- So I thought I would take my car for a little spin I hope you like it. And for all the people out there that say crossfire cars don't run well I hope this proves them wrong.
So glad I came across your channel, I’ve watched atleast 20 of your videos today alone. Just pulled my 84 into the garage to tear down the throttle bodies tomorrow. You’re the man 😎
Thank you! Unfortunately some of my early videos are pretty bad but I think I have been getting better and I have learned to cut out compressor noises and I'm trying to get better angles. If you have any questions on a video or how too please ask, I would love to help.
I’m not sure how this popped up on my feed, I’m not a corvette enthusiast, but I am certainly glad it did. I am now a subscriber and will be following your future videos. Why? Simple, I liked your narration. Calm, cool and collected. Not a bunch of hoopla to sell the video, just you doing your thing and telling your audience about it. A+++.
WOW, Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words!
@@84c4corvetteguy5 Thank YOU for a great video! Look forward to many more. 👍🏼
@@chaelodoul9401 I really only have one more video on that car it will be out next week. I have finished that project it has taking me over a year to go through the entire car and hopefully people with these cars might be able to pick up some how too's. I just bought a 1985 Honda Interceptor VF700F and that will be my next project It doesn't run and it is another one of those V4 engines that nobody wants to work on as well so hopefully I can teach someone how to diagnose these things. I guess I'm just stuck in the 80's 😆Once again thank you!
Thanks for the road test review. Your car has come along nicely and performs very well. 84's may be in the best performance value in the market. I love mine!
Thanks for the comment and I agree with you. I hope my channel can help people with there C4's especially the crossfire cars.
Thanks for posting. Nice job on your work.
Alot of misinformation on the early c4.
Thank you, I completely agree! Thanks for watching and your comments!
I can’t wait to get mine dialed in and running like yours!
Good luck, I hope that some of my videos might help you. Feel free to right a comment if you need help with anything. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Sounds good! Runs good! Thanks for posting!!
Thank buddy, I always appreciate your comments. Your UA-cam channel was one of the first C4 channels I subscribed too.
Cool Dog 🐕
Thanks for watching and commenting!
That e brake symbol is annoying just go under the panels near driver side door sill and just bend the pin back. Right now it’s making contact after forty years it starts to droop. 84 C4 owner as well 👍🏾
That's not the E-brake symbol, it is the overdrive engaged light (part of the 4+3 system) unless you are talking about the very beginning or the very end of the video when in the driveway in that case the E-brake was on do to it being a stick shift car, But thanks for watching!
@@84c4corvetteguy5 lol yes the beginning
@@THE_C4_GUY Thanks man, I always appreciate your comments!
I did not notice any problems with the camera, video came out well. I do have a question about what i assume is weatherstrip. I had 3 C4 Corvettes at one time for about 15 years, i noticed the weatherstrip that is right in front of you on the bottom of windshield is cracked up. My 1985 has the same cracking, is that something that can be replaced? Whoever buys your Corvette will be a very lucky guy. Thanks and take care
Thank you for your very kind words. I believe that is the only weatherstrip that I have not changed on the car. It doesn't leak water I believe that it it is more of a sound insulator between the dash and the windshield than a actual weatherstrip but I have not taking the top of the dash all the way off to look at it . Thanks again for watching.
never in the history of the vette has one been more deserving of an engine swap
sorry, i am really critical of the crossfire
glad you enjoy it though, that's what matters
A lot of people feel that way I'm not sure why? Thanks for watching!
@@84c4corvetteguy5 The crossfire is the most anemic engine ever put in a Corvette, it was a direct response to the oil crisis in the early 80's, same reason why there was no 83 Vette
Even my v6 Mustang would have confidently beat a crossfire and I pulled that thing out to put a 5.3 Vortec in it
Every Vette deserves to be *fast*, and the crossfire dual throttle body injection intake setup is very antithetical to that purpose
But as before, the most important thing is that you enjoy the car, which you very much seemingly do.
I personally would have ripped the crossfire out the day I got the car and sell it, putting it towards a proper engine
@@CyberdriveAutomotive Actually the most anemic cars were the late 70's car but I get what you saying. I was a dealership mechanic in the early 80's at a Pontiac dealer so I learned on the crossfire cars that were in the 1982,3,4 Trans ams. This is why I bought it, more to put it back together than really to drive it that being said it does handle like it's on rail and even to this day there are not a lot of cars that corner as well as that car. Not to be smart but your V6 Mustang would end up in a tree trying to keep up with it🤣
@@84c4corvetteguy5 yeah solid rear axle will do that lol, it does handle well but not like my mx3 did
