Thanks for the install Jamie! Brakes have been performing flawlessly and am extremely impressed with the braking power this kit has given me in comparison to the old setup. Won’t look back, that’s for sure
Another cracking video.
Always clear and informative.
Nice install👌. Great upgrade for the XR5s.
Another excellent video guys keep up the great work
15:18 Thank you for the torque specs!
The master!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Brilliant video. I’ve got some longer studs to fit on my ST225. Mine don’t have the notch on the back of the stud like those do. I guess I could grind a bit of the side.
yep just grind that notch mate only needs a few mm
Great video 👌🏽 how about fitting the calipers on a Mk2 RS? Same as the ST 225 ?
Totally different I'm afraid mate. Mk2 RS has different bolt spacing on the calliper to knuckle mounting.
What size is the spacer that you use to space the discs ?
What was the black bracket thing that you bolted in behind bearing onto the hub? Not seen that before.
Hub lock brace. The ST225/XR5 is known for the front hubs walking out of the knuckles and causing a ABS error. Volvo make a lock brace that stops the walk out and it bolts straight onto the Ford knuckle. Its show in more detail in this video:

Thanks for getting back to me. So this was a Volvo part? Do you know the part number? (Im in UK)
Understand if you don’t want to put it on here👍

So all you need to do is to drill 14mm holes to fit the brembos?
+ fit a disc spacer, longer wheel studs or bolt on spacers + a custom line
How much does this offset where the wheels bolt on? I have a set of Mk2 RS wheels which already need spacers of their own
going to add about 10mm. The spacer used behind the disc is just under 10mm
@@OEMDeniedPerformance Alright, I guess this is just not the style of brake upgrade that's going to work for me then. I saw some kits gor Mk2 RS discs with brackets for the calipers. I work in auto parts so I can get discs fine, probably calipers too but not that bracket. Whole kits are way too expensive compared to what I can get the discs and pads for..
nice video!
unfortunately brembo doesn't produce repair kits for these calipers ;/
They do, just not listed on retail catalogues which is common till the vehicles are older due to contract agreements. Trade has access to them, our local brake shop has overhauled a few sets for us in the past with new pistons and seals. (new seals required when calipers are stripped of the blue and painted in red) ACDelco also make overhaul seal kits for them which can be bought via retail.
