This looks amazing. I'd consider getting one as I always had an interest, nothing to the full restomod extent that you've gone. Now though, in seeing all your hard work, this may be something I work towards in retiring. For now though, I can live vicariously through yours.
Nice video man! Not sure if you remember but I had a random memory right now and decided to come back to your channel and see if you remember going to venice beach in california to do a meet up with other youtubers but you were at the skatepark and i met you! It mustve been over five years now maybe
The full interior sound deadening is exactly what I needed to see 💪🏽💯💯💯 your work is top notch bro I'd bring all my cars to you exclusively just off this video alone💯💯💯
I had a 1986 MC SS the same color in great condition with no rust so i repainted it factory original with a 355 engine it was great. Sold it a few years later I'd still take a 87 or 88 Ttop model i love those cars. But now I'm enjoying my 88 Caprice Brougham 👌🏽
ive been watching u from the first year amd my son grew up watching ur videos with me. hope the career is going great i remember u said u were becoming a doctor.
6:03 good job, Kyle. When I saw the floors after you pulled the carpet, I was thinking it needs the rust addressed and at least wire wheeled and treated with a rust inhibitor or POR15. I've seen too many guys replace the carpet, see rust, and go, "ahh, it will be fine .." and put the carpet in. That rust won't fix itself
Really enjoyed this one. I had a white 1985ss Mc with a gray interior. Yours came out amazing and I love the manual trans. I think a genuine stock push button cassette radio would finish off the dash. I love old original stock stuff on these classic cars. Looking for the next one. Stuart. 👍
The chemical he is referring to is called OSPHO. It's rather magical and does indeed work. It's about $40 a gallon and goes a long way. Well worth it even for our southern cars to stop the surface rust. But almost a requirement for yalls yankee cars with those salt roads.
YES! It's a wonderful way to create bolt holes without mess and fussing with a razor blaze. Plus, it "cauterizes" the hole so it won't fray later down the road.
No, I'm selling a bunch of stuff to free up space and time. To much has piled up at the shop that it's become a burden because of the constant neediness of old vehicles.
Stuff I wish you could of done to this car, drum to disc brakes in the rear, add white wall tires, add leather seats and repaint this car, It's understable that you have too much money tied up in this thing, but to be honest congrats on finishing your 4th project, first the gmc jimmy, 2nd the chevy k1500, third the ford fairlane crown vic, and now this
Whereas I agree with the brake conversion. All the rest is cool as it is. And I don't know if I'd call this his "4th" project (maybe just in *this* shop)
I am curious why you retain the aftermarket dash pad? I personally don't like the look and figured you would ujst restore the dash in the same way you did the rest of the interior.
uh , the seats are dirty kobosan - Vorwerk (Wuppertal 🇩🇪) works very very well on carpets and other textil in a living room sure a day for drying by the sun & wind is for need
I'd love to see you start using some higher performance tires on your builds. Those all-seasons are weak compromises. Get some Michelin Pilot Sport 4Ss or Conti Extreme Contact Sport 02s. With what you've done to the suspension and brakes, the car could use the additional mechanical grip.
@@saabkyle04 Those tires aren't for autocrossing, that would be your Cup 2s and the like. I would suggest you try a set, as you're very likely to be given them. The difference they make in braking, turning and accelerating is impressive, and they're a great daily driver tire.
I speak Spanish and your English is in the flow that I can Understand... Excelente!
Glad you got the interior restored in this Monte Carlo fantastic job so much fun i love the way how the interior turns out bro
Amazing job! Just finished watching, what a difference before/after. Great to see that you take care of making car less noisy inside :)
Your work is AMAZING !!!!!!!!
Where are you located ?
Another impecable build Kyle... your meticulus attention to detail shows once again.

I'm really glad you decided to stick with this one. Turned out so good.
I love the manual transmission so much!!! Only thing is I don't like those dash pads but man amazing job !!!
The full interior sound deadening is exactly what I needed to see 💪🏽💯💯💯 your work is top notch bro I'd bring all my cars to you exclusively just off this video alone💯💯💯

Is that a "retired" spark plug socket you are using to burn perfect holes in the carpet?
YES! It's a wonderful way to create bolt holes without mess and fussing with a razor blaze. Plus, it "cauterizes" the hole so it won't fray later down the road.

Cool stuff
Are you selling the Monte Carlo to get that 59?
No, I'm selling a bunch of stuff to free up space and time. To much has piled up at the shop that it's become a burden because of the constant neediness of old vehicles.

Did you replace all of the interior screws or use the original wet? I have a lot of rusty ones that I want to get replaced
Great job Kyle. Just wondering what paint did you use on the interior pieces?

I am curious why you retain the aftermarket dash pad? I personally don't like the look and figured you would ujst restore the dash in the same way you did the rest of the interior.

For how I drive, it's not necessary LOL. I get what you're saying, but I'm not out here autocrossing anything 😁
