I’ve been teaching for 25 years and making videos (poorly) since 2008 on various channels. I’ve got to say your presentation style is amazing. I’d love to say that I’m going to steal it but it’s more accurate to say that I’m going to attempt the Dollar Tree knock off version of it. However, thanks for setting the bar so high. I appreciate what you put out there.
I’m here because of 3D tools support in Adobe Photoshop, illustrator and Adobe Dimension has gone through a change, rather than jump into their new Substance apps, I decide to learn Blender, thank you for your time in creating these videos, very detailed information👌Blender is a very well thought out app.👌
Really a great channel to learn Blender, From many years, I'm trying to find a right channel and now I can see I found out. Wonderful my great teacher 👏👏👏👏👏
These are some of the best produced Blender videos I’ve seen. Can’t wait to see your channel grow and for more content to come. I will definitely have my students watch these in our Blender intro classes.
@15:00 You don't have to use 3d cursor to change object origin. Just press "CTRL-.", then you can move and snap only object origin. Press CTRL-. again and you can move whole object again.
You're welcome! And to reset the Origin back to the world center, make sure you are in Object Mode, then press the N key to get the Transformations panel on the right. There, to the right side, click the View tab. Then under 3D cursor, manually set the X, Y and Z coordinates to zero. Then in your top menu, select the option for Object > Set Origin > Origin to 3D Cursor.
My model shows the wrong values with displaying edge lengths. The measure tool works ok and the size in the Item Dimension fields are correct. Any tips on what might be going on? This was an imported obj file which I then scaled from meters to inches and then applied the scale.
If I know correct measurements of an object, I create a cube with 0.01m size aka 1 centimeter, then I type the correct measurements into cubes properties.
