Hi
Nice
Good job
Hell nah
Hi I love your videos😍😍😍😍😍
I agree it's hard to get invested in these comic changing events when they don't even last for a year and will be undone by the next big event. Big events that change everything should be something that happens after 5-10 years minimum, not every year.
Yeah death of Logan , Jean grey , Batman , Superman they die return form dead
i wish this would be unique from the previous dc crisis
nah can't wait for stories to be extended for 5 years.
And the consequences should be more long lasting
Right cause I’m still stuck on Rebirth
Nice! Can't wait to see them all come back in 6 months when sales plummet.
they’ll be back in like july
Sales alr did they’ll be back next year
Six months is rather generous
May this age well 😂
You are really generous with 6 months. I say they return in the issue before the finale.
This Dark Crisis thing feels less like a "Crisis of Infinite Earths" type of crisis that completely reboots the timeline, and more like just a large story with the word crisis in the title. Like "Identity Crisis" from a few years ago.
We don't talk about Identity Crisis
@@tatersalad76 Is Identity Crisis considered bad? I loved it when it came out.
Nah those types of crisis are always localized to the main continuity. This is for sure one of the bigger ones. It's not even remotely similar to the other two "crisis" that really only effected a few people
Like every other big crisis involves other universes and timelines like this one. So I really am a little confused where you'd think this is a small scale crisis
@@pickedceasar1216 I never said I thought it was small-scale. Just not a timeline-rebooting crisis like Infinite Earths.
They really should've let doomsday clock serve as the final reset
For real, but in the middle of that run they gave the spotlight to dark metal 🙄
I thought it was
gotta keep selling comics... everytime sales drop we get a new crisis
I.M.H.O. - Doomsday Clock was CRAP!
Terribly written, the 1st 6 issues were basically inconsequential to the rest of the series and then the plots within went nowhere.
Also it made Jon a child abductor by stealing Mime and Marionette's son.
All Doomsday Clock was, was a vanity project by a (in some people's opinions) once great writer - a sad failed attempt to match what Alan Moore did, by aping series length and issue layout...hell he couldn't even get the books out on a consistent schedule -F.F.S., yes Watchmen back in the day had shipping delays buut it wasn't meant to 'reset' the DCU. Johns' ambition got the better of him and he failed miserably...nobody outside of Johns' fanbase like or really even care about it.
The only good thing that came about from it was the introduction of the aforementioned Mime and Marionette.
@@doaldox True, but did sales really drop that low only a YEAR after Death Metal?
I feel like Mr Incredible here on how I feel about Crisis' being done over and over
No matter how many times you save the multiverse, it always manages to get back into a Crisis again. Sometimes I just want it to stay saved, you know?
I think the wirtters of DC and Marvel are too old and too set in their ways. Nonstop crisis events are burning people out of the hobby
I get being over as these Crisis events and hope this one is consequential. This issue was too exposition heavy for me but also felt a little out of nowhere. Still, I'm hoping that some B and C list characters get some of the spotlight from this.
The real crime is we are getting a brand new justice league out of the deal and, outside of jon, those b tier characters that actually earned their stripes get shafted. Why the duck is Jaime Reyes, Jefferson Pierce, Jessica Cruz or freaking Kaldur not on the roster? Can't be diversity so why?
@@mappybc6097 But for real though. I can't describe how excited I'd be for some Latino representation at a main character level. I guess we're getting a Jaime limited series but that's probably just because of the movie. Jessica was in the GL annual but they didn't do anything after that. I really hope DC moves to remedy some of these things.
@@mappybc6097 nah fr, there's so many other people who could've stepped up as the justice league but they skipped over so much history of characters just to make the newest characters fill in. They basically said screw everyone else
Doubtful, they're using this event to push the new generation of legacy characters they recently created (Because that's how a legacy works). We might get a few Titans and Young Justice moments and mabye some JSA and JL cameos but that's all. 👌
@@mappybc6097 All I'm getting from this is Young Justice is doing C and B list characters better justice without a crisis event.
Speaking of Jon, how permanent has that stupid age up been and does Connor/superboy ever get anything? I remember them always teasing him as the next superman when he was with the titans.
Honestly my interest pretty much non existent, simply due to the fact the heroes are always dieing, then coming back. Their sacrifices mean nothing anymore, cause it's now more rare for a hero not to be killed. Besides isn't this like the 5th all powerful dark entity to have killed the league.even when they win, a few years later their will be some other all powerful evil that will cause Criss and the cycle will continue
Sadly this
@@michaeld9379 which I wouldn't mind much tbh, I don't like the new batman though (Not because he's black I'm also black)
They should have it be like an actual limited series with the bloodlusted Justice League just going at their greatest villains. Nothing but combat.
calvin ellis and dr multiverse lookin crispy at 3:00 I can definitely see them having a duo run
Dr Multiverse? The bootleg Capt. Marvel? Damn, DC is FN lame.
False kill, check. Seemingly hopeless situation, check. Multiversal villain that dwarfs everyone, check. My loss of interest, check.
My personal opinion is simple: DC Rebirth was the pinnacle of hope for DC Comics, it wasn’t a reboot consisting of a Crisis Event (which I’m tired of them doing every year now). Didn’t DC do a complete reset after Dark Nights Death Metal? Now we’re doing it again? They gotta stick to a formula for once
comic book chacters
me:okay now we waif for them to come back
"Brightest Knight." I love that.
Mark my words, they are not dead, just teleported to holding location and will return at the end of Dark Crisis to save the multiverse
Or reality will be written to bring them back
@@WannabeWryter like Zeno from Dragon ball super
I love how the big 3 died just like Barry in crisis
It might just be because getting creative with names is difficult. But, because "The Darkness" was said so much, I felt like I was hearing about DC version of Never Ending Story.
honestly, craziest thing is probably him being able to do what he did to the main earth 0 superman, since he basically is supposed to be the strongest version, save for his silver age version
He has to have some undoing Powers I don't think he just disintegrated them I just think he undone them
@@darrendyson8347 like Zeno erases from dragon ball super or at least a Hakai from beerus
4 years? This has been happening since the orginal crisis in 85! This has been a repeatable cash grab for decades. I appreciate your coverage, because I bought the orginal series because of you. DC has repeated this so many times, I don't care anymore.
Kind of impressive how bendis bungled his time at DC to the point his time in JL was cut short. Editorial has really made “great choices”.
I think the Dark Crisis will be more Shattering than All the Crises we know like Crisis on Infinite Earths, Final Crisis, and Infinite Crisis.
Crisis events are exhausting! They make these huge events that never stick because everyone can be resurrected in comics. I agree, pick a course and stick with it
at least the Dark Knights/Death Metal had the aesthetic going for it
They seriously went the route of turning Pariah into a villain? You've got to be kidding me...
2:50 CAPTAIN CARROT!!!! I love Captain Carrot!!! Captain Carrots a super bunny.
I only question Pariah killing John Stewart. With John’s new power seems like it wouldn’t have gone down like that but whatever.
Because a literal goddess of war and Superman prime being one shotted by the lamest villain DC could have come up with made a ton of sense.
@@mappybc6097 I see your point but they are still flesh and blood. We are not even sure that John Stewart is flesh or pure energy.
@@davidmay465 100% agreed. They should at least let Spectre be the one that dealt the killing blow.
Honestly? Why even bother summoning them if Pariah is powerful enough to one shot everyone and not break a sweat doing it?
@@mappybc6097 and if so why does Pariah need a dark army?! 🤦🏻♂️
@@mappybc6097 *superman:the light of hope, batman :the dark knight and wonder woman :the princess of truth.
How dope would it be if Dark Crisis is secretly the DC / Marvel crossover series we’ve been wanting for so long.
If it is, I seriously hope this "Great Darkness" is Black Winter from Marvel, it would bridge the two together
@@mr.knightthedetective7435 Didn’t Thor kill the Black Winter?
Darknessss.... everybody... Darkness is spreading!
Charlie Murphy?
Didn't DC said their wasn't suppose anymore Crisis Events? In a few years they are going to bring back the Og's. But honestly I dunno how I feel about this comic
Is it just me or do they really seem to just die a lot
Y ok I beat me to say that
pariah chooses not to kill black adam... why?
and pariah can survive the death of infinite earths, but is knocked out by black adam's lightning? really? this writing feels as consistent as geoff johns writing shazam...
also, thanks for covering this! fun story
he is hulk to thanos
Somes time writers do things which is out of blew situation .
@@Vik_ry oh, maybe because the black Adam movie is coming out and they want to hype up the character
It doesn’t look like they died. It looks just like it did when Barry was sucked into the speed force in “Crisis on Infinite Earths”.
I haven't read it yet, but I really hope they keep this going thru out the DC comic universe
Great rundown of the issue and can't wait for what's in store for the next one have a great one
The Black Adam scene seems very similar to the Hulk/Bruce Banner crashing into Dr. Strange's house in Avengers Endgame. Also, how did the Justice League die so easily? Will they stay dead? I hope not?
Honestly that's the saddest part. When they revealed the Dark Army roster well, at least it's believable they could kill the League. And at least they'll go down in an epic battle. Nope. It's Pariah who does it, and he does it in the most anticlimactic way possible.
@@mappybc6097 Agreed.
It could have been better if those dark armys had killed the JL but NOT... they'll revived again after a year or when the comic sales are at a low.
@@rubencruz9614 I hope so?
Nice. Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed and thought this
love ur videos man!! keep up the good work!!
I really enjoyed it. Thank ya 👍🏽
With all this talk of The Darkness I keep wondering if Jackie Estacado will show up
The artwork is amazing
Poor spectre....always someone's lapdog
Is it just me Or anyone else feels that Black Adam is getting more importance and badass moments in comics after Dwayne Johnson took up the role. Is he kind of lobbying the writers to write his role well and make him too prominent??
I so agree Dwayne Johnson had been putting his fingers or his hands in many projects even in the attempt of taking fast and furious away from Vin Diesel
Nah this always happens in comics, they make big events for characters who are getting their own movies so that when movie fans wanna read the comics the heros seem super cool and get them hooked on the comics. At least that's the idea
Amazing video! Looking forward for the TPB to appear ! 🤩
Well said...
10:48 😨😨😨 NOOOOOOOOO NOT CAPTAIN CARROT!!!! Captain Carroooot 😭😭 Captain Carrot was a super bunny!!! 🐇
Do they really have to kill off so many DC major heroes to make a different story in a different universe?
Black Adam got Beastmode.
It's kinda cool how the big 3 died like how Barry did in crisis on infinite earths
I find it interesting that the League "died" the same way Barry "died" in the original Crisis in the 80s.
@Variant Comics Ide love to see some videos of The Crow please Comics, powers, reading recommendations ect ty
Don't worry guys,Batman prepped for this. He probably teleported himself back in time again like he did when Darkseid foolishly tried to kill him.
JUSTICE LEAGUE..................Assemble.
Well Wally you know what to do…. Lol
Black Adam is literally giving the "thanos is coming" vibe lmao
So crazy...mind blown
That last page just reminds me of how Avengers Infinity War started, with Bruce Banner crashing through the Sanctum Sanctorum warning Doctor Strange that Thanos is coming to Earth
Man , that was overkill
Y'all should do a ranking video of all the crisis comics since theres so many of them
really nice
I can understand why a lot of people who feel no real excitement for this, but for me, as someone who was following the infinite frontier and Justice League incarnate, I'm really excited to see how this plays out.
Glad someone is getting something out of it
@Tubez - I agree.
I also don't think Green Lantern John Stewart gets his just due. Plus he always looks different? It's like they can't decide how they want him to look, so they say f@*k it...
It’s so scary that I’m old enough to remember when Arris had hair
Goku woulda murked the entire JL with a super Kamehameha.
Oh my god! This has changed the ENTIRE DC landscape. Guess we'll never see those characters again...
Yep it's time for those legacies take over,
Not the Titans, Young Justice, JSA, or Any other Justice League that has existed but has been ignored for the past decades.
No they're true legacies ... John, Yara and Tim Fox,
They were literally created for this.
(I miss young John)
Me : Why are they killing our heroes
DC : Yes
Goddammit, Pariah. That's it, I'm calling Sora. He'll just smack the darkness around.
A Kingdom Hearts fan.
Is that empty hand. Damn. I never thought I'd ever see him again
Very nice video 😊😊😊
dc needs to get they ish together. in the comics and cinema
I'm just rolling my eyes at this point
Black adam crashing into HQ is reminiscent of Silver Surfer crashing into Dr Strange sanctuary to herald in the start of the Infiniti Gauntlet series back in the day.
Similar to Hulk Crashing into Doctor Strange's House in Infinity War
I wish so bad DC would do what you said but unfortunately I don't think that will ever happen
DC:alright time for another crisis!
Me:WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I enjoyed it. Can’t wait for the first issue of dark crisis
Very interesting.
Lovin the shirtt Arriss
Agreed. I’m so over the freaking Crisis
So I guess Doomsday Clock & Dr. Manhattan was just a time waster for DC
so the great darkness isnt evil, it just wants to wipe everything out without concern for those things.
....
so it's evil, right?
Supernatural has entered the chat
Is cancer evil? Earthquakes? Or are they merely things that exist? Whatever the case, this storyline blows.
It lacks malice. Existence is suffering to the Great Darkness. It is an Alien, incomprehensible force and it too struggles to understand us as we do it. The Great Darkness was here before anything, so when existence came along without its consent and condemned it to suffering, it saw it as an injustice.
Is it evil if human steps on an ant? Or if a human kills of few bacteria? No, and that's what Great Darkness sees with DC multiverse, an infestation
If the flash is still alive , u can expect another time travel or interdimensional shenanigan to bring em back🤔
Wait did you guys cover the comic about John Stewart GL story? He's my favorite green lantern and I didn't even know he got a such a massive power boost😱
Yup, John Stewart became the emerald knight 💚🖤🦇
@@nkemnoraulmanfredini7286 do you have a playlists
It's insanely interesting.
The thumbnail clean
They’ve all ready streamlined everything
Can't wait for the league to comeback when sales drop
I'm seriously fed up,bro! 😬
So john Stewart's new power up is basically a hand me down of hals adventures as a hardlight being with no ring. So original
I had no idea this was coming out until last week when my comic book guy told me about it when I was picking up that weeks issues
Hell yeah support your comic store n the industry
Hey there, what was that cover of the comic during the first 30 seconds of the video? It looked like a 2 page spread.
Anyone else got the infinity war vibes when banner is in dr stranges house? Black Adam saying the JL is dead
They'll come back from the dead.
Inspiration from comic book event just when Galactus came to Earth Silver Surfer was sent flying down Earth in a crater
Well, damn.
Oh great now we can have two years of origin and year 1 events for the next two years.....
I NEEDS A TACO BELL SHIRT!!!
Sweet 👍
I pre ordered mine back in February, so I'm curious of what I'll get.
just another example of how death doesn't matter in comics
Black Adam survives we all know who the strongest justice league member is... can't wait for Black Adam#1
God I’m tired of Crisis events. The classic ones were great but the new ones have been just as chaotic as the DCEU. I loved the Dark Metal events but I thought that was it for a while.
I agree
@Tanner Hutchings hell it’s true. Now shush and let me voice my opinion in peace.
I wonder how all of this will end
Lmao they really just used black adam exactly like hulk at the start of infinity war. Just to make sure this was an unoriginal as possible.
DC is horrible
@Tanner Hutchings So you're a DC fanboy, huh?
Hello, I was going to read death metal to catch up before dark crisis and was wondering if any of the tie in books are worth reading (the multiverse who laughs, the darkest knight, war of the multiverses and justice league).
And if so witch one would be the best to get, thanks
