Huge mistake with AH. I WOULD LOVE TO TRADE, BUT GOING OUT OF GAME, especially on Xbox and go in your phone or tablet to some trade websites just sucks.
100% Either support trade in a robust way in game, or get rid of it. Certainly at least do not balance around an experience that is found off your platform.
@@zarombiste9158 I hate having to refer to outside resources while playing. I would love a copy paste link in guides to use in game like they do in hearthstone.
Hey, what I've always said. But gotten flamed so hard in the past for this belief. AH is good, just not RMAH. RMAH is bad. Normal AH is good. Hate when trading is super cumbersome. In these games I want to play mostly, and spend less time doing the boring stuff like trading.
Rax and DM YES!! Chase items that are hard to get but they are things that last forever, unlike mythics that just last the season. Love DM idea of the miniture boss pets and things like that.
What DM said struck a chord. I love and hate the Spiritborn, love that it feels and plays so well, hate that it is leaps and bounds better than the other classes..
have not played spiritborn because its style is not appealing to me, i only like to play a class where i feel like i can identify myself with it to some extent.
@@RickieJr No its not. Take away the bugs and the class still feels good to use. Granted this makes sense since it is the latest class. The reason why the Rogue also feels the best out of the Vanilla classes is because it was made last.
I agree there needs to be chase items but I don't like is finally getting that 3 or 4 GA item and the damn affix is min roll. That happened to me today and it felt really awful.
@PainIsBetterThanHate they do not. I can prove it if you don't believe it. I still have the item. The only gear that drops with perfect rolls are mythics
I despise the fact that all through D4 and D3 (on higher difficulty) you are either 100% HP, or 0% and dead. There is no tension, no dance, just spamming your skill-rotation and the occasional random one-shot death.
this is so true, which forces players to play just abit lower than really hard content, to stop one shots and maximize drops faster. which leads to a game that has no challenge. why cant more arpgs have actual mechanics even outside of boss fights. i want to be needing to move out of stuff, needing to stun x mob before he does a super strong attack , you know to actually feel like im having to pay attention. this is one of the few games you can just afk farm for the most part and have no issue doing so
@@ronuss The stuff you mention is why I enjoyed the Dark Citadel when I did. You couldn't just blast the bosses and had to solve the puzzles (albeit pretty basic) to beat the death timer. And while you could argue the death timer is a one shot, it could also be argued the death timer is just a slow DoT spell the zone activates when you start the encoutner.
This sums up my main complaint too. It's why Titan Quest and Grim Dawn were and still are so good. Hopefully PoE 2 keeps the pacing and doesn't go all zoomy like the first game.
Still so confused for no in-game auction house but websites work in place. That's dumb. Blizz loves relying on third-party. It really breaks immersion.
Agreed completely. In PoE you wanna know what we do when we want to sell something? Put in a tab labeled 10c, 25c, 50c, 1d, etc and go back to mapping. When I want something I go to the official trade site(which still isn't the greatest, would rather it not be a website but it is what it is)
Bro talking about immersion in Diablo 4 is probably the funniest thing I’ve read all day 😂 yea I’m so immersed in my fixed Birds Eye’s view camera casting spells 5 times a second and blinking across the screen. Get real bro lol.
First few days playing expansion, i felt like a student again, studying how to use restoration scroll (didnt realize if masterworked items, cant use the scroll, it has to be tempered only, jeez!) Then googling on how to get tributes… but hey its kinda fun to finally get it. I create party all the time now, not less than 1 minutes other players join me. Undercity is the best.. target farm specific hundreds of times now… Feeling good. Thanks Raxxx ❤ you
First of all amazing podcast guys! What Modz said, I am one of the solo players and I'd love to do the Raids, but if they could have a solo experience where your build is good enough to kill the bosses and do a variation of solo mechanics like they have on Destiny's Dungeons ( They are like mini raids that can be done solo or up to 3 players ) that would be ideal. I've still not spoiled my self on what the mechanics and bosses are so I have that to look forward to, but I also now feel extra let down that the reward structure is not even up to snuff on there. I did like the idea that Modz also said that maybe as a solo player we can have a loot multiplayer so we don't feel like we are just wasting mats when doing boss rotations. I often invite people for free boss runs as I feel like I am wasting the mats if I just kill the bosses by myself. Diablo 4 has improved at lot since launch and I am excited to see where it is going. We still just lack a lot of endgame and that really kills the game. I'm gonna try and push for Paragon 300, but just hoping I can get there before POE2 comes out LOL Great discussion guys! Keep up the amazing work!
Hey Raxx it's great that gambling worked out so well for you early game. I spent probably 7-8k in obols leveling and trying to gear and didn't get a single unique item for my build. I got all my build uniques from bosses.
Recommended changes (Bugfixes not included): - Make scrolls of restoration (retempering scrolls) infinite use and remove the 1-per-item limit. - Make quad GA items have a min-roll threshold for aspects. - Ancestral aspects minimum roll is always better than non-ancestral max roll. - Stack together rewards from IH chests & Whisper caches to avoid lengthy collections. - Improve mythic drop rates for bosses at Torment 4 - Improve Dark Citadel Cosmetic Rewards - Better support for solo boss runs (re summoning cost) Systematic (large-scale) suggestions: - Auction House / In-game marketplace - Roguelite integration (new seasonal mechanic or spanning full season) - Material vendor (trade in excess materials) - Loot Filter - Armory - Overhaul paragon legendary effects
@ancientrunekrp6895 That would be insanely cool! I think that would only really come alongside a full class balancing overhaul since the other classes have a much more interesting range of core skills than SB does - and with that comes the chance of breaking the game (stability wise mainly, but also balance wise). They'd talked a little in the podcast about Blizzard being more ambitious with skill tags and this definitely falls into that category.
@@Danny-zw7sw i am running a blood surge necro, and have hit 101, hard...but did it. my clan leader is a quill spirit, and ran me through pit 150, in 1.75 minutes end boss died as i blinked
@@jasonzimmer7714 yeah I’ve done 150 with quill spirit and the 2 other classes I play and struggling for 100, arguably they have better gear too, 4GA winter glass and fists of fate etc but power level sucks.
Why don't you try Witch summoner in PoE2 after 3 weeks? I can guarantee that it will be 10 times more fun and complex for you to play than D4 summoner on start!
So one thing I think would help in a huge way with items is that when you get a GA item, but a crap stat GA, let me enchant that affix at occultist and let me keep the GA on diff affix. I would actually get a usefull item, it becomes acc boud anyway so I cant trade it. It's a meaningfull upgrade for me, and it would actually also drive the exorbitant prices of items on market down . Because not everybody has 15b for a gloves lying around. Thumb up if you like the idea
Actually, I'd like them to have a decent loot filter that we can apply to our pets. One that'll auto pickup everything dropped (equipment, runes, gold, mats).. then we can set it to either auto break down for mats or auto sell everything upon a dungeon/horde completion. Make it somewhat complex so we could target save 2-4 GA ancestorials/mythics later on. Also a "sell all" button in the vendors would be nice too.. Spending less time teleporting back to towns to sell or break stuff down makes for more productive farming.
why can't we have Bash Barb. Lighting Spear Sorc, and Spirit borne all in one season... Why must they pick winners and losers every season...Aside from scaling other great leveling builds for endgame, keep those old builds viable as well, you can never have enough choice for builds, but it seems they just want everyone playing the same exact build every season.
The goal of the game should be to keep good builds good, and raise up all other builds with continual balance patches and seasons. Provide aspects of flare and fun to existing known good builds without making them too powerful. It's a hard ask.
@@evg3nius That's by design. They want people to be overpowered to encourage them to go try the "new thing" - D3 Crusader on release was pushing the highest level rifts 150+, Necromancer on release in D3 was super overpowered pushing rifts 200+, Demonhunter in Hearthstone was mega OP on release, Demonhunter in WoW was mega OP, Monk in WoW was mega OP, new Dark Iron Dwarves racial was super OP, dracthyr new race racial was super OP and of course Spiritborne was MEGA op. This is all by design.
thing is, there will always be a best class. which is ok as long as other classes can be playable and compete somewhat for kill. but spiritborn literally does 1000x and more damage than any other class. there are videos of spiritborn doing over 10 quadrillion damage. no lightning sorc or barb or any other class has even gotten remotely close to that. No class in any game, ever (as far as i know) has ever hit numbers like that.
@@MasterJohnamGod don’t remind me of Demon Hunter in Hearthstone. Was able to hit legend rank with Midrange Demon Hunter. Even all of the basic class cards were pretty good. I won 18 consecutive games with that deck, it felt so dirty. Hand of Guldan was so busted, I remember thinking “who the fk looked at this s*it and thought it would be ok?”
Raxx's description of killing the T4 beast in the ice reminds me of playing the beta and trying to kill the world boss before time runs out. It was difficult because we were seriously under leveled, but it was really fun for me.
I am loving the DOT build from DonTheCrown. I hope we can push this beyond where it is sometime. Watching a wave of enemies die to your poison aura is super satisfying. It has a cap of 100ish currently. I hope that D4 finds a way to elevate other builds/classes to similar levels. I am not upset with the occasional meta shift per season, but the other classes really need an adjustment in the expansions ahead. They have place the classes in quite the competition pickle.
Yeah ngl going back to the other classes and especially druid which is my main is going to be tough 💀Also Spirtborn right now feels like how Death Knight were when first released in WOTLK being extremely overpowered and being a "hero" class. I remember Crusader and Necro being super strong in D3 on release but not this insane.
The pit, NMD, and Undercity are basically the same thing (run through a dungeon) with minor nuances. The only difference is the result items provided. It is removes the complexity and makes the end game very repetitive. This season lacks the dopamine provided on previous seasons, getting gear is a massive chore. Even if you find your ideal piece, the dopamine doesn't even hit since you have to still get past the temper and masterworking hurdles ahead of you that erodes any possible excitement. The lack of dopamine is also tied the new aspect system, where you can grind for hours and only improved on irrelevant aspect that you don't even use. Add how some Rune seem to not drop either, it just makes the players that chasing the string at the end of the stick (yes, not even a carrot attached to chase) and makes it very unsatisfying.
As a ex WOW player of 20 years i have been completely burned out on blizzard style multiplayer content. I have no issues with raids being in the game and im glad those that have played them enjoy them. However D4 seems to be leaning harder and harder towards multiplayer content and the discrepancy between solo farming vs 4 player farming does feel pretty bad. I hope the D4 team boost the solo content to be as good as the raids, without changing or watering down the raids for those who enjoy them. if they lean towards raids being the best content as the expense of solo content (which is my fear) ill have to find another ARPG to play and POE 2 is right around the corner. Also Cali is Best girl.
Wanted to make another character and noticed I just wasn't having fun. Spiritborn makes the other classes feel unfinished. Time to make another Grim Dawn run.
I love the more active gameplay of spiritborn. It feels so good to smash all the mobs, and the gameplay is really fluid. I’ve not had a similar experience with any other class besides sorceress. Also gotten further than any other season, so super hyped about how it currently works.
My (current) list of things I would like to see change (in no particular order) 1. Ability to replace health potion with resource potion 2. Hearts to summon helltide boss need to be buffed, nerfd too hard 3. More skills 5. More gem types, chance to freeze, critical strike chance, etc. 6. Make it so basic elixers can be enchanted with another item to become the same type of elixer but it becomes Advanced 7. Auction house (NO RMT) 8. Loot filter 9. Class balance 10. Armory (Loadouts) 11. More end game bosses 12. Special solo dungeons with solo player mechanics (Similar to new raid but for solo play only) 13. Make Legion events fun 14. Mounts needs more sprints (even 1 more would be nice) 15. Fix tempering and masterworking systems 16. Armor sets (full set grants some kind of bonus, should not exclude uniques and mythics from sets, so maybe 3 pieces max to a set) 17. More rune types and combinations 18. Make boss mechanics more noticeable (color changes, boss shouts before attack, etc.) 19. More ways to get cosmetics FOR FREE 20. Depending on how many GAs a unique item has should determine how high the main affix stat is)
i kinda dislike 20, All items are already worthless when 'GA's exist, seeing as you can equip one in every slot (Unlike Primals in D3), its the same as ancient items in d3 "If not ancient/GA, delete it".
@@hiddenxalpha7053 I've seen D3 videos but never played it. Diablo 4 is my first diablo game so I apologize for my lack of knowledge on the subject. Let me propose this then: if 1 GA, you have X percent chance to roll a higher main affix percentage. The percentage increases per GA to possibly roll with even higher main affix percentage. Would that be more feasible or is that not good either? Thank you for your reply by the way, I'm trying to compile this list in hopes people see it, interact with it, and help me make changes to it to where I can one day present them to someone that may have a say in implementing these changes. Edit/addition: what if we create a 3rd "tempering/masterwork" systems where you can upgrade the main affix on uniques?
@@dolo2233I agree with the idea that if you were to get a 3 GA Ancestral legendary that the ability affix roll should not be able to roll any less than 75-80 percent of max. If not than at least on unique items, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten a 2-3 GA unique and had to scrap it because the ability is dogs*it.
I think this is true for most classes, but sorc suffers more than others for sure. Both rings are basically the same on every build and you spam the same defensive skills on every build since they also grant the best generic damage increases and you have no way of defensive/offensive scaling aside from them:/. They all play almost identical
Spiritborn is fun but not sure why they nuked the other classes before the season started if this is how they knew this class was going to come in. Bugs or not its skill tree and class uniques clear other classes. Sorcs cant have to many lightning spears or Druids cant have to many lightning storms but Spiritborn can have 5000%CSD, insta cooldowns, max attack speed, giga damage reduction, no resource problem, perma unstoppable. Nice balancing. Solve 1 problem to create another. Season 7 of classes reborn!
i think that is blizzards plan. fuck up everything so they don't actually have to be creative for a season theme. they just fix shit (if actually) and call it "season of barb fixes" etc.
the bugs literally 100x their damage compared to what it should do. They could have buffed all the other chacaters and it would not have made a different on the perception of the Spiritborn in its current state.
This is gonna be a hot take but I disagree with Rax and Wudi complaining about having to do Duriel so many times. The casual dads will barely even get 5 kills in, and last season we didn't have mats to kill them at all. We finally got that and now the complaint is "well now I'm just killing him too much"? You can't have your cake and eat it, too.
What if there was a rotating “hells chosen” mechanic where 2 or maybe 3 times a week a different ladder boss get buffed to be stronger and the chances for mythic uniques and greater affix increase to be durial level or possibly higher. That makes it so that your not always just killing durial but your also sometimes killing grigore or the vampire boss for the mythic uniques and stuff
Boss mats from the titan tribute is my favorite part of undercity. Blasting it for a few hours Granted me enough mats to do boss rotas for the rest of the day
I don't mind having the pit be more skill based or even more difficult, but I think the max glyph level should be lowered so that your character's power isn't softcapped by a single mechanic that many classes can't get to max even multiple weeks into a season.
Yeah. I wish mythic unique would be able to be acquired through multiple means. Maybe a little higher drop as well. This is coming from a casual player. And it is very discouraging spending the little time I can give to the game not to be able to complete me build.
I would love to see the towns get taken over in events and even have them fall to the fallen or whichever enemy. Then you could donate blue or yellow items to the local militia, who are fighting the hordes back and once enough items have been donated, the town returns to normal and is once again accessible.
I think Season 7 really needs to focus entirely on balancing. The game has so much potential in that every class has loads of skills and options that you COULD in theory base a full build around if the numbers were tweaked in a way that helped them scale better. I find it crazy how many 'potential' builds there are but like 80% of them are D/F-tier purely due to their output. It feels like a lot of skills, even full classes are getting left in the dust in the wake of something new and shiny - and I get that with the seasonal model there's always going to be some of that in play, but I don't want to feel so limited in buildcraft every season to the point where there's a 100[X] gap (or more) betweeen S+ and A/B-tier builds, and even within A/B-tier there are maybe 2-3 options per class when there could easily be 10+.
There was also some discussion in the video about people relying less on online guides and "learning the game" which in theory is an amazing sentiment - but in the current state of the game where the top builds are so far above anything else AND rely on multiple bugs to perform the way they do, no average player is going to take the time to rigourously test every skill and aspect to compare damage numbers and assess what actually works as intended, and what doesn't. That's the biggest reason that guides online are so widely relied upon and useful - half of it is literally QA work.
When they started to talk about the " Rogue like " modes i remembered the game that's gonna be out on the 30th called THE BAZAAR , from Reynad and Tempo. That game gonna be loved by a lot of people cause theres that feeling into it. Diablo needs that into their game in a ARPG style.
I hope someone at Blizzard is listening to this podcast. Most of the topics and feedback discussed are what any player in their right mind would agree on.
@@cptmittelstrahlGear rolls on affixes don’t affect the difficulty that much. Most players who don’t play 10 hrs a day or pay real money to get specific gear will never even see 3-4 GA mythic/ ancestral uniques. So when I do get lucky enough to get a 2 GA unique I’d like not to play this bulls*it slot machine and have to throw it away simply because the ability roll was terrible. I despise mechanics that are purely in the game to waste my time. I realize ARPG’s are just kind of like that, but I’d rather the game itself be harder than my gear acquisition be gatekept by terrible rng mechanics. I absolutely hate the change to the legendary aspects, they made it far too difficult to fill out your codex.
The dude is all over the comments lol. I solo self found from scratch and had a great time. I have absolutely no idea what the guy is on about flaming everyone like it is him against the world🤣
The one thing I would change about D4 at this stage is itemization...again! All the fun just sums up there. Make itemization worth hunting for. Not just looking for star items with a slight more power on them. Make itemization interesting just like Diablo 2 and Poe 1+2.
Make bosses harder but PLEASE do not make it harder to summon all us people that have jobs and life’s DO NOT WANT to farm more of these mats. I want the bosses to be way harder in a sense of MECHANICS NOT DMG STACKING DEBUFFS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! If you make them harder make them have WAY higher chance of getting the best of the best like ancestral GA minimum one GA
I agree with you Rax about them adding more systems. I think the reason why the systems have been well received is because they are simple. Poe's systems require you to watch like 15 different videos to understand. Especially if you want to learn to craft items. But Diablo's have been easy to understand and still add a layer to the game. I like that.
Thank you for addressing the cosmetics in the Dark Citadel! Not only are the cosmetics just decent and nothing special but I have done HUNDREDS of runs and only have 2 pieces of the greater set. People have said it takes about 1000 full runs or 3700 runs of running the quickest wing to get them its just abysmal.
Goated podcast!!! I have been saying for months that they should Copy/Paste Survivors Bane (rogue light mode) from Immortal! Im so happy these guys finally brought it up and agree!!! Lets gooooo 🤞🏼
If they don’t want an auction house, fine. But at a bare MINIMUM, they need to have a POE 1 system with the ability to list your items on an official Blizzard website (Viewable in game or out) which allows you to message the seller directly and get invited to their game to make the trade. Bare minimum.
Just have to chalk it up to bad luck. I've had one drop so far after all the grinding. My wife has had 4 and one was a 2 GA tyraels from obol gambling. Talk about in your face. First I got mad, then I said congrats honey.
200 lmao... Bro I have no lie close to 1k boss kills just on T4 alone all with my mats haven't gotten 1 to drop yet the 2 friends running with me got 3 and 2 to drop for them in the same day smh... I'm everyone else's good luck charm lol... Rng for me this season sucks. But this season is also garbage af IMO so I blame that 😂😂.
I played the new expac for 3 days. Got the spiritborn to max, got the build, cleared a 100 pit and i uninstalled. Things like that just ruin the whole progresion, fun and point of the game. Playing anything else in grp for example gets you kicked out etc. it beyond bad tbh
Having a maxed out build is great. It should take a relatively substantial amount of time, but not an entire season. This is coming from a casual player, of course. Once I reach max, I feel like I’m done, but I also feel like I’m done after 5 days, 3 to 4 hours a day trying to get literally one item. There needs to be a balance there. What would personally feel great, imo, is if there was something else to grind, instead of items and materials. I want a relic or something that I can upgrade, or craft inscriptions or something to put into this relic that’ll either make me stronger, or further change up our builds. I also want the gems from Season 1 back, and I want more of them. They should not be socketed into gear. Give us something else to grind for, fit this grind into already existing content, so we’re not juggling 30 different activities, and make it specific to Torment 1-4.
The game is NOT complex. It has end game activities that all feel pretty similar and each thing gives you something specific. It’s pretty simple. PoE is complex because crafting your build is complex. Numbers are crazy, the passive tree is crazy, the items are very very unique, skill gems and links are super important and change builds so much, etc. Diablo 4 is, get these items, put points here, your build works and done. How do you get these items? Go do literally every end game activity and you’re good. You can easily figure out what gives what.
was the other way around fo me. playing d4 is already very easy but with the spiritborn it's like d4 is being dumbed down for disabled toddlers. no fun at all for me atleast
@@cptmittelstrahlI'm guilty of taking the easy way out. Don't have as much time as I used to so I just wanted to be able to kill bosses in T4....now that I can and got a taste of everything except the raid I'll prob go back to my summoner and have some real challenge
For ancestrals, maybe they should let you combine two of them. Take the GA stats of one and combine with another that has a perfect mod roll. Boom, perfect item!
Make unique affix the same as legendaries. You have to destroy a better one to upgrade a different one. Also. They could do a special Hordes even where an actual boss spawns. Then the next round 2 bosses spawn. So by round 10 you might have to fight the butcher, duriel, blood bishop, etc. all at the same time. But give a massive loot table for these
I'm a Barbarian player. Even in this expansion. I can say when it started and I was hung up on the Spirit Born. But once I just pretended that class doesn't exist i have been having a great time. I am using a rupture/leap build that auto resets Call of the Ancients. I cleared pit88. I have call of the ancients down to a 6 second cooldown before bleed resets. At one point i had 11 calls running at the same time. I agree every class, Barb in particular is very undertuned compared to spirit born. However i have 3 barbs leveled just playing around with fun builds I've never seen before. I don't know, even as a Barb i like this season.
About spiritborn...one thing no one is talking about is the visual FX ... you almost feel (and it almost looks like) you are playing a class in lost ark with some of the visuals how you leap to a target, a flaming hunter flies around, or the eagle stuff...really cool. About Marketplace, agree it needs to come 100%. Last Epoch launched with it where D4 and POE(after 10+ years) did not. Huge success. The fact that its not on blizzards radar speaks volumes. Blizzard: This is one thing that we want. Along with leaderboards. Hear us. About Dark Citadel... Yes people in ARPGS dont really want to group up but as long as the rewards remain cosmetic, I dont feel raid anxiety or FOMO the same way I did with Lost Ark raids. Additionally, having the cosmetic rewards being a bit rare and takes time makes me feel better that I did it only a few times and got nothing. Even these streamers that play the game for a job dont have everything, yet I have some small chance at accumulating it all in one or two runs if Im lucky. And really it doesnt matter! Agree with Raxxx, disappointed with the visuals in the cosmetics. About The Pit and Raxx's comment about "it should be a bit of a grind to get to Pit 80". I think it is. Non-spiritborn... Not that Im struggling but Its a slog. I cleared 65 on my dance of knives rogue, Im some-what farming it but I dont think I can go much higher not without some better luck with GA drops and some good crits on the GA affixes. Hitting a bit of a wall and thinking of calling a day on the character and build (only because theres more I want to get to before I burn out on D4 this season). With that, I dropped into a T4 lillith and T4 boss ladder, and cleared it with some ease surprisingly. Thought I'd have difficulty with Lillith on a non-spiritborn character but I didnt. And TBH it was more enjoyable than completing it on my spiritborn. Lastly... I find it hilarious that Modz responded to Raxxx about LostArk Chaos dungeons as being homework (I remember this from my time playing lost ark...) as if the term and the meaning was "ugh I gotta do this". Baffling to me... because ALL RAIDS in lost ark are referred to as homework and that is 150% the entire focus of the dev team. Pump out more raids to keep people happy. Thats what the people "Want". Yet, they are referred to as hoemwork. And its a negative connotation. Sorry, side rant... I played lost for for about a year, almost 2k hours and I couldnt stand the raids. Yes, enjoyable to a degree and the most difficult group content in an MMO Ive ever experienced but the entire game is built around these things, concievably because thats what the playerbase wants and they are referred to as homework. Homework fun but thats what the devs over at lost ark continue to focus on. If we dont like Homework and Raids are homework then WHY DO YOU WANT MORE OF IT?! Unbelievable. Its why I dont play anymore, not because of chaos dungeons :( /rant
I disagree with Raxx on mythic Runes. We already have too many Mythic uniques in Builds. With Mythic runes you have either everybody whining that they are too rare and they didn't drop or they are so powerful that only these will be used. I think runes should not be plus damage or plus toughness, instead they should only be more towards defining builds or making new builds possible. So much more of the idea behind normal uniques.
I am not a "baster", but neither a "casual". So far completed every season journey and was never affected by any of the exploits in the wild, or at least I was not aware that I'm being affected. Where I'm going with this - announcing the bans would attract much unneeded attention, gaming news sites would cite the numbers in their titles, youtube thumbnails with "thousands of diablo cheaters banned" etc. it really would paint a much more dire picture than it is in reality.
Paragonboard is a good idea, for much more options to play every build what i want and that help me and not + dmg pr + heal, let me choice what i want for my build.i hope for this
27:26 It would be great if, like the codex of power, you can basically sacrifice a unique item to keep its roll on the effect to then place on a better unique later. like make a new merchant. then when you go to them with a quad greater affix on the KEKW staff with minimum roll, then combine it. it doesn't keep any of the stat rolls. just the unique power roll. So you can get hyped when you find a max roll unique, then when you eventually find a beautiful tri or quad roll, then you can throw the max roll on it and thrive.
I believe about the balancing and bug fixing to "save" the season, the real fix for this season alone would be: - Solve the bugs, fix all the bugs on Spiritborn and other stuff - Buff everyone in a % dmg aura of 10000x or 50000x, whatever spiritborn does of dmg, FOR THIS SEASON ALONE. - Next season, start without bugs, etc.
It would be great to be able to craft higher tier infernal hordes with higher wave cap up to 20 and the option (bargain or tribute) to have the mobs drop extra items (materials, bossmats, gold or tokens) where tokens can be traded for specific max aspects at one of the "seasoned themed vendors". Since its just no fun going into a 6 or 8 wave infernal horde and before things get interesting the fun is allready over...
They should make all the other classes as polished as spiritborn not in the next expansion but next season, I don’t think people should wait a year to see that happening, hopefully we get it
Pretty much if next season is anything like this season I'm done with D4... I only like play minion necro and don't wanna be punished for not playing the broken new class.
I haven’t tried spiritborn yet and probably won’t, chose a rogue to play first may regret it but it’s fun so far. However, I have probably some of the best gear in the game and the ceiling of my class is clearly visible, and I really can’t get much better save finding some aspects. Whereas the entire game seems to be immediately accessible to the spiritborn it has been a learning experience to get through all of the torments for sure.
I was one of those spiritborn haters after not really jiving with the gorilla build but after I lost my 250 Boulder Druid due to an isp issue on hc. I respecced my spiritborn into a quill volley build and it has been a blast. The class is just better designed in a lot of ways than the og ones. The skills interact far more meaningful with each other, although Druid has some good synergies but the barb for example is just a mess.
I really hope they're still considering the leaderboard for pit pushes and speedruns. Ofc itd be slightly problematic with the current balance of spiritborn and the changes to pit, but I think they could still add it instead of the hc players using externap sites
My take on loot as a slightly more than casual solo (mostly) player. Bossing: Duriel/Andariel shouldn't be the most efficient loot for everything. Have specific loot drops for each boss. Give other options to get loot as efficiently. Kurast Undercity: The timer is too easy. It needs to be reduced to make it sweaty. Otherwise, the timer is useless. In general, the rewards are underwhelming, even to just doing helltides. Bargains are even less useful, and sometime they don't even work (like dropping 1-3 more items and only 1 item total drops) The dark citadel is fun for a few times, but the rewards are so mimimal for all the time spent doing the 3 wings. As a solo player, the group finder needs work. Most of the time, when I attempt to join a group, there is no response, or the group is full. If a group is full, it still shows open when you hit refresh. It just takes a really long time to get into the DC as a solo player, and that is not a good feeling. It would be better to join a queue and just get put together randomly based on difficulty tier and search parameters. As soon as 4 ppl qualify, you're in the citidel together, and you can only kick someone via reporting for bad behavior. (False reporting should result in a ban.)
Spent quite some time with Spiritborn (P253 I think) and love it, but agree with everything you guys said. Meanwhile, I'm now on my barb alt playing Mighty Throw and its fun as hell.
Mythics felt much better to get Pre-dlc. Having the seasonal quest be repeatable for sparks to craft (without all this rune nonsense) made me play the game a LOT more. I'm not farming Duriel 500x anymore, if I don't get my mythics I'd rather quit than grind "infinitely" for rune drops or have to trade.
Runes not hard to get doe 😂 or ubers. Ive gotten 7 drops and have crafted 2. Makin a barb this weekend that runs 4ubers just to chase them. Ubers were 2easy 2get. This way better
@@AndJusticeforAll567 it’s really not that bad man I’m 25-50 hours in this season and have 4 mythics and sparks to craft 2 more. Do whispers and if you get the tribute of ascendancy which gives you a super high chance for an uber
@@chaddrusso8850I’ve done 3/4 Ascendancy tributes and not a single mythic. I should mention I’m not rota farming yet… I’m just saying I miss the intentional grind path towards getting one. Last season, you didn’t HAVE to rota farm or rely on rng. They put a way for you to earn a mythic just through raw playtime and leveling up different characters. This was also much more fun, as I got to try other classes, and was motivated with a good reward at the end.
Love this cast. I think Blizzard realizes how lucky they are to have streamers that care so much about the game's success, but if not, Blizzard LISTEN to these guys..they are passionate and they know what we want !! Some topics : I like the idea of runes, but I feel like the reason you don't notice them is how passive they are. I think they tried to get the opposite with the offering system, but because I'm just spamming my skills anyway, I don't see the end result. In D2, Beast let you choose when you wanted to become a bear. It wasn't just something that happened while all the other action is going on. They let you place the other classes' abilities on your skill bar and that's the part that felt cool. Agree that we need more things to chase. We need more rarity. The runes actually kinda help in solo, because you have to hope the right one drops and then you can try and upgrade the minor ones and hope they roll to the one you want. Agree that the legendary nodes don't feel as impactful as I'd want. Might just be me, but at paragon 230 and ancestral items are still SO RARE. Especially greater affixes. It's good, it helps with the chase. Maybe just luck, but i've found more mythic items than **+ greater affixes.
also, rax has always been a fan of all classes, but all he does as others do is do builds for spiritborn. last one did 1 trillion damage, next build, 1 quadrillion damage. game is broken
If no one is interested in watching builds for other classes why would he make them? He's a streamer and makes a living from his UA-cam channel. He needs to make content which will get at least some views.
@@artemkoropotkin3047 i agree with you, he streams for views which is all good. my point is spirit born is all anyone cares about, because its so broken. Not about rax, about how broken spirit born is and how it has in my opinion, and many many others, destroyed this season. and turned into into a meaningless waste of time, that's all
@@artemkoropotkin3047 if he pushed the limits on other classes plenty of people would watch those videos not everyone dick rides meta builds cause they are OP especially when the seasons so long it gets boring .
I wish someone would've mentioned what a pain leveling 1-60 was. It was fine this season because we had the expansion and there were some new stuff but making alts and future seasons will be painful unless they open up the pit and hordes to all levels. Locking that is so bad for single players even if you're strong enough to fight on penitent everything is still locked and all you have is helltide which is just boring at this point. Other than that I think you guys made some great points so thank you.
45:00 I think the number of stars on an ancestral should have increased chance depending on the tier you are playing. So a 4 star ancestral in torment 1 would be a godly drop but to find it in tier 4 is still rare, but not unheard of or anything. 2 and 3 stars more common in torment 4. If you made it to Tormet 4 your gear is p[robably already decent. You are looking at attacking the most difficult stuff.
I really want them to turn that one legion event that is like a race to fill the soul spheres into an actual race event. They could also just do kill events where two players or two teams compete to see who can clear a room first.
Let us use mats of some sort to upgrade either the Codex or Unique powers? As a failsafe against really bad luck so you can passively acquire upgrades much like Masterworking.
So idk if this is old news… but you can start a ravenous soulspire when a Helltide is about to end… and then the soulspire never ends. Infinite xp glitch?
Huge mistake with AH. I WOULD LOVE TO TRADE, BUT GOING OUT OF GAME, especially on Xbox and go in your phone or tablet to some trade websites just sucks.

There have been classes not worth playing every season. At least more than one build is fun.

It's only cause of the bugs...
@@RickieJr No its not. Take away the bugs and the class still feels good to use. Granted this makes sense since it is the latest class. The reason why the Rogue also feels the best out of the Vanilla classes is because it was made last.

And while you could argue the death timer is a one shot, it could also be argued the death timer is just a slow DoT spell the zone activates when you start the encoutner.
just uninstalled for that reason. horrible game design through and through, slogging through millions of samey items doesn`t help either.

Have you ever played D3 ? Then you would know why there is NO auction house.
Thanks Raxxx ❤ you
I have used the restoration scrolls on masterworked gear.
When you play it, all enemies and bosses get one shot by spiritborns, even in T4. Just wait for S7 if you want a true raid experience.
when i unlocked them i saw it was co-op and didnt even bother.
Hey Raxx it's great that gambling worked out so well for you early game. I spent probably 7-8k in obols leveling and trying to gear and didn't get a single unique item for my build. I got all my build uniques from bosses.
Recommended changes (Bugfixes not included):
- Make scrolls of restoration (retempering scrolls) infinite use and remove the 1-per-item limit.
- Make quad GA items have a min-roll threshold for aspects.
- Ancestral aspects minimum roll is always better than non-ancestral max roll.
- Stack together rewards from IH chests & Whisper caches to avoid lengthy collections.
- Improve mythic drop rates for bosses at Torment 4
- Improve Dark Citadel Cosmetic Rewards
- Better support for solo boss runs (re summoning cost)
Systematic (large-scale) suggestions:
- Auction House / In-game marketplace
- Roguelite integration (new seasonal mechanic or spanning full season)
- Material vendor (trade in excess materials)
- Loot Filter
- Armory
- Overhaul paragon legendary effects
id add turn Rod of Kepeleke usable by all classes or turn it into an aspect
@ancientrunekrp6895 That would be insanely cool! I think that would only really come alongside a full class balancing overhaul since the other classes have a much more interesting range of core skills than SB does - and with that comes the chance of breaking the game (stability wise mainly, but also balance wise). They'd talked a little in the podcast about Blizzard being more ambitious with skill tags and this definitely falls into that category.

100% UP!!
why can't we have Bash Barb.
Spiritborn didnt go through PTR. If other classes weren't on PTR they all would be doing quadrillions of damage. We've seen all the PTR clips.

Been messing with druid this season and it's been pretty awesome tbh
Same with demon hunter in wow.
What???DK was nowhere as nearly overpowered wtf are you talking about...
My (current) list of things I would like to see change (in no particular order)
1. Ability to replace health potion with resource potion
2. Hearts to summon helltide boss need to be buffed, nerfd too hard
3. More skills
5. More gem types, chance to freeze, critical strike chance, etc.
6. Make it so basic elixers can be enchanted with another item to become the same type of elixer but it becomes Advanced
7. Auction house (NO RMT)
8. Loot filter
9. Class balance
10. Armory (Loadouts)
11. More end game bosses
12. Special solo dungeons with solo player mechanics (Similar to new raid but for solo play only)
13. Make Legion events fun
14. Mounts needs more sprints (even 1 more would be nice)
15. Fix tempering and masterworking systems
16. Armor sets (full set grants some kind of bonus, should not exclude uniques and mythics from sets, so maybe 3 pieces max to a set)
17. More rune types and combinations
18. Make boss mechanics more noticeable (color changes, boss shouts before attack, etc.)
19. More ways to get cosmetics FOR FREE
The problem existed before spiritborn. Has there ever been a sorc build that didn't include Tal Ras?
This pod is actual 800% value! Love it ty!
Duude I love this, my 4 favorite Diablo streamers!
DM is a pedo..
What if there was a rotating “hells chosen” mechanic where 2 or maybe 3 times a week a different ladder boss get buffed to be stronger and the chances for mythic uniques and greater affix increase to be durial level or possibly higher. That makes it so that your not always just killing durial but your also sometimes killing grigore or the vampire boss for the mythic uniques and stuff
theres something with raxx's camera that made me think he had full back of hand tattoos for a minute at the start of the video lol
Boss mats from the titan tribute is my favorite part of undercity. Blasting it for a few hours Granted me enough mats to do boss rotas for the rest of the day

Naw making the ubers more costly to summon is dumb. They need another way to access the loot. Put it in undercity.

I don't mind having the pit be more skill based or even more difficult, but I think the max glyph level should be lowered so that your character's power isn't softcapped by a single mechanic that many classes can't get to max even multiple weeks into a season.
Raxx directing about Blizzard banning people towards Wudi is just gold. Ahhhh a hidden gem
Raxx when you spoke about the gambling it is better now! I gambled for gloves and got an Andariels Visage. So big fan personally of gambling for gear.
When they started to talk about the " Rogue like " modes i remembered the game that's gonna be out on the 30th called THE BAZAAR , from Reynad and Tempo. That game gonna be loved by a lot of people cause theres that feeling into it. Diablo needs that into their game in a ARPG style.

@@cptmittelstrahl "don't play if you don't like" is toddler level response, so it would match your speed at least.
I want this season end because I want to play other classes but it feels so bad when spirit born is so OP
I agree with you Rax about them adding more systems. I think the reason why the systems have been well received is because they are simple. Poe's systems require you to watch like 15 different videos to understand. Especially if you want to learn to craft items. But Diablo's have been easy to understand and still add a layer to the game. I like that.
10/10 intros, i l love you all 😂 Agree with everything, i wish they would make helltides not reset your cinders. Thats why i avoid them.
My luck has been awful for mythic unique. Over 200 boss kills t4 and not one has dropped. It was so bad I quit my char to play spiritborn.
That’s insane man in like 50-80 boss runs with randoms all of us got 1-2 mythics a piece
They have a pity system sorta tho with the runes you get
I played the new expac for 3 days.
Don't ban people, just force them on a non-unequipable mount called the mule of shame that is 20% slower and everyone can tell
I'm so glad I played my minion summoner first, once you play spiritbored you can't really go back to the other class
was the other way around fo me. playing d4 is already very easy but with the spiritborn it's like d4 is being dumbed down for disabled toddlers. no fun at all for me atleast
@@cptmittelstrahlI'm guilty of taking the easy way out. Don't have as much time as I used to so I just wanted to be able to kill bosses in T4....now that I can and got a taste of everything except the raid I'll prob go back to my summoner and have some real challenge
I do like the Minipet Idea of DM
For ancestrals, maybe they should let you combine two of them. Take the GA stats of one and combine with another that has a perfect mod roll. Boom, perfect item!
Legions giving hundreds of rawhide in previous seasons was actually a bug that got fixed. It was never supposed to give so many.
Great podcast!!
I believe about the balancing and bug fixing to "save" the season, the real fix for this season alone would be:
- Solve the bugs, fix all the bugs on Spiritborn and other stuff
- Buff everyone in a % dmg aura of 10000x or 50000x, whatever spiritborn does of dmg, FOR THIS SEASON ALONE.
They should make all the other classes as polished as spiritborn not in the next expansion but next season, I don’t think people should wait a year to see that happening, hopefully we get it
Dont be silly the devs arnt smart enough to do that
Pretty much if next season is anything like this season I'm done with D4... I only like play minion necro and don't wanna be punished for not playing the broken new class.
Every class if min maxed should be able to have one build atleast that clears the hardest content.
@@subzero308that’s a you problem. Nobody is going to miss you leaving Diablo 4. Still 2 and a half million others playing. Go cry in the corner
The skills interact far more meaningful with each other, although Druid has some good synergies but the barb for example is just a mess.
idk for me personally i think im done buying shit from this game the pace at which we get quality content is just non existent 😭
Great discussion!!
Bargains are even less useful, and sometime they don't even work (like dropping 1-3 more items and only 1 item total drops)
The dark citadel is fun for a few times, but the rewards are so mimimal for all the time spent doing the 3 wings.
Endless dungeon? Look up lufia 2 rise of the sinistrals endless dungeon concept. That would be so cool
Spent quite some time with Spiritborn (P253 I think) and love it, but agree with everything you guys said.
Meanwhile, I'm now on my barb alt playing Mighty Throw and its fun as hell.
Theory crafting spiritborn feels like crafting an MTG deck! Nice
I don’t mind adding epic chase cosmetics in the hardest content, but I don’t wanna be forced to play a bugged build to achieve this.
Do whispers and if you get the tribute of ascendancy which gives you a super high chance for an uber
just remove boss farming tbh and fix droprates for everywhere. most boring and rewarding part of the game
@@AndJusticeforAll567it's not a rare item if you get a charity mythic. That was lame. Just play eternal if you don't actually like playing the game
The passive bonus on uniques could get higher when masterworking if it's not at max.
also, rax has always been a fan of all classes, but all he does as others do is do builds for spiritborn. last one did 1 trillion damage, next build, 1 quadrillion damage. game is broken
If no one is interested in watching builds for other classes why would he make them? He's a streamer and makes a living from his UA-cam channel. He needs to make content which will get at least some views.
I’m going rogue soon (and probably other classes)
I have ask this few times in chat during lives..
Every time he calls the spiritborn weapon the rod of kekw I giggle
