Botox for Bells Palsy! I had Bells Palsy 3/2017 and was unfortunately left with right facial paralysis and synkinesis. I couldn’t manipulate food properly on the right side of my mouth. My eye would wink when I chewed food and I lost my beautiful smile. I spent $1000 for acupuncture with little improvement. 11/2018 I began to see a facial paralysis team ENT & OT at U of M. Facial stretches, exercises & Botox have improved my facial expressions to the point where most people don’t notice the paralysis.

Thanks for commenting about Asian/Korean genetic commonalities. I'm Korean-American too and trying to deal w/Bruxism. It's difficult to find Asian ethnic related advice in the US, please keep addressing this. I was able to find a Korean oral surgeon/dentist who also does masseter Botox. He treats me like a fellow Korean, he's honest, and fairly priced.
Dr. Youn is heaven sent to you tube. He is clearly a caring and highly ethical physician. I would get really cringy when I would hear about "botox parties" where a roomful of women would gather and hopefully a trained skin care professional would go around the room giving multiple injections. I dont know..just the idea of that worried me. I've had botox done three times by a Dermatologist and was pleased with the result, never got into it as a lifestyle choice. Anyone considering it please do your research and only use a medical doctor who has a lot of experience and is ethical. 💚💙💜

Thank you again doctor! Question, because of botox in the jaw, being that the muscles are weakened, would that cause flabbiness and more jowling over time? I want to have my lower face slimmed down but I want my jaw to look chiseled 😊 I want your opinion before I get it done. I trust your expertise

You can inject hyluranic acid filler in your 11 it works pretty well

What pattern do you recommend for someone who got ptosis of the brow? I had a Spock 🖖 angry brow. It subsided 9 days after the initial injection but my lids are heavier and I cannot put my eyeshadow on without lifting my brow now. He never drew dots on my face .

lol. Thats called the nasolabial fold. You will never get ris of it.
It happens from
(1) Weak midfacial bones, small chin, or backset mandible
(2) Fat drift
(3) and like you said, smiling.

The chin is a great place if you have an orange peel effect when you scrunch your chin. A good injector can completely smooth out the chin. It one of my favorite places to have injected. Also very small amounts on the lines around the mouth has a fabulous effect....however you have to have a very experienced person or YIKES😊

You talk about using just a very little botox to turn your frown upside down. It sort of sounds like a warning. So now I’m curious. What happens to your frown if you use too much?

I've been inject botox 100 for being V shape face. 3days after injection till now, I feel my left cheek become hollow cheek and can not smile width while the right cheek is fine. Big suggestion, to record the video with better quality. The highest quality to view any of your videos in is 360p which is very poor quality. Try to aim for 1080p.

Hello, I had botox 6 days ago, 20 units for the 11's lines between my eyebrows. It was the first time I ever received Botox. I still have seen no changes to my forehead. I am a very fit, muscular person, and wonder if I didn't get enough units, or if my practitioner didn't inject in the proper spots. Please give me advice what to do. Thank you!

She suggested we try "New Tox" which I have never heard of. Are you familiar with this, and do you recommend switching or staying with traditional Botox?

Hi doctor Youn. I have been having calf fasciculations in both my calves and soleus whenever i am at rest. I was just wondering if it is possible to get Botox in the calf muscle, and will it stop twitching?
The first time I used botox i expirenced some trouble swallowing ...I had to calm my mind so that I wouldn't panic ! What went wrong ? I really enjoyed the treatment ...but I really do think that they had put too much into my forhead

How long does it last you?
No! The key is to go more often. When you do more at one time, it starts to look bad. The key of being “high maintenance” is to maintain often. Not in lump sums
Just a thought... If the masseters shrink, wouldn't that make the skin droop a little and either create jowls or make them worse for those who already have them?

How long Botox effects on face 4months or 6months ?specially uder lips and corners of the lips if we go for this treatment.
My friend does not speak english so im asking this question on her behalf. She got botox 6 months ago in her 11, beside her eyes and on her forehead.... did not work... the doctor injected some more 3 weeks after... that's when her eyes dropped but the areas where still full of wrinkles..... she went again 2 weeks ago... and its still not effective on her wrinkles but she got a "Dr. Spok"eye now... what should she do now? Why is it not effective On Her wrinkles? Why did she get these side effect but still full wrinkles? Should she be seeing an other doctor? Is it possible that Botox will never work On Her? As it's the second (3rd...) time that it's not working with the same doctor do you think that the doctor should fixe it for free? Or she should wait 6 months an just go see another doctor? Thank you

That happened to me one time too...just had to wait it out. Next time I told the PA and she knows which muscle not to hit so that has not ever happened again

I wish I could post a picture. I have a long line, dent on the left side of my face which is a part of my tear troff area and cheek bone. If you injected botox on my crow's feet area but down towards my cheek more would that smooth that out, if it also has filler there?

But if you do the glabella without the frontalis, won't that have the opposite effect? and lift both brows up to high? Unopposed frontalis.

I use sauna everyday for the past 2 yrs. Im 43. I just had my first botox a week ago. I havent been in my sauna because i was told i will sweat out the botox and it would not be effective. I have upper eyelid dropping (not because of any medical illness )
And a plastic surgeon advised me that I would benefit from lid lifting surgery.my eyebrows are a bit arched , do you recommend botox injection in a V shape pattern on my forehead wrinkles "which I have but not very deep" so that I may have my eyebrows lifted without surgery and improve my forehead wrinkles at the same time?

Thank you so much for this video. I'm 59 and will be having Botox done for the first time. Now I know where I would like to have it done. I've purchased only 40 units so Crows feet and between the eyes looks like the best places for me to start out with.
