Customers have spoken. Vmoda just slashed the price to 170. Even at that, for no anc or earphone jack is going to be a pass. These will eventually go on sale for 80 bucks
I wish there were more reviews on this. How does the bass compare to other headphones in the price range; are they as impactful as say the Sennheiser momentum or Sony’s? Great review thanks.
Not quite sure why Vmoda is going in this direction especially with an on ear headphone. I get that the sound quality must be great. But the competition just offers more for less. Before with the M100’s there appeal to me is build quality, portability and sound. But over the last few years to me they have been behind technology wise against the other audio brands and like you said it was a bold move for them to charge $400.
what happened to the previous vmoda xs "mind the gap" motto... this stick out quite a biton the head. not slimming on the head at all. the ditched the m80 and xs it seems
Now that you can get them for $109 CAD ($80 USD), would you recommend them? I'm a bit scared tho about accidentally put speaker mode when I don't want.
Companies making headphones will increase there price like apple sony and consumer still buys even though price increases. So in a few years there new model price will increase again to see if the consumer buys it keeps going. I think these are crazy for the price no 3.5mm over ear is better and low battery life and no case!
These have dropped to $100 usd. At that price I’m considering these or a used set of crossfade wireless 2s for around the same price. If anyone has some advise it would be greatly appreciated!
Every feature you mentioned was just a no for me. I've never understood paying more for less. I would be better off snagging any of the Sonys especially on the 2nd hand market where you can grab them for a steal. These are more a fashion statement than anything and I don't much care for fashion.
Yeah this is an odd move for VModa. The headphones before this are built like a damn tank with great audio quality, especially for stuff like dj-ing. For heavy handed people like me they're a godsend. This feels like they're trying to stick to that but also not at the same time
i have 6 V-Modas. theyre all good but these S80s are awful. too pricey and uninspiring. Not very well thought out. I would not waste my money on these. But i like Gamesky.s review though. Great presenter . keep up the good work! . i always watch his videos. informative and entertaining
“Awful” as you’ve actually listen to them and the depart from the earlier V-Moda range? I too have been listening to V-Moda since the M-80/M-100 days, and still have their CFWs, CFW2, M100 Master, earbuds, etc. and am curious if these have more the Roland sound or the Kolton sound.
@@AnakChan I've been buying their products since before the original Crossfade (I had so many of their earbuds and when I saw they had started selling over ear I purchased them right away) and there's been a huge drop in quality since Roland took over. The 200 ANC were just okay and the Hexamove Pro were a waste of money, I've barely used them since they're terrible for conversations and only average for music. The last really good product I got from them was the Remix speaker, I actually have two of those and they're great. Now that the S-80 have dropped in price I was considering giving V-Moda another shot and came looking for reviews but this is pretty much the only one. If there's an additional price drop I'll roll the dice.
The old M80's and M100's were good for the time (10 years ago)? I had a pair of there 1st gen BT, just rubbish. I won't be buying Vmoda again, they've gone way off track in recent times.
the thing though headphones can't realy be behind "the times" a good par of headphones made in the 80s build and tuned well can put preform most headphones even today. now if your talking about features that is a different story
@@kninzotagoni3635 agreed. The M100's are not timeless, they're a modern popular item that will be lost between the long term gems and the modern open back / bluetooth / planar options.
Anyone remember that scene from meet the spartans movie when the guy conveniently finds a subway sandwich on the floor? "NO MAYO!? This is shit" (Throws sandwich to the ground) . That's what i think of these headphones NO 3.5mm Jack? (Tosses them in the bin) 🗑
An interesting set of cans for sure! Dope video bro!
$390.....
Ummm vmoda......
Inflation isn't that high
And you removed the case???
lower that price ASAP
Happy Holiday Gamesky! Thanks for the review!

Thanks…I enjoyed your review: interesting headphones. Blessings on your day.

Interesting design from V-Moda as expected, but definitely not worth $400 without ANC, case, and speaker is a gimmick.

My gut feeling this is Roland branching out V-Moda from the Val Kolton house sound & design.

What are your thoughts if they were brand new for $100? I just want something I can use everyday nice and lightweight
Do it the promotion are so cool

where is sennheiser momentum true wireless 3???? 😐😐🤔🤔
Hey do you have any recommendations on earbuds/headphones that can replace my airpods pro?
Soundcore Liberty pro 3
Nope! Thanks for the video! I have the V-Moda Crossfade 2 codex and they are great for the price. But $400 for these without an input jack or case!?!
Get the crossfade 3 wireless

ANC does fuck all for on ear headphones..
That's a fair point
