I've been watching Shohei since his days with the Angels and he would often pitch for the team, even if he had to push himself a little too hard. That led to injuries, so the Dodgers need to stop letting Ohtani do what the Angels did and stop him. It could ruin everything for next year.
But I'm pretty sure it's because of that garbage rotation. There was a 3 month stretch in '22 where the Angels ONLY won when Shohei pitched, madness. And last year he really wanted to get in the postseason and felt like he couldn't miss any starts to have a chance. You have two legends one that may end up as goat and Arte never got a frontline starter in those 6 years! Shohei plays every game! He cannot be your one and only good starter! Arte is just so bad
@@remywonderland7507You soeak the truth. I remember distinctly when they signed him. I knew him from playing with the Fighters. He’s a gamer. He will try to carry the whole team if he has to and Arte had no problem letting him. I wasn’t fair really. The Angels are just an awful organization. Im sure the Dodgers won’t put him in that position.
Please don't label Aaron Judge as the greatest player of all time too quickly because it would be shortsighted to overlook Shohei Ohtani, who is proving to be a force to be reckoned with. Compare Judge's first 8 years STATS with Ohtani's first 7 years STATS, and you'll see the competition is fierce. Ohtani's pitching stats alone are impressive: GP: 86, IP: 481.2, K: 608, and ERA: 3.01. Additionally, remember that Judge is 32 years old, while Ohtani, at just 30, still has time to further solidify his legacy. Check out Ohtani playing outfield, throwing out a runner at third base and also at home plate. Aaron Judge's longest ball is 495-foot and Ohtani's is 493-foot. It will be to embarrassing that a pitcher is doing at the same level.
Hell no. There's no need to go there. He's barely getting on the mound, he won't be ramped up and he'll try to overcompensate the natural lack of command with throwing harder. Why expose him to an unnecessary injury? imo the juice is not worth the squeeze
Hope they let Shohei be a closer like in the WBC, he was a stud with 100mph heaters.
Nx year

World Series Save for Shohei?! Yeah!!!!!
Could he? Maybe.
Should he? No.
Need him around for the next 10 years at least.
Exactly my thought
I would rather see Ohtani get 50 homers than take the mound, even for 1 inning this year.

Lmao I rather have him than another else. Glass and Ohtani, I don’t mind getting ohtani at 40% 😂
The only person who does know is him also depending on the situation and weather
Yes, if they want to win the W.S
If he's healthy and thinks he can, why not? Health # 1 decision maker.
He should pitch and play either center field or catcher
Ever heard of "The Goose that Laid the Golden Eggs"?
Yes
With 2 tommy john procedures a third is a strong possibility.

Maybe for 1 inning.
No
