The problem with the trope is that it get rid of any live time consequences and tenses in a scene. It like Yoshi in super Mario 2. Kill him off, but have him come back later. Why kill him off, if he come back fine?
Maybe not a week but definitely in time for his next movie.
Even if Matt kills him, if there’s a new season of Daredevil or in another Disney+ series Fisk will appear with a new #1 and back from the dead

Kingpin is too good of a character to be "dead" for long.
@@masterknight07 he's "good" as a street-level BASELINE HUMAN villain, but for him to go this far makes it necessary to off him PERMANENTLY
I think they should have done more with the Octavius from different universes. Teased them, included them, and did nothing really with them. Not a bad story overall though.

He’ll probably cross paths with Frank Castle now.
Even if he does it will get reversed by something in a year or 2 or less. Kingpin is far too good of a villain that there is no way Marvel keeps him dead for very long. Death in comics has lost all meaning unless it is a obscure character or offensive in some way.
That’s why him passing down his title to his son and “retiring” is better than just killing him off. This was a good story.
Fisk’s happy ending seems unearned. Are the Stromeyn’s dead, though? I don’t think so.
I guessing since Frank is now running The Hand, Daredevil & Elektra will go against him at some point. And if they cause the death of his now resurrected wife, all over again, that'll bring him back to the Gun-toting Punisher we know and love.

I feel like this is a taster for what the MCU’s dark avengers/dark reign story line will be
DD already “killed” someone maybe he has the gut to kill him?
I thought that the Kingpin was written very-Oddly during this whole event! He felt very out of character . Using the Purple Man’s powers to control everyone felt -Strange for Fisk. He’s Machiavellian , he uses other ways to do that. And the transition between the end of issue #4 and Fisk wanting to kill Matt seems -strange.
When is Fisk going to come back? Too soon. I think it should wait a couple of years. I'll be surprised if it makes it to two.
Why is Fisk going to come back? Somebody kills his son? (Or Mary?)

Honestly I’ve always been a fan of superheroes and comics in general. I’ve found in recent years though that it seems when comics have a good run the follow ups just don’t do what the previous did so well. Marvel is lucky that Daredevil is such a good character and that since the Marvel Knights imprint in the late 90’s Daredevil has been one of the few characters that has had a good consistency for over the last 20 years. I love superheroes and Marvel but I love Daredevil even more as a character. Marvel should be happy that his series in these past 20 years have been so consistent, I can’t really say that for many other superheroes and there titles in that time frame. I can’t wait to pick up the new issue 1 when it comes out 😁

If Daredevil won’t kill the Kingpin then either the Punisher or Spider-Man(When he’s pissed off) will
Punisher generally won’t actually (MAX as the exception).
He knows if he does, things will get MUCH worse.
Spider-Man didn't even kill Kingpin when he was pissed off. Or Green Goblin after he killed Gwen. Spider-Man isn't some morally weak fool.

No. Kingpin's too popular. It's like People argue Batman should kill the Joker but he's just too popular. Unpopular characters never escape jail or really need to be killed off, but popular characters will always escape and never die.

ending was so cringe with elektra giving him the speech and all daredevil should just kill fisk for once at this point the "we dont kill cuz were different from them" trope is looking less and less logical andd right for some villains eg joker, fisk heroes should make the tough right decisions even if it goes against their morals at times
hero beat super bad guy, send him to jail, super bad guy break out, kill like 50 people, hero beat him again, send him to jail, sbg break out again kill 200 then hero beat him send to jail again like at this point one could come to the thought that the whole with great power comes great responsibility thing should also extend to situations like this like if you, as a superhero, has the power to stop threats like fisk from harming the people you protect constantly, people whom you have taken up the responsibility of protecting, if you choose to send him to jail for somebody else to deal with, thats not doing the responsible thing , thats just displaying great power over an enemy. i think the comic book industry needs to embrace and make mainstream the idea that heroes can kill sometimes and its fine
