear differential.
Good idea, but I would not trust it to much movement when going up.
You already have multiple dents along the crimp from damage. The mfr crimp zones are there for a reason...reinforced.

Harbor Freight sells a much safer and much more stable version of this.
Harbour Freight sells the same device for jacks for $40. I have one, but find jacking up each corner easier.

Se ve practico, pero no entwndi cual era la idea de sividir la barra de 40x40mm, y apernarla a la de corta de 50x50 mm, si va fija... Asumo que la idea es que sea extensible y abarcar mas distancia si lo requiere, peeo creo que no dio resultado aca, aunque la idea es buena, gracias!
I made one of those back in Jr High School in the 60's and stilI use it regularly.
He's not using the MFG location for lifting the car. Because that is where he will put his jack stands once the car is up. This is just temporary to lift the car and then put his jack stands in the MFG location. Everyone with common sense who works on cars. Know not to go under a car with just a jack holding it up. If you are that dumb..... you should not even be working on a car.
you didnt need that attachment if you placed the jack in the same location the results would be the same

Niemals würde ich mit solch einem unüberlegten Self-Made-Werkzeug arbeiten.

Look around the background in the video. Small children's toys... children moving around on the driveway, a hop-scotch game drawn with chalk on the driveway under the vehicle......
All excellent reasons why its not a good idea to hack something together in your workshop, then jack your 2 ton vehicle up with it, before sending off to the Underwriter's Laboratory for safety testing.
How much load will the welds withstand, or the max sideload value, at which, the original jack lift-cup will support before shearing? You may be able to offer a guesstimate, but the fact is... you simply don't know.
At least make a point to demonstrate the use of jack-stands in your video, for safety sake.

Sorry but you should not be making videos. I have watched a few of your videos and they are so bad, some dangerous. And if you use this contraption on a car you are a fool. Cars have jacking points for a reason, to be structurally safe when all the weight of the car is in one area. But worse still is what you made, are you willing to risk your life working under a car with the flimsy thing you made, can the size of box section handle the weight, are your welds good, the drilled holes weaken the strength of the box section. Also you could damage your car using this. You are dangerous, if people copy your videos you are putting them at risk. You have an obligation to think before you post this rubbish.
