I feel like people oft forget what Darkseid does with his Ω beams. This could very well be what is going on in Thomas' head and not reality at all. Definitely excited to see where this goes.

I've always wanted to see what happened to Flashpoint Superman after he was freed from the government's control. The idea that the Kryptonians are alive and possibly going to invade Earth is pretty cool and terrifying. Although, I've got to be honest. If I were in Flashpoint Superman's shoes, I would have gone somewhere with plenty of yellow sunlight and started working out until I was as jacked as the OG Superman, or Thragg from Invincible, before calling my people in for an invasion. Also, I loved it when Batman said that the Divine Continuum owed him one. As great as the other superheroes are, Batman is definitely the one that carries DC.
Superman is the standard bearer of DC Comics. Batman is the moneymaker.

I had already watched your video on Flashpoint Batman #1 without realizing this one covered the true beginning of the story. Now that I’ve seen this one, it provided some additional context.
Divine Continuum with both it's 'D' and 'C' letters using DC's logo felt meta af. And the fact Batman's gonna ruins it makes it all even more meta since if any DC character that's influential enough to do it, is Batman himself
Was it crazy to see Flashpoint Batman trying to force the accident that gave the Flash his powers on a version of Barry Allen who doesn't remember being the Scarlet speedster?

I feel like the lesson Thomas might learn from this is that he seems to do things and take incredibly drastic actions because he's convinced that someone is messing with him in this universe and that if he can stop them then his universe will cease to exist hence the continuous "Nothing Matters" line. I think he'll learn that his world was given a second chance at exisiting by Bruce and he'll learn that his universe isn't a joke or a plot. He'll have to start understanding the importance of his unverse's existence and change the way he does things.

Man this is insane!!! I freaking loved the Flashpoint!!! Especially this version of the batman! Love that they're doing a part 2 of this.
I'm not sure Geoff Johns has much a high ground to stand on when it comes to his ideas being undone and not sure I get why this video seems to view him as trying to shrink the scope when he's one of the reasons it got so big in the first place. I still have some hope but the fact he's bringing back Mime and Marionette, two characters who felt so forced in Doomsday Clock, worries me. I want to like the basis of this series but it seems obvious Johns is going to make this a massive reality breaking series, again, and these characters will just be props so he and reset things.

Mini rant very much justified Arris 🔥, good to see Geoff back in DC WITH the sequel to still perhaps the top 5 most iconic story of the past decade in DC and probably of all time with one Thomas Wayne Batman. STILL hella genius at putting the cowl on his dad instead of Bruce himself that's what makes comics so fun just taking characters and switching mantles through circumstances

So hear me out...I come from a manga background, wanted to get into comics. I go to a comic store and find a very recent series, gunslinger spawn (started October 2021). I buy issue 4,5, and 6. I'm like ok it's very recent, I'll find the rest online. I go to Amazon and find them but it's through third party sellers and there's hefty shipping charges that effectively more than double the price. I'm thoroughly frustrated. Manga is so accessible and each volume has a lot of content (takes me over an hour to read one usually) for 10 dollars! I'm having a horrible first experience with comics, being that even a very recent series is hard to find and is very expensive. Someone help?! And don't say "stick to manga", I mean really help 😩
This will not help you, but I will say it anyway... I gave up physical comics. It is too difficult to find and too confusing to keep track of what is which. I just get a list of continuity for a hero or a saga and get the digital. That or going after the released volumes, that release every number together AFTER the comic run is done, unlike some manga.
This might help as both comic and manga reader you might want to go with indie comics such as Saga, Papergirl, or Northlanders. Both Papergirls and Saga are easily accessible
I just read comics online and buy the trade paperbacks if I like them
Read established solo arcs.By this I mean stories that take place in a linear fashion and arent extremely affected by crossover events. My favorites are ultimate spiderman,Invincible,Saga and superman birthright. Buy the ones difficult to find digitally or just read it for free and buy it later when it's accessible.
