Recorded with a stock 2012 Fender American Standard Stratocaster in Sienna Sunburst, a 2014 Fender Blues Deluxe 40 watt combo, a Behringer C3 condenser microphone, Cubase 5, Amplitube 3 and Amplitube Fender all running on Windows 7 Professional on a Dell computer.
Echoes isn’t a song, it’s a journey. A journey that ends sooner than it should.
I think it's a perfect length
Long enough to take you on a journey, but not too long so that it still will leave you wanting more

At 64 years old, I’ve listened to a lot of music through the years and Echoes is still my #1 song of all time.
Seeing it played by such a young man makes me goose bumps. It will be a great classic for future generations.

One thing about, David Gilmore, I really like, is the way he plays the Guitar and makes it sounds like so many different clean parts, or even other instruments.......Huge Diversity!
So right man, that's magic! David must have possessed your body. I've seen a lot of covers of this song lately, and some are close, but they just don't have the feel. ..something about the jazzy blues funkedelica. There was one bend that wasn't high enough, which only made me realize, it is real, you are real, and it's really damn difficult, specifically without your talent. Thank God for it. I loved watching it better than live in Pompeii version because it's up close and personal the whole time. Thanks

I still remember watching live at Pompeii 30 years ago, just mesmerised from the start. So good.

First mescaline trip peaked as the "fanfare" announced the fourth and final movement of Echoes.
From that moment, I was goone and in love for life.
Those super clean bends in the intro are tricky, eh? ;) So easy to go just a little sharp or flat. DG's ears are so well-tuned to the intervals. He'd had like close to a decade of failing and learning from those failures before he hit his stride in 71.
