Since open beta I already sense there's so many interesting synergies of druid between aspects and the skillset. Your video widened my interest of so many build options we can use for druid. Great video. Easy sub
I'm going through the build calcs and data mining and druids are going to be straight monsters when geared. Don't fret too hard. There's stealth for Werewolves, crazy DR for bears, and massive burst damage on earth and storm skills.
Ight dude...ONE: great video it is really giving more confidence in going with druid despite what people have been saying. TWO: near end of video about natures fury...how it reads will 100% be this...If you use a core earth skill it will have a chance to proc a core storm skill, because it's in the same category. Noticed you said you werent sure so thought id help since you helped out tons of druids out there already. Happy grinding and hope to see ya out there on launch.
In regards to infinite critstacking: It's only because you can reach a very long duration on the buff (through druid 's "Calamity" boon) that this might be "OP" in the endgame. The barbarian has a funny interaction with furyspending + stacking damagebuff on wrath of the berserker (when fully upgraded) which also seems to have no limit apart from the duration of the "wrath of the berserker" ultimate itself (which seems to be set in stone at 10 seconds though the berserking effect itself can be extended in many ways) and the fact that the fury needs to be generated in order to be spent... however the barb does have one coreskill capable of generating its own fury when hitting stunned targets (even with the "unbridled rage" keypassive if enough +resource generation% is active). It will be fun to see where this leads, I hope its every bit as nasty as we imagine and that the higher worldtiers and endgame content provides us with appropriate targets for the immense crunchfactor we will be bringing =) Edit: I suppose another way druid could be OP is if you can recast the "grizzly rage" while keeping the buff stacked if you get your cooldown lower than the duration (I kindof think it will reset on recast but only one way to find out I suppose).
kind of surprised druid only has 3 skills that do lightning damage, and as far as I've seen only other ways to get lightning damage are aspects and a couple passives. Cant wait to see all the Nature's Fury builds come together
5:40 From playing beta, aoe skills don’t necessarily crit every enemy from one cast. Some might get crit and some won’t unless your skill has guaranteed crits. Is it 100% certain that an aspect that turns Earth skills into Werebear skills as well also gives them the shapeshift tag? The data mined aspect doesn’t say that, also if skills become storm or earth, that doesn’t mean they also become nature Magic tag as well. The Trample aspect vs Pulverize aspect wording are very clear with the skill tags that are acquired
Yea, I have the same feeling. Gear that adds a Werewolf or Werebear tag doesn't have any reason to add a Shapeshift tag if it's a skill that doesn't actually shapeshift. Though it does get a little bit hinky when you have items that make werebear or werewolf the *base* character form, and human form becomes the shapeshift. It's still not explicitly stated that nature tags turn into shapeshift tags or vice versa, so I wouldn't expect it. It's just interesting to contemplate.
im going crit shred werewolf 100%, my first ever character/main in diablo 2 (which was the one i got the most into) was a fury werewolf druid, gave me massive nostalgia vibes while playing it in the betas and im glad to see its pretty damn good. Kinda sad that the werewolf ultimate wasnt that great though, hope it gets better with a close to/full build
I'd say the main concern here is going to be your survivability, but yeah, I agree I found werewolf a lot of fun, I just don't think the lego's are as good as the bear ones sadly, they needed to give us more support with shred.
I’m surprised there doesn’t seem to be much love in these guides for the Lupine Ferocity capstone. Basically an auto crit on one of your hits every second shred, with 60% extra damage. Sounds good to me
Did you had a chance to see Trampled Earth effect? It cover all the screen with lines of Landslides. CRAZY! It will definitely proc a lot Eathen Might's effect. One Trample == crit+spirit all the time.
Aspect of Nature's Savagery with Nature's Fury, can have some cool combos, for example, triggering Grizzly Rage can have 20% chance to trigger Lacerate. I have to agree that Druid can be most versatile of the classes but not the most exciting one to play through, most of the druid builds that could dominate need more unique items than rest of the classes.
I have a Druid build I enjoyed during the server slam it was fun to play and did decent damage 3 Ashava wins included, is it best to build on this and add points to the chosen skills or advance down the skill tree?
I think the best thing you can do in diablo 4 is playing a build that feels good to you. If someone says something else is better and you don't like playing it, I would avoid that. As long as you're completing the content and you're enjoying it, I'd say stick to the build you had.
@@carthh_ so is it better to beef up my choices or go down the skill tree for additional passives etc …. I like the idea of maxing my present choices but scared I miss out on passives etc that could improve
6:25 "There is ways to convert your earth skills to werebear skills ... which would then give it the shapeshifting tag". Is that proven or an assumption of yours only? For "Werebear"/"Werewolf" and "Shapeshifting" are different tags. As are "Earth"/"Storm" and "Nature Magic". And nothing indicates, that all these tags would be granted (neither does the wording incline a "conversion" but rather an addition). E.g. - Ursine Horror: "Pulverize is now *also an* Earth Skill. After casting Pulverize, tectonic spikes continue to deal [X] damage over 2 seconds." Reads like the Earth tag is added, not necessarily the Nature Magic one, though. That differentiation is also concise, since passive capstones like Earthen Might and Nature's Fury proc off "Earth [and Storm] Skills", not Nature Magic. Several passives (Defiance, Resonance, Circle of Life) require - as per their wording at least - a Nature Magic tag. - Nature's Savagery: "Werewolf Skills function as Storm Skills and Werebear Skills function as Earth Skills for the Nature's Fury Key Passive." Again, the reference is just made to the capstones with the exact same tag, Earth or Storm. - Most telling: Trampled Eearth: "Trample now summons 6 Landslide pillars of earth during its duration that deal [70 - 80%] normal damage. Trample is now *also a* Nature Magic *and* Earth Skill." If this aspect transfers both tags specifically, it stands to reason that inheriting only Earth/Storm does not automatically also inherit Nature Magic. Some of your synergies might hence not come to fruition.
There seems to be an interaction/symbiosis between Werwolf and Lightning… add specing into poison damage which werewolf skills do and you’ve got a powerhouse mobile monster. Also, how about using waxing Gibbons for crits? Does crone staff benefit from spirit generation from Storm strike and Claw? (Again, there’s that symbiosis as with the wolf companions) fair to say, Druid is going to get mental later on
Yes the Crone staff is really cool! We've been discussing some builds with it and the way it works is it uses both Stormstrike and Claw and you get spirit from both of them. Claw also has a node for 10% chance to attack again giving you spirit as well. Waxing Gibbous seems super cool for ww builds, the only thing I'm unsure of is how often you will get kills later in the game. If it is similar to diablo 3, monsters got very tanky. But if the playstyle is more like poe, on kill effects will be incredibly strong
So can you pretty much swap any category of skill for a different one (say lightning to werewolf) or were there specific ones you could do? And was this through aspects? Sorry if you covered this already.
Yup Earth and Bear are together and Storm and Werewolf are together. The one exception to this rule is an aspect that makes your Debilitating Roar into a werewolf skill
Quick question to everyone here as I don’t know the other classes well at all, is Druid the only class which has poison damage? If so, that’s amazing when it comes to bosses as CC doesn’t work on them (till they’re downed of course) but poison does which comes with huge amounts of damage buffs and mitigation. Curious if this is unique to a Druid or if other classes have a similar mechanic as well
Necro has access to an aspect that can give 120% crit damage on corpse tendril cooldown, (9 secs and rank 5). Against a single target i doubt that druid aspect will get much more if at all more than that. And its on an ultimate cooldown. The necro aspect doesnt need to ramp up to 120 either its a flat bonus.
Just an FYI, that necro aspect's base is only 60% crit dmg, so it's required to be put on a 2h weapon to get the 120% bonus. Not every build will be using a 2h weapon. Druid has 3 similar aspects (one is up to 90% crit dmg w/ no cooldown), so they do have some options when coming up with their crit dmg builds.
@@SolineusPrime yeah no doubt, but the necro aspect would only ever be used on a 2 handed weapon, if you are building a crit build why wouldnt it. I was just pointing out I don't think the druid aspect is so outrageous that it would defo be nerfed.
Kind of unfortunate I agree. Seems like you have to make the trade off of a very slow early game for a crazy good late game. I guess it's just a different flavor of class
I don’t mind the slow start, we only really do questing and some farming which we can easily handle, we will be ready for the meat of this game… the end game. Hang in there enjoy the passage
As of now from what we’ve seen, even if it ain’t much, Druid gotta put in double the work to do the same as other classes, it’s class quest (animal boons) are based on lucky hit which is a really bad mechanic and the boons themselves are FAR from being impressive or game changer, let alone really useful. The only way it surpasses or comes close to the others is if their class specific legendary powers are THAT good, otherwise, meh. I absolutely love the concept of the class but it sure is a bad start for it, fortunately it’s a live service so things can change fast and drastically. Things changing is pretty much the only hope of the class right now.

These are just the obvious basics, he didn't even really go anywhere interesting with this as too much is still unknown. Druid is the hardest class to speculate endgame builds with imo because they have more complex synergy systems such as coupling both earth and storm magic, both wolf and bear, and aspects that blend them together as he mentioned. The other classes don't put this kind of emphasis on dual class builds like they do here with the druid and I'd wager they will naturally further progress this very specific build mechanic they created with energizing aspects and unique items that remain yet to be discovered. They aren't going to remove it. Edit: Thanks for the video man, You are the first I've seen that's planning on focusing the druid. I like that.
