yes wisteria is hard to kill......though it looked like an interesting bonsai before you tore into it, now I cant wait to see it next time.

I liked the way it was but there was to much rotting wood that I thought I better slow it down. I really didn't think I'd need to remove so much wood. It will be interesting to see how it recovers. Thanks for watching!

HOLY CHRISTMAS!! Yup, that’s drastic! I have to say that I’ll miss the old fat honker (it’s been my main wisteria inspirado), but already you can see two really gnarly literatish boys coming in hot. I love it. I assume you’ll separate them one day?
Also what’s the condition you mention, something as a result of your water pH? I know I have very hard water here in this shithole suburb but I’ve never tested it. My trees aren’t doing great, so on top of the neglect from me, I may start blaming the water for their failure if the tests come out shitty. Good to see you bro, cheers!

If when I re-pot in the spring they show me that they’re two separate trees then I’ll trust them.
My well water is around 8 on the pH scale. High pH ties up the iron availability and can lead to iron chlorosis, an iron deficiency. I’m using an acidifier with iron in my water can to help lower the pH. Last fall I planted several of my bald cypress trees in the ground to help them grow. This year they are so yellow because of the deficiency. I am slowly getting them back to a green color by correcting in the pH in the soil.
You will have a land grant university office near you- look for the University of Massachusetts at Amherst Extension Office.. They can help you test your soil and water.

I think you’re right- and I wouldn’t be mad as long as they’re alive! Thanks for your viewing support!
