The #BeastSeries Ain't Dead.. They have become Expensive and Rare! ..... It's just not a budget motor no more. K series has been takin over for the budget built as there are more available parts on the market.
We need some brackets for the driver side torque mount that can replace the bulky ac bracket but still able to use a torque mount .. and possibility a trans torque mount bracket to clean things up ⁉️..😐🙏🙏 plz
What header (exhaust manifold) is that? I have an EF8 with a B16 and finding a header with two o2 ports is a pain. Would love a series on what can be done with this engine like your other swap videos. Keep it up you’re awesome!
Since you guys are the pro. I have a stock civic ek that I want to swap a GSR motor in. I want to reuse all the stock motor mount but I’m getting mix info on what post mount to use. I have the gsr, b20 and the stock EK post mount but unsure of which one that will work. People say that I have to get the b16 post mount.
Nice! I need to figure out which brackets I need to convert my ekk1 kit to ekk2 when I swap my sub frame. Have a k20a from cl7 euro r and 6 speed mounted with ekk1 kit in my em1, oil pan clearance is a major concern right now.
If you are using the CL7 transmission you need to order all three EKK4 steel brackets. There is a different transmission mount too, unless you already have the CL7 transmission in the car.
@@VTECAcademy I already have the cl7 trans in the car as well as the matching k20a from a jdm cl7 euro r. Will I just need the correct steel brackets? It’s a weird setup from Honda… a k20a type r with rbc mated to the accord 6 speed with the type r gears and lsd. I’m local if you want to check it out and lend some advice. Car runs and drives perfect.
@@VTECAcademy so my billet mounts will still be the same and all brackets will change to ekk4… got it. Is the billet subframe mount the same between ek and eg/dc2 subframes?
Brian, B series is still cheap here in nz but its going up... if you guys ever need some b stuff let me know, i can probably find it. Personally i don't see the point in them anymore apart from maybe older 70's and 80's small hondas?
Could you do a video/writeup on using obd1 ecu with hondata as a piggyback on obdb2b car? Because of wanting to keep auto trans and daily driven while still emissions friendly
@@VTECAcademy HAmotorsports has several adapter harnesses but only for b-series auto trans, obd1 ecu and p78 tcu. Not d-series with stock obd2b ecu/tcu.
@@brendangallagher8292 It's the piggyback thing that is the issue. If you are trying to get the DLC to work so the car passes emissions as an OBD2 car should, then I have no experience with that. To have the OBD2 ECU monitor the engine with an OBD1 ECU running the engine requires modifications to the ECU that are beyond my abilities. And I don't know anyone who has done anything like it, with the exception of Hondata and their early TSX/KPro piggyback.
I'm confused. Can I use either the 3 bolt mount bracket or the 2 bolt mount bracket in a 1996- 2000 civic? I'm doing a D to B engine swap and I've heard u can only use the 2 bolt mount bracket. Is this true? I'm very confused.
It’s not that confusing.. You have two options. Use their EKLH2 (2 bolt post mount) Which is the stock d series post OR you can use EKLH3. (3 bolt post mount) which is found 94+ integras if you want to change things up. Now that’s for the driver side mount only. So if you have a civic 2 post or an integra 3 post mount use the corresponding motor mount for that. Also the rear T bracket will need to be from a 99-00 si.
With the 88-91 Civics, CRX, Hatch, Sedan, 2WD Wagon, you typically get a new block bracket with the H2B kit. On the 99 Integra use the P72 94-01 Integra style.
hey anyone in the comment section, do you think my b20v would pass emissions (with everything in place) on my '00 si and original ecu?? currently on a chipped obd1
@@VTECAcademy ok might be able to get a hold of that; and with that, i'm guessing the smog check wouldn't know if that is the exact original ecu ... so long as it's not modified i suppose
Great video! This was always something that sort of made sense but was still a bit confusing in the old forums.
Love it, I was just on the phone with you last week about this topic, thanks for all your help
Soo much knowledge!

Hasport makes that. Email brian@hasport.com for more information. Transmission side too.
We are still waiting for a Hasport kit that will mount a K20C1 in a DC2

Hello, if I may ask if you have any motor mounts for a 1993 acura integra b18 engine Manual transmission, and how much does it cost?
$422 for right, left and rear mounts. Or you can buy individual mounts by emailing Hasport.
