  • This is the fifth installment of my first impression series on the S-4 Sculpting Sampler by Torso Electronics. In this video, I pair the S-4 with the Typhon, an analog monosynth by Dreadbox. I start with a simple loop, and take it from there. Enjoy!
Recorded and lightly mastered in ProTools.

Nice vid! My question is what preset(s) you used on the Typhon. Stock ones or some of your own?

    Is that background crackle clipping?

There shouldn’t be, except for the parts where I use the bitcrusher (Crush).

@@abregegere its weird, it's around the 1 minute to 1 minute 30 mark. Anyhoo, not important...this was really great and also hugely informative to watch. Really enjoyed what you created!

no "crackle" at your time stamp dude, maybe artifacts introduced by your equipment not coping with those particular harmonics ?

@@teanfoylat yeah that's weird, got it on two different monitor sets (work edit suite and home). Cheers for that, gonna have my ears on swivels now to work out what the hell that was!

@@Farold_HaltermeyerI actually hear the crackle around 1:30. Not sure what it is (not from the original sound. It’s either from UA-cam processing, or from my video editing software (I am using Wondershare Filmora and I have had some weird audio issues occasionally). Sorry about that, and glad you still enjoyed the video :)
