- In today's video I'm going to paint my nails and talk through it step by step. This is one of the questions you guys ask me the most "How do you apply your polish so evenly!" and we all know it's just practice and a good clean up brush! :P
In this video you'll get tips on how to paint, how much product to put on the brush, how to clean up, etc.

I like how you clean up right after polishing each nail. I think it makes a big difference rather than cleaning up after polishing all your nails. Your application is so perfect and I enjoy watching you polish your nails. Love the Skittle mani! TFS!
Hey Cami! Thank u! I find it easier to clean while the polish is still wet than later when it’s dry. Some people prefer to do it when it’s dry, so whatever works! 😝

I know you probably did your cleanup while the polish was still wet for ease of creating this video... but I find I have neater results if I do my cleanup once my color coats have dried. Then I apply topcoat and sometimes just need to do a tiny bit more of detail cleanup depending on the length of my nails. They're usually short, so I tend to get polish on the tips by the free edge. It's mesmerizing to watch you work!!
Oh, yeah either wet or dry works fine :) For me I’ve found that while wet is much faster than dry, but it really is personal preference and whatever works for you is what you should d. Thank you for watching my video!! ❤️❤️❤️

This was a good follow up to your other video. You have really good control of both your polish brushes and clean up brushes. Would you be able to expand on the control of the brushes?
I would actually be lying to you if I said I did. I think it’s just practice (for real). I didn’t always have so much control, so def don’t get discouraged if u don’t yet. Also, we should give good credit to a good formula, they really do make me look more skilled than I am a lot of times :) - thank you so much for watching and for ur feedback ❤️❤️❤️
GREAT tutorial and I love the colors! Thank you! Do you have to worry about cleaning up the top coat if you flood your cuticles or does it only matter for the color?
I clean up top coat as well. I clean up anything (even base coat) if it floods. It’s just that usually I flood polish and not the clear ones but when I do, I clean them as well ❤️ - thanks for watching!!

Chipping depends on many things (I have a whole Instagram highlight on chipping I recommend you check that out). I also have a video here on my channel that goes over all my clean up brushes (the thumbnail is a hand with black nail polish), I go over prices, sizes, usages of them etc. ❤️

Do you ever cap your free edge? I find that my polish lasts a lot longer as it seals it in. Plus with all the hand washing going on I find that it helps the wear time. Tfs.🌹
I wear my at-home manis with 1-2 days in mind so I do not cap. When I paint my friend’s nails I do cap. I agree capping helps extend the life of the mani, but I don’t often do it and because of that, I forgot to mention it in this video 😂 - I will make sure to include that tip when I do a video I have planned on “how to make your mani last longer”. ❤️❤️
What's a cap free edge? I'm so wanting to get this set & do my own. I wait tables & I wash my hands a lot plus with everything going on wash some more.

Cool video! I think that's the wrong brush linked in the description (yours looks like a cleanup brush, the one linked is like a striping brush). I do my nails pretty much the same way too, only I cap and wait a little longer between coats cause I use a lot of glitters and flakes and they dry so long.

I do, yep. The top coat works with any regular lacquer not just this brand ❤️
If my polish is patchy/not as opaque in some areas does it mean I’m applying too much pressure in my strokes, doing too many strokes or it’s just the formula? 🤔
It could be any of those things :) Not all formulas are the same, you can have a good formula and apply it w/ too much pressure and you get patches, or you can do everything perfectly and the formula is bad and then it's still patchy. It depends :)
