I couldn't imagine the disgust and betrayal, I really wished she reported this while he was in the hospital , and not picked him up at all let him rot alone.
Exactly. I understand why she did this, but she didn’t have to. She could have cut him off and left it at that, and went on with her own life.
I can understand her rage, I have gone through some less than ideal stuff with family, father especially. Not to this sexual extent, but abuse still, and I have felt that same rage and that I, in the heat of the moment, could really kill him. (If it would really ever go that far it hard to say)! But I swore to myself years ago that I‘m not ever gonna ruin the rest of my life with one moment of questionable „revenge“. Being happy & independent and cutting off contact is a far better revenge. 🌈
and then she tried to get all of her beta orbiters to do her bidding. men willing to do just about anything to make this woman happy. but when it comes to murder, someone had to draw a line in the sand. i mean, she could have gotten away with second degree murder, considering the circumstances. but there was an awful lot of planning and text messaging about details involving murder and cover up. so she kind of deserves the 25 to life sentence imo. her personal offense was not shared by a jury of her peers.
@@simonefloriane8895
She didn't kill him .
He killed his self with his lack of control.
He over dosed himself.
So because he stole pictures he deserves to lose his life? Over pictures? If those images are worth that much maybe she shouldn’t have shared them
I can't help but feel her pain, she literally loved this man as a father from youth and continued as an adult. Seeing those photos of herself had to be a shocking and sicking blow to witness on his computer.
Agreed. Can’t imagine how she must have felt.
@@JMu-sm4lyyour use of “females” says it all. Hope you never adopt because since you’re not biologically related you might try to sleep with your kid.
I raised my stepdaughter from the time she was 4 and the thought of me or anyone else doing what he did was the ultimate violation.
She was betrayed in the worst way. No sympathy for the sick bastard. Appeal to the highest!
Yes exactly!!
Really? Ultimate violation? It doesn't seem he ever acted on it. From everything I heard, he kept his impulses under control. 100% it was wrong for him to have these pictures. It certainly is not the ultimate violation. I've heard much worse stories.
Yep, appeal she never is released to murder again.
@@sy6550 To have the man you view as a father and he says he views you as his daughter, looking at you sexually and most likely jerking off to your naked pictures, is an extreme violation in so many ways. It would affect a person mentally, physically and spiritually. The fact that you don't see what the major problem is here, says a lot about you.
@@sy6550 yes, really! As someone who went through a more physical betrayal by my step father its actually less about the physical and more so about THE MIND FUCK of it being someone you trusted, someone you were bonded with in a father daughter kind of relationship. It wrecks your view of men and the world for the rest of your life, even your view of yourself!
I'd love to know more more about Jade's history. The whole family just seems wrong and slimy.
Same here.
@@RachelShannon I saw this mentioned before, do we even know for sure if there were any pictures on his computer?
Right!? .. it’s just weird..
I’m not trying to be insensitive with this observation. ((Obligatory ‘But’)). I can 100% understand being all KINDS of freaked out, betrayed, horrified and angry and anything else if you found pictures on a pc like that.. but.. she knew where they were from, so, she was aware they were taken? Just not aware of who was looking at them?
So.. I’m having a little trouble understanding the very extreme “I don’t feel safe” reaction.. cant sleep on a bed? Needs a noisy tarp? Cant shower?
he doesn’t live in the same house with you currently, (he’s in the hospital), nothing was mentioned about her being drugged and posed against her will or awareness..
so.. it just seems like her crippling massive reaction was disproportionate?
Like.
Either she’s inflating it for sympathy in court, there’s something MORE that we haven’t been told, or she’s got a personality/psych issues that isn’t disclosed or diagnosed.. ?
Or I did I miss something earlier?
I can absolutely empathize and sympathize with her, but the whole thing is just weird..
WHY did she pick him up from hospital in the 1st place??? WHY was there this weird circus about “personal security” just so she could shower 🤔? But then she’s perfectly fine to go alone to pick him up and BE alone with him for all that time, and her security hero is? Where? He clearly agreed to SOMETHING with her ? But then plays ‘lost the phone’ “I’m too busy”?
I’ll give my dude $100 ?
@@ruththinkingoutside.707 I agree, that was VERY strange. It just… doesn’t all add up.
@@ruththinkingoutside.707 you know, I had all these same thoughts but felt bad for them, like I was shaming someone for how they reacted to a trauma or accusing them of lying about how badly they were affected- you bring up some really great points that help me to understand why I was feeling that way though. There’s really something off here, and not just because of the text messages.
I wish she would have called the police and made him feel as exposed and embarrassed as he made her feel.
Agreed. She could have gone about it differently so she’d still have her own life to live
She also had the opportunity to get a plea deal. She could have said: I was mad, I was afraid I wanted to kill him but could not force myself to do it, then I let him exposed *knowing* that he could die. Plea manslaughter avoids the investigation getting less than. 10 years. The fact that she believes she could get away with it, and the fact that she believes people will help her kill him shows that she is most likely a sociopath or at least a narcissist. That does not justify what the dude did stealing her pictures.
@@jaimeduncan6167 if she showed sociopathic and narcissistic tendencies, then I sincerely question the existence of these photos rather than taking her claim at face value.
She had just met Allen, kind of surprised that she felt more comfortable having him stand guard while she showered
Definitely conflicting; she should have cut him off and reported him to the police though, or just left him to it. He had alcohol and drug problems and was accident prone so probably wouldn't have lasted long without her help. Tragic.
Exactly. Her not helping him would be a big enough punishment. Especially if he knew why. She could have cut him off and been done with him.
@@RachelShannon I suppose we can't really decide what she could have should have done that would have been enough unless it happens to us ourselves. Like what we think is irrelevant. Such a shame :(
Total side note but I love the way you tell these stories you have such a relaxing voice lol
So many uploads lately, thank you so much for all your hard work for us. It’s really appreciated ❤
Glad you like them! Thank you♥️
If she wouldn’t have lied & went to such extremes to cover it up….oh yeah & plan it thru texts 🙄 the jury probably would’ve shown some compassion & seen it as a crime of passion & she may have only gotten 2nd degree murder or manslaughter or maybe even acquitted bc honestly who could blame her!?! 😡
I don't think I've ever heard of a case with such poor planning & wishful thinking that she wouldn't get caught as she created so much evidence of her actions.
She should have left him at the hospital and ran away and then reported him. But 🤷🏻♀️
Exactly. She could have cut him out of her life and never looked back. If she did that, she’d be living her life right now
She didn't have to pick him up from the hospital. She could have spoken with hospital social workers and got him placed for 21 days. She had so many things that she could have done that wouldn't have required her to see him at all.
Agreed. She could have just cut him out of her life and walked away
Asking victims to take the high road for the sake of their abusers is vile.
@@RachelShannon I would have destroyed his computer first, then cut him out her life while letting him live with the shame.
@@xxmakeuplover05xx agreed.. he got what he deserved. sorry 🤷🏻♀️ the law wouldn't have came down hard enough anyways let's be real
@@xxmakeuplover05xx it's not "asking victims to take the high road for the sake of their abuser", We can't take the law into our own hands, vigilante Justice isn't justice. Also it would have been for her own sake, so she didn't spend the rest of her life in jail.
The obituary for this guy. It’s making me so mad
She was clearly pushed to the edge. I wished she would have just went to the police rather end his life and lose her freedom.💯
Agreed with both of you… I just wish she reported him, then just cut him out of her life forever.
@@patty-pat-pat Yeah unfortunately that is true. Too often perverts get away with little to no punishment for their crimes.
@@patty-pat-pat Damn!!!! That's deep.
Men don't punish each other🥺🥺.
Sick and Sad.
@@MizzTrinieFyre …. I am in I read that comment and it is sick and sad but not for the reasons you think. I think it’s sick and sad because it just sounds like trying to demonize men with something that has no correlation with reality. First of all, just speaking culturally, the vast vast majority of men would lay down their life to protect the women. They love their children your mother, your sister, your cousin, if a man is trying to take it vantage of her or Harper. Even women that they don’t know men will put themselves on the line to defend them. If a man was beating on a woman in public, in a store, how long do you think it would take for other men to come to her defense and be willing to fight the man beating on her, put themselves on a line risk, their health risk being injured to protect a woman they don’t know from Adam? I mean I’ve seen it happen in person and on the Internet. No man is going to publicly get away with taking advantage or harming a woman if there’s other men around. They don’t have to know the woman they don’t have to be involved, but men will intervened and protect that woman. Good man won’t stand for that. Also, when it comes to the criminal aspect of it, there are thousands and thousands and thousands of men that are in prison for long sentences, even the rest of their lives for abusing women or abusing children in whatever way.
Another big boy dad seems to be ignored in this comment section is that there are many many women in all aspects up and down the hierarchy when it comes to criminal justice and punishment. Do you have women, police chiefs, women, police, women, states, attorneys and Districk attorneys, women, prosecutors, women, judges, women on parole boards , women that are social workers. There’s plenty of women that make plenty of decisions when it comes to crime like that all across America so to pretend that it’s just man that make all these decisions is completely inaccurate. Also, like I said, to pretend that men will not punish other men for assaulting, or abusing women or children, or that they won’t stand up for them, or even lay their life down for them, whether they know the women or children, or not to pretend that’s accurate is also just completely ridiculous.
Disagree, after seeing SO MANY cases where women does just that, the police and judge would just give him a slap, or would not pursue it any further, because it was a "long overdue action," and they can't do anything without proof. For example, there's a case about this UA-camr who found missing bodies, he was viewed as a decent and caring guy... turns out, he had SA one of his family member. And, the family member have been trying to convict him, but didn't succeed, until later on, finally. I know most people don't want to condemn violence, but I disagree when it comes to pedos and SA dudes. As a woman who have been SA at a young age, with two of my family members, plus, some dudes in my past life, I AGREE with what she did! The betrayal, the hurt, especially to someone you look up to! This is why I will never date, especially having a daughter! Most dudes are pervs and pedos, just being honest, from my observation. You will NEVER understand, until you have experience yourself!
Considering the "evidence" against him is coming from a known liar and murderer, I don't buy it.
Exactly. 💯 everyone is quick to say "I do t blame her for killing him" but people don't look into the facts of the case. She "deleted" the evidence soooo how do we know? She's a liar. So we are supposed to believe that? Idk
The way she kept trying to involve her friends 🤦♀️
Definitely not the smartest move
I don’t think jurors understand the concept of “beyond a reasonable doubt” anymore. I don’t get how a jury member could sit in this trial and not have SOME doubt as to her guilt. No way could I have convicted her based on the evidence presented.
Um.... no there is no doubt.
@@stevemora7845 lol meanwhile there was no evidence of her doing what she is accused of in the autopsy. So you're up for conviction with no supporting evidence? Cool good to know. Keep that energy when it's a man being charged with shit.
I remember a day when I was about 16/17. It was New Years or 4th of July, sometime where people were over & the adults were drinking.
My mom sent me to go get my dad & I found him passed out drunk on his bed. I shook him a few times. He grabbed my hand really tight & made a very graphic comment about my breasts, followed by his nickname for my mom.
A completely innocent moment where he mistook me for her, a man who never gave a hint of inappropriate behavior towards kids, but just hearing those words from his mouth was repulsive.
I was embarrassed & sickened. I can still feel that 30 years later. I never told either parent.
He would have been absolutely humiliated. She would have found it hysterical & added it to her many funny family anecdotes.
Just the words in his voice made my skin crawl. I can’t imagine how I would feel if I found photos of myself on the computer of someone I regard as a father.
It’s really just gross. It’s unnatural. Girls should feel safe growing into their bodies & sexuality without the men in their families sniffing around. I don’t care if they weren’t related by blood or even marriage (though it sounds like some of the images were from when he was her legal stepfather).
He broke a promise to be a caretaker & protector, becoming the threat himself. It’s unforgivable & far too common.
Yes, she’s guilty. She killed him. It wasn’t a crime of passion, she didn’t just snap & do it when she found them. It was planned & she involved other people.
I imagine Alan is one of those big talk guys who stopped responding because he’s full of bs. He’s a coward who thinks acting like a tough killer makes him interesting or important or whatever. Those guys bother me. I’m not a fan of killers but there’s usually something underlying it. This is glamorization of murder to the extent of impersonation. It’s its own kinda crazy but very pathetic.
I don’t think it’s hard to empathize with jade, but she deserves prison time. She had options. She wasn’t in danger. He did something sickening and I get that triggering a big response, it just wasn’t the smart way to go.
But, unlike most cases, because of Tom’s actions I was able to laugh at the “weekend at Bernie’s “ reference without guilt.
"It’s really just gross. It’s unnatural. Girls should feel safe growing into their bodies & sexuality without the men in their families sniffing around." This, so so hard. All of our lives, we're programmed to be so guarded and even scared of sex, because of the actions of men. Men are allowed to celebrate sex and their bodies to the point where we're just there to DO stuff to (never "with"... we just lie there and get grabbed and slammed and whatever the hell else) for them to get-off. People wonder why girls typically not just not like sex, but *avoid* having it. Well, what's in it for us? When guys BRAG about how they're not simps through never offering their women pleasure, what the fuck would we wanna do anything with them for?
Lotta girls out there who get really fucked up by this world.
Sniffing around is basic primate instinct. Fresh baked cookies will be discovered and sampled. Look at the animal kingdom. Men are baboons. #MeToo#YogaPants
@@lemonyellow3117 it's more the men who behave and emulate that one specific primate tribe's males (can't recall if they were baboons or another type) researchers did a documentary on, where the alpha males held power by literally brutalizing not just the females, but the males deemed worthless/weak/etc. It was great for 'em, 'til one day it wasn't in a big way. When the tribe came across a large stockpile of left-behind food in some building's warehouse, the alpha males went wild on their "lessers" to prevent anyone but themselves partaking of the bounty.
Only thing was, it was left behind for a reason. The humans abandoning it knew it was a toxic waste dump of food that'd kill ya if you so much as looked at it wrong. The primate alphas didn't. Every last one of the abusive-alpha kings were unceremoniously "unseated" at once. The rest of the tribe of females and supposed "betas" was freed of their bonds in an instant, and their small society was rebuilt, reformed and made to flourish exponentially in record time.
It's like a movie, ain't it?
You are spoiling us with videos lately ! ❤️💗
Seriously! 💗🤍💗
Glad you’ve been liking them!
Agreed!
Maybe I missed something, but is there proof that these pictures actually existed on his computer? Why did she delete them? I understand it would be traumatic to have to look at them again and know that the police would look at them too, but that's literally her only defense. Did anyone other than Jade see them?
I’m not sure. I wonder if Alan saw them as well, but she did delete them so there’s technically no proof as far as I’ve seen. But I don’t question her motive based on her testimony and her body language when talking about it
@@RachelShannon I'm inclined to believe they existed too, but I don't think she should be surprised that she was charged with first degree murder when she deleted the only thing that could make the jury sympathize with her
@@RachelShannon Same...
@@RachelShannoni haven’t watched the whole video but even if pics are deleted from a computer a specialist should be able to retrieve items that were once in a computer…
@@perfectlyyoubeauty Exactly what I was thinking
I feel sorry for her, of course, she didn't have to kill him, I'm not sure if she actually did kill him.
As for him, I don't feel any sympathy, all pervs, pedophiles, etc, deserve death. Sorry if I'm being too harsh or drastic on this situation, but he was NOT a good man.
She could have easily made it look like an accident and gotten away with it with zero questions… I cannot imagine being in that situation with someone you loved and trusted. Some you helped daily! Even if she reported it, it would have been a slap on the wrist like it always is for these predators 😢
I couldn't agree more first-time offense he would have gotten off Scott free.
Yeah definitely not the best decision making. Not condoning the murder and all, but I was thinking well yeah I kinda get why🤷🏽♀️
She watched him die. Not sure normal people would have been able to do that.
Wow very interesting case. Thanks for sharing, first time to hear about this.
Thank for sharing. Love the channel!
Thanks for watching! It’s a crazy case for sure.
I fully believe she killed him. Why didn't she call the police when she found the pictures? The text messages were incredibly damning imo and the fact that she didn't call 911 when she supposedly found him dead. I don't care how scared you are or how guilty you may think you will look, if you find someone dead, you call 911. You don't cover them up in the driveway and hope they won't be found. Maybe Tom wasn't a saint, but that doesn't give her the right to play judge, jury and executioner. And I'm curious to know if anyone else saw the pictures or was she the only one? Because if she destroyed his computer, how do we know they were even on there? For all we know she could have made that up, too.
I don’t personally think she made up the pictures based on how she tells the story and her mannerisms when talking. However, I agree. I think whatever she did, she knew he was going to die whether she did it on purpose or not, and her not calling for help makes her look really bad.
I think she made it up, again who would use these photos as a screensaver... It just sounds off somehow... and if she was so disgusted by him after finding these pictures, then why even help him get home from the hostpital, or checking that he got the right medication.. I think she contacted this security guard, to back up he story more about these photos. Well knowing she wanted to kill her stepfather... Even if he had these photos, it doesn't justify her killing him...
Yes I can see somebody being quite conflicted when it comes down to this case.
Agreed
She should have pressed charges. Now she is in prison and he is dead.
I love watching you. You are really good at talking and everything is perfect! Keep up the good stories :)
Thank you!
Rachel she got what she deserves , all she to do was get out of his life completely after telling him off, and getting some legal advice , she didn't have to ever see him again. No one should play God.
Not an excuse for murder as far as I'm concerned
Hi Rachel Valentine’s Day was fun Yesterday happy you make videos like these
Thank you! You too!
I agree with you. There was not enough evidence to convict her of first degree murder. I think that was a little much. I do think she should be held accountable. But there’s not enough to convict her of this.
Actually the evidence was there in the legal context where the state is required to prove two things, one being the act of killing someone itself(someone died and that the accused caused the death) and secondly the presence of intent to cause the death at the time of the killing. She made the states job easy on proving these two by documenting her actions when she texted the friend that she had overdosed him to render him helpless so she can struggle him(so she caused his death and when she solicited a friend to help kill him,she proved her intentions was to cause his death so the second murder ingredient of malice aforethought, was established.
Do I think she should be in jail for Murder,No but that is the law!!
I wish she didn't kill him. She lost her freedom. The step father was so screwed up. But killing him didn't resolve her problems.
Exactly
He might have been a sick pervert but she is not the judge jury or executioner! She should of went about it the right way and called the police!!! Now she is in prison possibly for the rest of her life!
she should have called the police and let them handle it.
I would have been shocked, disturbed, scared, angry and so deeply sickened to the point of puking too… ! However, I would definitely 💯 gone to the police with the evidence and have him locked up! Apparently she was triggered to revenge in such an illegal manner! 😢
Exactly. It was a horrible situation but she could have just cut him out of her life and gone on with her life.
So much she said!
Unpopular opinion and I haven't finished the video yet but she intended to kill him and deserves to be punished for it. From what I understand he found /stole the pictures that she took? Yes that's disgusting but she was in no immediate danger from him and picked him up knowing what she had planned to do. We can't go around killing people because they are perverts
As bad as i feel for her, by law I agree. She could have cut him out of her life, told the police, and been done with it.
I agree, except the law doesn’t seem to punish people enough for offences like these. Women’s suffrage, pain, mental trauma and loss of trust lives with them forever but the law doesn’t see this as much of a problem.
Was it ever proven that he had had photos of her? I’m not being facetious…I heard the part about her destroying the hard drive and don’t recall hearing that pics were ever discovered or seen by anyone but Jade.
I am not sure if anyone else saw them but I wondered that too. But I personally do believe her based on her body language when telling the story.
@@RachelShannon I believe her as well but I do wonder how it would’ve impacted the trial had the photos been proven to be in his possession. Maybe she could’ve received lighter sentencing.
@@anhserc3534 I never knew no one else saw the pictures. I agree that probably swayed the juror because to me it would've leave a space for doubt. I saw my Mom's husband spying on me. But I have no proof, so I just ignore him.
@@roshellegouldbourne787 Not only did no one else see the pictures, but she admitted that she took the pictures herself and sent them to her then boyfriend. She admitted also that she had the SD card and the camera uploads, and since she lived in the same house at the time, she could just as easily have uploaded the pictures herself. It wasn't like he was spying on her and she was shocked to find out that he had taken pictures without her knowledge or consent. SHE took the pictures. Its only her say so that puts one of the pictures as his screen saver. Which makes the bodyguard and the tarp seem rather theatrical to my mind. Not that she would have wanted to have her step-father in possession of them, but there are lots of ways that she could have put the pictures there herself.
Good point.
Did they prove he actually had the photos?
Don't text your mates about your murder plans. Not clever. Without those texts she may well have got away with it.
I’ve never been this early.. absolutely love your videos thank you for what you do
Love that!! Thank you so much
He Rachel! I absolutely love your channel.I wish she'd of handled this differently. I totally remember this because I live in poway in San Diego. Keep up the great work!
People keep saying that she should have let the police deal with it but I don't think they understand how oftentimes these cases don't even make it to a courtroom, let alone actually getting a conviction.
This behaviour usually escalates too, easily could've led to this woman being further victimised.
That’s definitely true, but she also could have just cut him out of her life and stopped helping him, in addition to calling police. Let him face what he did. Instead, she is also now suffering and wasting her life in jail
When I read your title I immediately thought to myself "good!"😂
I don’t understand why your 1st instinct wouldn’t be going to the police. How is this the best option for someone to choose?!
All around this is a sad case and I wish she would have just called the police instead of murdering him. The way she went about it seems very intentional and malicious. It's hard to feel bad for her. This is a tough one.
Why would anyone text about these things
Oh dang! I’m vaguely familiar with this case. Looking forward to your video on it
I know I've heard you say for us to send cases we want you to cover to your email but I don't remember what it is. So I hope you see this comment. I was researching another case and stumbled on a pretty recent missing person case. I haven't seen anything about it yet but I think it's because it happened in the UK I believe. Her name is Nicola Bulley, and from what I've read she's still missing and she's a mother so I thought I'd share her name with you and hopefully you see this!! Your an amazing person and you can literally see how much you care about every single case you cover. Your definitely one of my favorite true crime you tubers 😊
While I agree, I think there is such a media frenzy with so little answers, it’s best to wait until more is known, it has had so much media attention that unfortunately other people that have gone missing during this haven’t had the publicity they deserve - hopefully channels like these can fill those gaps and give a voice to those who haven’t had it in the media
Thank you from Australia 👍👍
I agree with your suspicion of what u think was supposed to happen...as to what did happen... But only she would know...
What this guy did was awful. He shoulda gone to jail.
What she did was awful, premeditated murder.
Exactly. Both awful situations
This made me so sick. She trusted him. He violated that trust in the most disrespectful and disgusting way. I feel sorry for her.
Tragic on every level.
I knew the case you was talking about as soon as you started and although I can't agree with her killing him I understand why she did! This sick piece of crap should never have had pictures like this of this young girl. I lost my dad a year ago and the thought of someone so precious to you to have violated her trust and want such pictures of his daughter is beyond disgusting 🤢. So I'm afraid I struggle to feel bad for him.
He wasn’t her real dad. And every guy has photos like that of young girls. Why do you think they run around in in #MeToo#YogaPants.
It was a child he brought up as her dad, her dad. No all men don't have pictures like that of children they brought up, that's sick.
I kind of think these photos arent real and never existed.. I think she had alternate reason for wanting him dead... him having nudes of her is weak....we seem to only have her word that these pics were found.
I’m confused why Tom was given ambien, and oxycodone while he went to the hospital for Xanax and alcohol addiction??
Right…
This is so disturbing. She was so full of hurt, anger and rage that her mind was clouded by the images she saw. It would have been so much better for her had she just left it to the police. I'm not sure what I would have done had I been in her position. Such a horrible story.
Why would the hospital loan her a wheelchair? Also, she took the hard drive out the computer so when was it destroyed?
I think she probably did find some pics on his computer because she used his computer to download them off the SIM card. Tom probably cropped the pics so he wouldn’t have to see her face but had something to look at because he was lonely. She plotted to murder him because she was mad but also because she thought she’d inherit his assets.
idk why but something abt her testimony just rubs me the wrong way.
I am not conflicted in this case at all. Tom is a disgusting pervert and Jade is a cold-blooded murderer. I understand how Jade felt violated, but it doesn't justify killing somebody. Never in my entire life have I ever thought that the best way to deal with the situation is to kill someone. Maybe I'm crazy 🤪
I agree. I understand feeling disgusted and betrayed, but murder and trying to get your friends to help you cover it up seems a bit overboard, especially when she could have reported him and cut contact as best as possible. This makes me wonder if more had happened or was going on.
I agree. Tom is a sick man, but that doesn’t mean Jade gets to kill him. She could have cut him out of her life and left it at that, but she didn’t.
And because of that, she's in jail for life over that man smh. She gave him the ultimate control over her.
I’ve been searching for someone to have said this! Thank you!!! I believe she did kill him on purpose and he’s a disgusting creepy. I was molested as a child by a family member and sure I was a child, but it hasn’t crossed my mine to murder him. However I’ve also been abused and said things along the lines of if it was legal I’d get rid of my ex. However it’s not and ending his life isn’t worth spending the rest of my life in jail despite how despicable of a person he is. I feel for her for having to find those photos and having been violated, but my sympathy stops when i believe she killed him.
@@samanthahope1316 I agree with you...not saying that it's not traumatizing as well, but I would have had more sympathy for her had she molested/sexually assaulted her. You shouldn't kill someone over pictures..
She was using him, and something not quite right was going on between them. To try to hire a hit man to kill him over pictures that she had taken and plastered all over or where they could be easily accessible. Nope, I'm not buying her tale for a second. She has a violent person. She doesn't need to be around oeþ t 8th
What a twisted "family " and not too smart. Tom's betrayal of trust was disgraceful and Jade's plotting and planning is equally disgraceful. She needs to answer for his death and let the courts decide what mitigating circumstances exist and how to proceed.
I'm conflicted because there doesn't seem to be any proof of her claims that there were actually photos of her on the computer, unless I missed something? If there was proof of the alleged photos, I'd have an easier time empathizing with her.
Sometimes you know you'll never get the justice you deserve and sometimes you take it into your own hands. Something horrible happened to me and justice was never delivered. It's a reason i listen to true crime. Idk. Killing is never okay. She just might've thought it was the only way to heal her pain.
Other recaps say Jade was 11 when she met Tom, her stepdad.
Such a shame that this poor woman lost her freedom.
Agreed. She had a lot of ways she could have gone about this. Sucks that this was the result.
Or let her free, and risk another episode where she feels betrayed.
Alot of people don't think though and do the worst thing they could do
Don't have sympathy for either of them
I just found you recently and i love your videos and especially the stories you're covering so constructive criticism: too much "she said, she said, she said"... switch up (according to, jade added, additionally?) So it's not so repetitive. Loved your video regardless but just a suggestion to sound more professional or less repetitive.. I watch alot of true crime and you're one of my new favorites! Thus far I love the cases you've chosen, they're not the same repetitive ones I've seen over and over and you do an excellent job of giving your opinion respectfully. Definitely a new fan here ♡
Was it proven that there indeed were photos of her? Were they able to recover the photos? Because if it's just her claim and I don't believe a killer, however if the police found proof of the images then it could have been manslaughter and she would have recieved less time.
Giving someone a bunch of Ambien intentionally is murder. Even if you intended to move him to his brd
I feel so horrible for her and just wish she would have just gone straight to the police versus her taking things into her own hands 😢
Agreed. I understand how she felt, but I wish she acted differently than throwing her whole life away :/
You trash his place, not kill the dude. Use the pics as fodder to destroy what's left of his life or something. Pro revenge, not nuclear
There’s literally no proof those pictures were actually there. It makes no sense someone would kill someone over pictures you took of yourself, he didn’t take them. I think this was her excuse to get rid of him because she was tired of taking care of him. Her txt msgs alone prove she’s guilty
I agree with Rachel on this case
Hello Rachel!! Pretty as ever!! I always like right away because I know it will be a good one. I'm late but gonna watch now.
The fact that she moved to the same street is strange. I do not think it is a coincidence. I think there was more to their relationship and the photo's...
She should have hired attny darrell brooks to argue jury nullification
such a shame.. i feel so sorry for her
Not she thought she was really about to walk free..
Well, I hope she has a GREAT LAWYER, to get her off. Smh
It's disgusting how pedophile's roam, and they should be handled. Sorry not sorry.
No she was actually found guilty of first-degree murder.
@@grapeshot Thank you, i didnt even watch vid before I posted, I only seen the title. I understand, vigilante justice is against the law and dangerous, but he deserved it.
I wouldn’t murder him, but he might find himself without his important bits. Probably be mad enough to take the whole kit and caboodle.
The thing is, if what she says happened is really how it went down, that doesn’t in any way explain the multiple times she told other people that he was becoming awake and aware and aggressive. She says he took all the pills at one time, no? That doesn’t explain why he kept waking up and getting aggressive. I think she dosed him multiple times.
Wait so he didn't take the photos he just somehow managed to end up with ones she had sent to an ex so she murdered him but yet no pics were found on the computer!? What if the ex sent them to the guy maybe he was a pervert but that doesn't justify the fact she could of just called the police and reported him and stayed the hell away from him she literally went to pick him up from the hospital after seeing the pics 🤦
I think I'd have reacted similarly.. in my mind. But in real life I'm not sure I'd be able to murder my own stepdad... idk
Yeah I agree, not condoning murder and all, but I also was thinking well damn I understand🤷🏽♀️
How do you know there were any photos of her, have you seen them, did the jury see them; it's only what she said...😢
Unpopular opinion but I see this crime as premeditated murder. She had several opportunities to change her mind. Was her stepdad a crappy human? Of course! Cut him out and if you want never forgive him.
Sorry I don't feel bad for her she should have called the cops! With him dead and her destroying the hard drive there is no proof he did anything she claims he did.
I Agree With You.
Crazy to think that if she hadn’t said anything and just left him in an arm chair, she would of probably gotten away with it.
So how did he get photos of her up to age 25/26 when she only lived with him up to age 23? Like did he install something on her computer to get access? I'd be having my laptop searched for hidden stuff just in case. I don't understand her logic of him being mad about her deleting the photos...so what if he's mad??? Instead i get not deleting them for proof.. unfortunately i don't know what the police would do to get the photos removed. She should have just "accidentally" destroyed the computer and hard drive and go to small claims court if needed and then walked away from him forever and get a restraining order. Yeah the betrayal is real but throwing your own life away is a lot. Of course it's easy to say when you aren't there in the moment, but damn i feel like there had to be a simpler resolution that didn't end up with jail time.
She needed a better lawyer, but i think the fact she has all those messages goes against her since they were all several days after initially finding the nudes. A crime of passion (or in this case probably pure rage) can't be premeditated and idk if her asking for help to kill him would count. Interesting how they tried doing a not guilty plea. I do think she did it, but i thought maybe she'd get a lesser sentence for extenuating circumstance or that she'd take a plea deal. She'll probably be paroled early.
Here’s the thing, we don’t know if these pictures actually existed because she “deleted” them, but anyone knows just because you delete anything from your computer it can still be recovered from the hard drive. LE should have used forensic or the defense should have ordered forensic done on the hard drive to recover the images and to see if he researched anything odd on the internet. All of this could have been done either by LE or the defense. She still would have been convicted because she still murdered him but the defense could have proven temporarily insanity. Bad on the defense and LE.
That series of texts is in a way heartbreaking. I hate that she took those steps and if she had a friend there, they could have possibly talked her down from what she was planning to do to Tom. Just really sad all around. I can't imagine the intense rage she felt towards Tom after finding those photos, it's the ultimate betrayal of trust. She should have just abandoned him and never picked him up or spoke to him again and let him figure out the rest of his life alone without her. But I do understand she wanted to confront him and make him pay for what he did. I wouldn't been surprised if he would've had a heart attack upon finding out that she found the photos and died that way.
The texts show that there is something wrong with her. (possible narcissism or worse). Healthy people do not expect people to do extreme favors for them, let alone murder. She could have gone, by the way with a plea deal, but she also believe she could avoid any consequences.
I haven't ever heard of Capital One Shopping before! Thank you for the info about that! Your hair still looks really good. The colors are great!
I would imagine since Janette had mental health, drug and alcohol problems that she was more than likely the abuser. Especially if Tom, Jade and Cash had to split in the middle of the night. Janette was probably self medicating and Tom just doesn't seem like the one who would be violent.
Gabapentin is given to patients for nerve pain....either from shingles neuropathy or diabetic neuropathy. I think it was also given for seizures. It is not a narcotic but is now a controlled substance in most states, if not all. It was changed to a controlled substance once it got widely popular and can be addictive. Popular because of how it reacts with opioids and can make them stronger...I think it helps with symptoms of withdrawal.
Definitely not conflicted.
If she ruined the computer then how do we know there was even pictures of her to begin with? If no pictures were discovered then I would believe the whole thing was set up by her..I mean come on she even had a plan B lol
Ive just got one question. The guy was a pervert. Once she found the photos, why didn’t she just call the police? Let them handle it.
❤️💜💚
Right. And she could have just cut him off and been done there, instead of wasting her entire life.
@@RachelShannonExactly, that’s my whole point. Really sad. And she could have just turned him in. Im sure he would have been convicted, she’d be rid of him and she’d be free. So sad and unnecessary.
❤️💜💚
Something huge is missing from the story - I got a feeling she's hiding something or
ALOTTA some ----- things.
Like what?
@@natashameyers249 I dont know precisely What's missing _ but the situation told how it is here's. seem she has hidin motive. deeper than the pictured. The step daughter said it was the screen saver - she lived by him_ helping him many times before . for years & just now she see the computer???? And he has close up personal pictures. how it was described doesn't seem there shawer overview - not just bedroom over view- violating here like that only seeing her changing & naked - how did he get such close forwarded facing pictures. You have to be at certain angles to get certain views when taking pictures. And the way its spoken of and described. close personal areas. Leaves room to question - ? Was she ok at some point - & something else set her off? I DONT know enough about this case other than my opinion on this information.
This is pre meditation....she knew what she was doing she's guilty and any of these people could have stopped this....wrong
I have to disagree with you. He had her pictures from when she was underaged.
While I would have preferred that he get sent to prison to be used by the other inmates, I have no problem with him dying.
Had I been on that jury I would have acquitted her.
I definitely see your point of view and part of me agrees. But unfortunately for her, she could have gone about it differently and she’d still have her life to live right now.
@@RachelShannon The thing is, you really don't know unless you are in that situation how you will really act.
I hope you never do..
