@How to make ... Bruh

I said the same thing as I was watching... Then the "great protector' showed up with similar design... The jokes wrote themselves, LoL
Katy/Sisu is the female Liu Kang confirmed!
That’s very true!
Surprised there wasn't a scene in the past
"By the way, my dear husband, the village I come from guards a door that houses a dark creature that whispers promises of your greatest desires if you free it. So if something happens and you start hearing voices telling you to go to my village and open the door, it's definitely a giant demon dragon. So don't do that."
Yeah, you'd think that would've come up, at least in HISHE
@@InfernosReaper They would probably have do that scene in Mandarin Chinese though. We never hear Ying Li speak any word of English.

Is it because she is the voice of sisu from raya and the last dragon?

Pretty sure that Shang Chi could control the rings due to his bloodline. He only needed training from his aunt because no one else could survive his dad's attacks long enough to get the rings.
He even says "Only my mother could fight my father and live" not that "Only my mom can control the rings too"
Well, his mother survived, why not his mother's sister. And he didn't know about his aunt existed for a long time, so how could he know how many people could actually control it.
@@lone_berserker She could survive. I am just stating how the rings would not go to her. They seem to choose Shang Chi during the fight. He doesn't do any special move to get them. Instead, the rings choose him. This is likely due to his bloodline being the same as his father, but he is the better fighter or simply more pure-of-heart. The reason is not stated in the movie, but Shang Chi never trains with his aunt to get the rings. He trains with her to better combat his father. Oh, and the aunt is much older than the mom was at that time. So that could prove an issue
The rings are older than any bloodline on Earth. Anyone can use the rings, people in control of their chi are just more capable with them.
@@barryallen871 I know that. But they still clearly prefer Shang Chi's bloodline. Since no one else is seen using them and nobody else was able to take the rings from his father
Any one can use the rings it is not activated by bloodline it is just been in possession by Shang chis father for a long time thats why no one seems to use it.
No joke.
I watched this today and as soon as Wong succeeded I caught myself saying 'Yes, Wong!'
I think I unintentionally did that when I watched the movie as well.
Damn right
Everytime Wong is on screen, I always yell out "Wong!"

Wong needs his own Disney plus series. I’d definitely watch that

@@tyrellturner5602 yes! iirc Thor was crashing in Daryl's house when Civil War was happening. He wasn't invited in Civil War and Banner didn't want to join so, Thor just decided to hang out with Daryl
I love how this whole video was just making me realize how much we just assume since someone is the protagonist that they’re the worthy one or most capable one. When sometimes, they just aren’t.
Basically what happens in The Falcon and Winter Soldier. Bucky and Sam pout like children after Walker saves them, and they do nothing but throw shade at Walker the entire time he's Captain America. Yet the show wants make the argument Sam's the best person when he beats up a grieving person who just lost his best friend, breaks his arm and takes the shield because he feels entitled too. Lemar would probably still be alive if they just worked with Walker in the first place...but sadly Walker is the one who overlooks them being dicks and chooses to save people over getting revenege against Karlie...but he's somehow the lesser person? pfft. The show undercuts it's own argument as I felt better about Sam taking the shield before the show than after.
Lastjustice Think you missed a lot of points there. "Beats up a grieving person" Did you forget he asked for the shield back and with reason considering Walker just killed a guy with a shield in front of people. Did you also forget that bucky and Falcon did let him help at the last episode showing they do see how good walker can be if pushed in the right direction. Plus they did work with Walker, they had the agreement to give Sam a way to talk it out peacefully but Walker wanted to brute force it showing his instability and lack of proper thinking. Why waste spilling blood if you can avoid all that by just simply speaking which Sam was nearly successful with till Walker disregarded that it could have worked and went ahead to try and apprehend the troubled and also grieving super powered teen by the way.
@@Lastjustice How to say "I didn't watch the show" in a single youtube comment.
@@Lastjustice same goes for captain america. Don't really think he is worthy.
yeah, I found it really jarring throughout the whole film that Shang Chi was being pushed as the protagonist...when in every way his sister was the one who should have been the protagonist. Her story arc and background were so much better than Shang Chis, every fight scene she was better than Shang Chi, she's shown as being more knowledgeable of certain aspects of the world and has been fighting to survive much longer, she was pushed in every way as the protagonist, but for some reason we were following Shang Chi? and then right at the end he was the only one who could go up against his father...but it really should have been her? I was so confused, felt like someone wanted more girl power in the movie and then accidentally made her WAY better than the protagonist, but then had to shoot her down a bit at the end to justify the film being about him.
I love how Batman went outside just so he could bang on the window, lol

its a reference to The Batman trailer where he asks Riddler "what have you done".

Thanks for mentioning Katie's ability to become a master archer after a day orf training. As an archer I found that hilarious. Also, I love how you incorporated references to the Batman trailer.
Loved how they basically call her a Mary Sue, really loved that last ending.
I think she knew archery beforehand idk, bc her Asian parents probably made her learn it but she never took it srsly
I know I felt that with the archery too. Especially because it can take some serious muscle to draw back a bow powerful enough to reach the battle from the ground.

Can’t go wrong with more Wong.
Despite its flaws and awkward pacing, I enjoyed it. My main issue is the "secret society/organization that controls world events" trope. There are so many....HYDRA, Red Room, Ten Rings, even good ones like the wizards in Dr Strange, Eternals, Ta Lo, Dora Milaje, etc.
That’s what happens when you keep writing in stuff that your fictional universe wasn’t made to accommodate in the first place. It’s basically narrative spaghetti code
@@rifroll1117 Marvel's good at expanding a cinematic universe without disturbing continuity, but it's at risk of becoming repetitive. Would've been better if they branched off into smaller universes outside the MCU. Deadpool, X men and Fantastic Four wouldn't fit in this universe
@@Sthuthukile m8 continuity is one of the biggest issues in the MCU in the past 5 years. Important details get lost over the years in the minds of the audience but if you binge all the movies in like 1-2 weeks you’ll notice that a LOT of things don’t carry over or get resolved. Still the MCU was enjoyable enough for most people to ignore these problems but post-Endgame the lack of continuity is glaringly obvious.
The MCU was made to lead up to Endgame, and any illusion of continuity has expired by now. Now Disney is basically playing Tetris but they’re trying to change the blocks at the bottom to fit in the new stuff they wanna add
@@Sthuthukile with that said, I certainly agree that they should do alternate universe stuff to tell more stories like the X-men etc. Continuity might be more of a restriction to the kind of stories they wanna sell now

If "The Lego Batman Movie" can include "Because I'm Batman," I don't see why not.
"These rings give Eternal Life"
So, he can feed on you eternally
It takes the soul. It doesn't drain your life force there is a difference.
Edit: I shouldn't have said life force. What I meant was a person's biological physical body.
@@theinsurance2450 they're are the same, can't have one without the other. There is life in both "Life force" and "Eternal life"
@@osbaldocruz4735 life force is another way saying soul. Eternal life just means prolonging life. The rings are not magic. It an Advanced alien form of science. Unlike the dragon from another universe which uses magic. Since the rings use science it goes by laws of physics. It gives energy to cells to stop the aging process therefore giving eternal life. The soul is something else entirely. It is not cells or something biological or physical. It is something spiritual. The rings can't help the soul being taken away.

The funny thing is, even had the Soul Eater broken out I doubt I could have done much damage to the actual world. This is very much a mystic threat and Strange would probably deal with it quickly
The thing about a soul eater, is its exactly as big a threat as you need it to be. Interesting spin on regular vampires for your low level street heroes to vanquish? Sure! Scary looking threat to make someone seem on par with the big leagues! okey doke. Team up threat that needs everyone to take it down because its amassed so much power, sure thing!

@@garethhughes7430 But captain marvel 😑
Well, if you didn't know, the Dweller in Darkness is actually a Doctor Strange villain from the comics!
@@garethhughes7430 exactly! I see it as a Cell like menace. His power (pre android absorption) relies heavely on how much he feeds on energy.
If he would just have fed on the Great Protector maybe he could have gone onto bigger meals like super powered beings.
Shang's aunt being a greedy villain and claiming the rings for herself would have been an amazing twist
No it would'nt
How about the whole magical place were the bad guy and his wife actually in that place🤔
in place of a dark dude you would have a queen
Well, she is Emperor Georgiou.
I thought the plot twist gonna be that she is the real villain, she was jeolous of her sister and manipulated villages to not accept her sister and her husband. And at the end of the movie their father was gonna be right all along, she was still alive behind the curtain and they r gnna defeat her sister together or smt. But instead we got CGI dragons fighting.. felt like a kids movie at the end. Only good thing was ShangChi's father acting, he completely set the tone of the movie.
Can't wait until the Eternals HISHE. I hope you'll portray Makkari's sign language in animated form.
Probably not
i hope so too xD
My dad is deaf so I would love to se that in hishe xD
I thought Eternals was honestly an ok / decent film.
@@anonymousproductionsxd2912 just saw it today, like 3 hours ago! I think weren’t genuine with their ‘diversity’, or at least they didn’t handle it well, took away a lot for me. The story was good, but a little boring at times, I had a hard time keeping attention.
By the way, I think the rings only give the eternal life buff of agelessness, but no healing factor, impenetrable skin, ect. Otherwise we wouldn’t have seen him using the rings to make a shield at the very beginning of the movie; he could just rank the arrows easily
But like, isn't soul the life part? Wouldn't it make sense making the soul unable to leave the body since that's basically what natural death is (assuming you believe souls exist of course)?

I think the eternal life thing was more like the way it works for Elves in Lord of the Rings. He can be killed, he just doesn’t age.
Definitely should have used the rings on the Dweller himself though.
It's more like the drain wouldn't steal his lifeforce because he has unlimited life. Some people say it drains soul, but soul = lifeforce.

OMG that ending scene! So true! She just shot an arrow one time and got lucky! There's NO WAY Wong would bring her to the inner sanctum and invite her to the avengers! LOL!
Wong wasn't inviting her to the Avengers, he was inviting Shang-Chi, but he probably knows Katy is his girlfriend/sidekick and that they're a package deal.
If she traveled halfway across the world with him to face a secret society of trained killers, I think it's clear that she has to go wherever he goes regardless of logic. Seriously, normally when unpowered civilian friends get involved in these movies, it's because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time, not because they deliberately chose to travel thousands of miles into danger despite lacking any combat skills whatsoever. The fact that she went to China at all seemed more like immersion-breaking "because the plot says so" than anything organic.
The thing is, this issue could have been resolved by one or two lines establishing that she does archery for a hobby and has won a bunch of competitions or has literally any other skill that would be potentially useful in this scenario.
I really was like "Bruh, just dodge the arrow"
@@erickpoorbaugh6728 lmao comic book worlds are filled with weird and determined people and your problem with her is with that? By that logic Ned and MJ from spiderman should be cutting ties with Peter themselves. It's just nitpicking for things that aren't even important.
I was pissed about that bow shot to the Dweller's throat too. Part of me tried to justify it by assuming that the arrow had a Protector scale in it too. Maybe because the arrow has magic properties and came from the Protector it was drawn by the will to keep the latter safe or something. Even then that's lame because it would mean LIERALLY ANYONE using those weapons coulda stopped the Dweller.
Anyone could use the weapons🤣, it was more about Katy having the will and courage to believe in herself, committing to something and following through 😏
@@darrenkey207 yes, thank you!

I wonder why they didn't make a HISHE for What If...?
Cause What If...? is technically the MCU HISHE
So... they should make a "what if" of What If...? Thats just the normal movie
How HISHE should have ended?
What if the if was another if?
Nono it's because it's a TV series it takes a lot of time. And it's why they don't have Mando S.2.
I would have thought it would just be a Super Cafe short like what they did with Loki. But I guess they couldn't think of anything?
The fact that Shang chi's sister is almost as skilled as him without even sparing once during her training feels like a big plot convenience
She's not as skilled as him if shang chi wanted her dead he'd do it plus she had six years to spar after she escaped
Well even without sparring she was a skilled fighter because she observed the techniques and demonstrated it by herself for her whole life. After she escaped she probably fought against people and got better over time
I give it a pass, since folks like Taskmaster exist (probably).
She is a girl, girls don't need this whole training things, they are born perfect (in movies).

Fun fact: The Mandarin in the comics (and in various animated TV shows) wears 10 alien rings on his fingers. In this film, the rings were revised to be Hung Gar iron rings worn on the forearms (5 on each arm). This change was made to incorporate Chinese culture, and because cosmic jewelry had already been done with Thanos the Titan in the form of the Infinity Stones and Infinity Gauntlet.
God damn it wasn't even 5 minutes😂
Let's be real it was mostly about china 🤣

I'm suprised that HISHE didn't have Wong step into battle (again) and mirror dimension the soulsteller or something like that 😁 Since these guys love him 😊 (Can't blame them, I love Wong too)
I wanted Legolas to show up, shoot Dweller-In-Darkness right in the weak spot with an arrow, and say “I got him!” Then when the other characters are like “Who are you?” He’d say “I’m not even supposed to be in this movie!”

@@Dr._Atom The original version (from the Hobbit Hishe) had a character say “But what……….how did?” Then Legolas said “I dunno. I’m not even supposed to be in this movie” but that probably wouldn’t work in the context of Shang-Chi, so I took slight creative liberty

The “lion bear sabertooths” (as I call them) were soooo adorable!!
They're called Shishi, but I don't think they're ever referred to by that name in dialogue. I had to dig into the MCU Wiki to find the name. If you're wondering, Trevor Slattery's pal Morris is a Dijiang.
I think writers got confused between eternal life and invincibility.....The rings made him not age. Not make him invincible.....

When you think about it, the only purpose Aquafina had in this movie was being Shang-Chi’s support character.
I'd argue she's a Jimmity Cricket kind of character. Kinda the character who pushing Shawn to do the thing he needs or supposed to do. Someone to direct his path since people aren't capable of figuring everything out on their own.
@@Hadeks_Marow ironically while her whole schtick was not knowing what to do herself. she really was just there for the whole ride for her friend cuz she had nothing better to do.
she was a great stand in for the audience tho
@@whatiswhat8061 can’t argue there
She had a nice mini character arc that was done fairly well in my opinion. Katy was great support for Shang chi, and god knows he needed it. She makes his light hearted personality believable. For a kid who went through that hellish childhood, he really needed a close friend who would teach him how to have a "normal" life. I don't think Shang Chi's character could work without a friend like Katy. He'd probably be really jaded and a completely different person overall. Really love how this film turned the "useless comedic relief side character" into someone who's arguably essential to the plot.
@@whatiswhat8061 I think you fail to understand how writing works. A "character of influence" doesn't need to tell the person they are influencing what to do or even know what to do themselves in order for the person they influence to figure it out/come to a conclusion and make a specific decision BECAUSE of them. It was BECAUSE she was so helpless that forced him to be better. Think of it like reverse psychology. Her guidance is unintentional and at times accidental but she does serve a purpose of direction none the less of forcing him to rise to the occasion at times. Her role was to guide him by showing him what the grounded alternative is.
An "ok" example of this is Rafiki from lion king with the scene "my work here is done" where he says nothing and timon was able to figure out on his own but only because he had someone to talk to and feel it out with.
3:23 The plot thickens

Trevor Slattery : "And you'll never see

The Mandarin ( Wenwu ) : "Be careful how you speak to me, Boy."

It was cool watching Shang-Chi be a background character in his own movie. Should have been called "Aquafina and Shang-Chi's Sister and the Legend of the 10 Bracelets".
I’m glad Aquafina didn’t get to shine on here. She was horrible in the movie!!
This was funny and a good one!
I kept telling all my friends this.
If we change the title to "Wen-Wu: Legend of the 10 Rings", it would immediately make the movie significantly better by focusing on the real main character.
Who is Fu Manchu, anyway. Like, does he even matter? Why should we even have his rings? Like, does that even matter? Why is Shang-Chi considered the best fighter in all of the Marvel Universe? Bruh, like does that even matter?
Disney execs wanna know?

Also, we gotta totally waste a chance to utilize Fin Fang Foom in favor of an Abomination cameo that makes no sense considering he was actively murdered a bunch of soldiers in Harlem. "
@@retroboomer3197 What are you on about? Aquafina was a secondary character (who got to after only one day of training unrealistically throw an arrow at the creature, I'll give you that), and Shang-chi sister character could've been erased of the story and it wouldn't have change anything. Hardly protagonists.
I can see how difficult it was to find the HISHE moments in the movie. The Batman part was hilarious and Wong as well.
You can't wear the rings if he didn’t give it to you. You can redirect their energy, but they'll always try to return to him, it's why they're were so unstable when shang and his mother was using them
Wenwu: okay, to get to Ta Lo we have to travel through a maze of moving trees using this specific route at this specific time.
Random science guy: Oooooor you can just use one of your helicopters and fly above the forest.
People of Ta Lo: We're in trouble.
LMAO
Ta Lo is in different dimension
But you just need to get to the portal at the end of the moving maze, right?
Portal probably doesn't open unless you've travelled through the forest to get there, or something.
He's a bright idea. Why don't we fly and drop down at the entrance to Ta Lo
4:00 I legit thought Legolas was going to show up and say the same thing he did in the Hobbit "I don't know. I'm not even supposed to be in this story."

0:37 KUNG FU PANDA REFERENCE!
TBH, I thought it was going to end with Wenwu getting therapy and being a better dad to his kids but this is still funny.
Joker much
There was no where in the movie that indicated he was a bad dad until after the mom died but even then he wasnt abusive, we never see him force shang chi either
I didn't like the idea of putting Wenwu as a villain. As the comments above me said he was not a bad dad. Maybe not the greatest dad, but he genuinely showing his love towards his family. All he wanted was to rescue his wife (sadly it's only an illusion).
Katy(Awkwafina)Sisu(Last Dragon)being "With her people" reference was the BEST!!
The funniest part of this episode had to be either when Xu Wenwu realized the rings granted him eternal life or when Batman realized there was a question mark in his coffee. But are we sure Superman did that?
Eternal life isn't complete immortality not aging doesn't mean you cannot be killed and the monsters pulled out people's souls. There is no reason the rings would protect him which kind of ruined that moment for me as it wasn't a legit plot hole
didn't superman admit he did that, but batman was already busy with his overdramatic blame-game?
@@Konani_the_unicorn_queen I misspelled it, but it doesn't matter. It was still funny.

I loved that Katy/Sisu joke so much LOL
Katie and Shang both admit it was a LUCKY shot, the only thing they did to show her skill was hitting one stationary bullseye which could either be a lucky shot or that she has a natural aptitude to archery that she needs to nurture.
Pointing out their own lazy writing is still lazy writing
There is a word for that. It’s called lamp shading
Bruh Katie already has better driving skills than most people on the planet and you can't accept that she can shoot an arrow using magical weapons?
glad some people still have common sense for story. this is how shang chi should have written
A lot of things could have been resolved much faster in this movie if someone just had a gun.
Seriously, we have a supposedly highly advanced secret organization that decide to whack people with electric glow sticks. They even bring a minigun to the final fight scene and they never use it.
Correction, I looked up the scene again. It wasn't a mini-gun, but it does look like some kind of gun attached to the top of a Humvee, which traditionally is a mini-gun. However, they bring their glow sticks and electric crossbows to the fight but not a regular machine gun which would have done much more damage.
Bullets wouldn't have damaged the monster
