I love watching John stride about, weeding, trimming, wryly commenting, planning the future garden… NO ONE else does a garden video quite like John!
I also love how he finishes off his videos without all the goodbyes etc.
A bit of reluctance to look the hand held directly in the eye.
I just found him, he knows his stuff! I love learning from how he does stuff.
True gardener. John’s videos make me smile every time. Thank you!
Always a treat to walk with John through his gardens. I would absolutely love to go to Ireland and my first stop would have to be John’s gardens. Thanks for sharing your passion. 👍❤️😊
I started to watch your gardning videos when I was getting well from a head injury 🤕 and was very low and lonely. You made smile again and helped me to go back to the garden. I got the confidence to cut back the 🌹 brushes with a kick 😂😂😂😂 like you did . You are my favourite garden therapist ❤
I think my favorite part was where are we going to finish off. Brought me a smile.
Love that therapy business idea, made me laugh.
I really enjoy watching your videos.
I’m in America no matter, I still learn so much from you.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.
I sit here with my pad and pen writing down any plants john likes or recommends hoping to replicate on a smaller level in my modest garden. Thanks John for doing these videos you make my day.
Me too!, I've never had such success in my garden, esp shady areas thanks to John. I also find now while on my journeys I'm noticing and pointing out plants John has lol can't help it 😂
I never know when you say "finish off" if you're going to show us a plant or Chelsea Chop a plant. 😂 You are a treasure, John. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing gardens with us. When you said it had rained all of July I could have cried. I live in East Texas (U.S.). We have been over 100° and no rain for weeks now. We are burning up. So it's a pleasure to see your happy plants. Would you tell us where you got your shirt ? It's perfect.
love your attitude with the public😂, I am going to adopt "blowing against the wind".
Hi John and David, what a good idea charging for therapeutic classes umm, it's a win win🙂 thanks for the video, full of great information as usual I learn so much and your garden looks fabulous. 🏴 5:48
I just today thought " I haven't seen a John Lord video for a while, and here you are! Perfect end to the day.
Get those therapy classes going John….I would come if I lived near enough 😂😂😂. We’ve sooo much rain in England for a good month and 1/2 ….last year was so dry with the record heat…..such a pleasant change. Everything’s shot up in growth in my garden. Thoroughly enjoyed the video as always John ❤

Anyway it's such a plesure listening to you...
Cheers from Veneto Italy!
You are such an expert! Your Garden looks amazing
Rosa Mutabilis is on the very top of my current Wish List. It’s absolutely gorgeous, the range of colours that it chose
John your secret garden is always so beautiful!
Love love the captions for the plants. Btw t shirt is cool 🌟
I like your t-shirt!
My new favorite! The gardens are fabulous and your maintenance is entertaining and informative.
Lovely look at the August garden. I love helenium too. One has to make sure they can grow as tall as they want. Great late season pollinator plant.
Those darn customers buying the plants before you can plant them, lol! You are awesome and your garden is looking beautiful. ❤️
John’s gardening knowledge is exceptional, I want the crocosmia Limpopo also helianthus morning sun and Loddon gold and helenium ruby tuesday and short and sassy the list goes on, can you send them over to Scotland, the garden centres here never stock anything unusual, you’re amazing
Love watching your fun video!
I remember the Gunneras at the SF Botanical Garden glad you had a chance to see that gem in Golden Gate Park.
For the black spot I’ve gone over to Kordes roses. German bred for disease resistance and it shows, wonderful plants.
Me too!!! For Florida!
Mr lord. We missed ya man. Glad u back.
Lots of wisdom in the video! Thank you again for sharing your experience
He is a hoot! I love watching his videos
Hey John I’d sign up for those therapeutic classes! Think about it. Easy $. Ha.
Such beautiful plants thx for sharing.
Sir, congratulations on the new camera. Garden looks better finally.
John our Mutabilis is 20+ years old and we cut it to 2 feet tall and it comes back to 10 feet tall every season!! The different colors as the flowers age is lovely and the bees love it!
SF Botanical gardens is amazing, one of the best I have visited! Heading to Brooklyn Botanical gardens in a couple of weeks! I am with you regarding the putting in, lifting and re-planting. I do hanging baskets and window baskets annually but that is it! Too much work!
I need that T-shirt!!! Link please!!❤ Brilliant video as usual !!💥🥰
Your garden is looking amazing. My Michigan garden usually very dry at this time of the year is also benefiting from a lot of rain. My phlox is looking amazing (It could have been the dry spring and wet summer). I also love SF botanic garden - one of my favorite places in the world.
Can’t wait 💎
I love his shirt! Is that from
The nursery? John Lorde swag? 😄
Bring the digger man on someday! I want to meet this famous man! 😊
I love watching you John Lord
I need the bluebird hydrangea still. 🇨🇦
Im curious if you cut all the perennials down at the end if the season and what do you do with all of it?
When you mentioned that you needed to cut back the Veronicastrum earlier, did you mean when it started growing as in a “Chelsea Chop” time?
Hihihi... I don`t have big head... either💖💝💓
I love monarda..they tend to get mildew.
I have a fire red plant....amazing colour.
Took seeds last summer but it seems to have runners everywhere.
I'm going to move some seedlings around and put some echinacea with it and achillias.
Do you have any astrantias?
Can't get them here in New Zealand.
That gunnera is going to be awesome, if the frosts leave it.
Pampas grass is all over the sides of our country roads, they move beautifully in the wind.
Gallardia or Helianthus?.....same genus?
When are you going to make an Instagram page?
Well this is certainly way of touring a garden, lol! HE'S A MADDDDD GARDENER! Lord have mercy, he's all over the place.
Thank you so much! We appreciate you and David! 😊
My Sanguisorba is now about 7 feet tall and have deep red flowers that disappear at the back of the garden. If this was chopped back early, would it have thrown larger flowers as it used to have?
Well, you got me all excited about Persicaria affinis in Florida 9a... nope. I've still got pots of it, will try it in some dry shade? Without so much rich soil? What's similar sort of, is Acalypha pendula, dwarf Chenille plant, that, despite what the 'facts' say does well here in north end of 9a, Florida, (and does better with shade). You also talked me into Grace Smoke Tree, Cotinus grace... which is doing beautifully for it's first year, and is about 10 feet tall, I keep it well watered as water really drains fast here in sandy Florida, it was about 10" tall to begin with. Really looking forward to next year with this Grace tree, for it's blooms... and also the fall color of the leaves. The jury is still out on some others you talked me into... You're a lot of fun!
P. S. -gk3ct someone's trying to scare me.
😊❤💚🙏👍
Do you have encore azelea? What are your thoughts on that?
ON that path corner where the people are walking through the garden.... Put a large decorative bolder on the edge and they will dodge it and never walk in the garden again!
Some parts of your garden are really nice, but most of it looks way too contrasty, it's like there's everything everywhere with no cohesion. There's so many tall plants it's suffocating, I think it would benefit from more changes in height, and a LOT more grasses. Like if you have a huge variety of plants but 4-5 grasses everywhere, it would help with cohesion.
John, What is the large shroud in the background where you talk about the phlox??
I would pay for the John Lord Rose Therapy class.
I would not pay for the Perennial Weed Eradication Therapy Class. It wouldn't work.
Hi there! Could you plz give name of the purple/pink flowers next to sedum at 20mins and 24seconds? Tnx!
Do you have any Yuki Cherry Blossom Deutzia’s?😊
I have that purple fantasy and I'll tell you Chelsey chop it John or its rubbish, and it wants to take over the world but it is lovely. Have you any notion of selling plants online? I don't know when I'll get a chance to visit, its a very very long drive.
We looked at selling plants on line but it’s a completely different business than retail and you need a very different set up. I’ll keep a close eye on that Persicaria
Not bothered with Japanese Beetles where you are?
Do t need the therapy, but will cut away.
Do the solar farms tick you off, there is huge debate started by an astute newly elected official, hope the truth comes out.
