Looks and sounds great. I like the idea of taking the car and just slightly improving it versus going crazy with mods. It has that spirited cruise factor to it.
I always wanted a monte carlo and my birth year is 1985. So seeing yours makes me want one bad. My mom and step dad had a 1979 monte that was supposed to go to me but they split and my mom gave it to my sister as a wedding gift which my sister and her husband then trashed and wrecked. 😔 Anyway nice build. 😁👍🏼
Nice build. Most people would just slap a carb on a small block and be done with it. Hats off for the extra work. Also the stock look is nice. I have a 86 WS6 TA with TPI and 86 IROC both project cars. The TA has 305 TPI will put a 350 in and use the TPI, new chip.
This car desperately needs the straight tailpipes, slash cut under the rear bumper. They are one of the definitive hallmarks of the Monte Carlo SS. Those pipes that exit at the wheels just appear unfinished and they yell at you “incorrect!!” Just my .02, love the channel and this series.
Your videos are amazing and your professionalism is as well. Great content and well explained. I can't wait to get mine on the road and running properly especially a nice paint job.
Kyle you did it how it shoulda been back in 85’.. these cars were heavy and had weak motors…the g body’s are sweet..love the cutlass the best specially 84- early 88’ classic…the 442 was so nice ..
awsome video kyle jus as you get all excided couple things go wrong lol but easy fixed i defianlly noticed all of the power steering on the beautiful engine but you cleaned it up really nice hopefully no future problems for a long time thumbs up and shared
Kyle should think about going to a bigger cam on this set up, like a 214/218 @ .050s, look for a tight lobe center for the 305 smaller valves, 108/110 lca. You could probably could go up to 220 with variable duration lifters. And maybe go up to a cylinder head upgrade as well.
@@melissadunagan6596 gotta get a new transmission , linkage pedal and redo the console for that. I would've put a 4L60e for auto matic cheap to buy used
As far as the intermittent Check Engine Light: me and my family have a little inside joke that GM's always fix themselves! Especially when it comes to little gremlins like that lol Edit: i know youre a big Oreilly guy but i have had pretty shitty luck. A lot of them are made in China and are of very low quality. Especially things like alternators and starters...CarQuest and local parts stores seem to have a lot higher quality of parts. Might explain why your new starter failed so quickly
Most likely the power steering line was about to break when u left and didn't know it having fuel injection is better I think makes it easier to get the car going on a cold morning
I have a 1984 Monte Carlo super sport first year they come out I've had it since you just did a LS swap conversion engine light come on it is not throwing any codes whatsoever same problem you're having have not figured it out yet
305 be careful a 302 Ford grabber holker headers 750 duplicates on a 850 hollering machine right now I will run a series of things u can never fear or be seen as a mustard seed u Have a chance to Have faith as much as a mustard seed had hope without hope and faith we Have nothing

Monte Carlo SS rims are soooo underrated
Camaro IROC-Z rims have always gotten the love they deserve...but the SS rims are forgotten
Thank you for sharing. It is an interesting build. I am glad you were able to get it fixed quickly. You really know what you are doing.
This car takes me back to being a car loving teenager back in the 1980s. That exhaust note is killer! Well done, Kyle.
This should really be a keeper car. They are slowly making their way back & nice ones like these get more rare everyday
Things happen. This is one piece to keep. You guys have done a great job on this car. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and be well.

Dang, I’m sorry to hear that brother
@@Jack-yw7bq it's all good. Just wasn't meant. 😁
Same here, I want a monte carlo or 442 of my birth year '85 and do a tpi or lt1 conversion

yeah thats a phenomenal exhaust note, deep and good rumble, not overly loud!
I'm glad you got this fixed bro I enjoyed the sound of the Tuned port injection converted in this Monte Carlo SS
Engine sounds awesome!
Love the Monte Carlo SS build!

It's beautiful bro 😍❤️ you're a true genius
Awesome car man. Ive always wanted one of these G bodies...id really like to find a clean 87/88 stock Cutlass Supreme or a GN or an SS like this one.
I know you spent some money on that digital gauge cluster. I want one for my 94 Silverado and I just can’t fork out that much right now lol
Gotta love those roadkill moments.
Bro I like your car dude!
How much does it cost to complete this tune port conversion
Can't wait to let you hear it rip!!!
Exhaust not too loud considering headers. The stance much improved.
Love this rig buddy
Did the TPI make a difference in the exhaust note? Sounds like it did.
When do you expect to start filming on the studebaker
Good stuff Sir!!
Sheesh! Very cool car!
One of the Cars I Always Wanted to Own. I Wonder how much are they now
Very cool project car kyle!:)
Awesome project! Just out of curiosity, why did you opt for the 305 instead of the 350?
Cool video saabkyle04 👍
I always wanted to add TPI to a Monte Carlo SS. Should have been that way from the factory.
Good luck 👍cherolet classic and test drive
The G body on GM is the cats meow.
Similar as Julian's Monte Carlo on Trailer Park Boys!
Damn sweet. What's happening with the chevelle?
Iv always wanted to build one these cars with a big block idk why they never came with one but ls swap would be the way to go now days
like to purchase this vehicle, is it for sale?
The way the car should have come factory
Ballas official car of choice (GTA:SA)
3:44 sounds like titanic 1997 whistle but with car engine and creaking
Great
Tpi is definitely the way this was supposed to go. Only Gripe is the exhaust should've went out the back
Yeh two big pipes coming out the back
And ot should had 6 speed manual trans.
