I was always under the impression that over 30 unbroken seconds of a piece of media was a copyright violation. That might vary by state or have changed since then and it’s still a shitty thing to do, but there may be automatic flagging systems set to detect things like that.

I'm a long time supporter of Schultz and bought his special because he explicitly said it was exclusive and limited then he fucking expanded the date range, waited a couple moths to get every dollar possible (he himself said he stopped Russian Dubbers from dropping his special on YT early) then put a bunch of monetization and put it for "free" on UA-cam. I've never been so dissapointed in a comic

I hope Ben Avery is getting a kick out of this. It won't cure the sexual abuse he suffered at Tim's hand for years but hopefully it helps.
Compare how Tim handled Ben leaving compared to Joey Diaz when Lee left. Night and day. Shows inner character of the comic. Joey and Lee are best friends to this day, Joey never exploited Lee before or afterward. Joey knew it was Lee's time and let him go with open arms. Any jokes poked at Lee were very clearly jokes as shown by their current strong relationship. Tim could learn a few things from Joey. Joey was a felon and handled his similar situation with more humanity and heart than Tim.
Joey has or had a distorted moral compass but he definitely handled that like a doctor

The worst part about a copywrite takedown is you can get all three strikes instantaneously, basically going from a channel with a squeaky-clean record to a permanently banned channel that can't make any more youtube channels forever all within a single second.

The reason that it being behind a paywall matters is because tim could successfully argue in court that he lost revenue which WOULD make it a breach of copyright law. thats how Companies get tv shows and movies taken down off of youtube. Though if we are being honest, I don't think tim is sitting there flagging tiny channels that steal his content. He either hired a company to do it or it was automated
