2:29 keep in mind that godpowers in retold are often slightly different to og aom/ee. In this case, pestilence doesn't disable training units but slows down training units and prevents buildings from shooting arrows. It does no longer affect town centers.
Controversial take: I would put plenty in A, here's why: Although a fantastic eco power, I always felt like at that point in the game, your eco should already be insane. The best use I have found for it is: it allows you more resource security while doing things like opening titan gates. You could like play a bit more freely with villagers. It is also a very easy ability to use. I guess the main point I am trying to make is: It is not that OP of a power, but it is certainly pretty good. I would personally put it in A (top A at least), but I won't complain if people put it in S since it can be very useful. I also think ceasefire should be higher since it can save your rear early game, and lure should also be higher since it can give you some nice free prey and it acts as a dropoff, saving you some wood.
I feel you! I like Plenty as end game I move my villagers towards praying and let the vault trickles keep my armies going, I do like my myth units armies haha! I also agree with the others, lure being a dropsite now is great!
Plenty is equal to 10 villagers. So it is basically +10 population. You can instead use your villagers to build towers forward or delete them and make more army. Getting multiple plenties up would also be a way to avoid getting gold starved.
@@sebastiaanb2651 True, it does have uses. I don't think it is bad, but for me it is not as good as some might think. For me, when you are at the last age, aggressive and support powers (like meteor, nado, and bronze) might be more beneficial, because it might help to secure a big fight and allow you to steamroll the enemy base. Big fights are more likely to happen at that age. When you are at that last age, you will already have a big eco and plenty won't help you in a fight as much. I guess you are right in a sense that you could kill some vills and build more military, but imo, powers like meteor are just more impactful in mythic age than plenty. I would still at the very least put plenty maybe mid - high A.
CEASE FIRE IN THE C TIER IS CRIMINAL, it's an extremely savior godpower when your military is really bad positioned in a battle and it can save you games, period.
Ceasefire can also completely nullify the effect of heroic age godpowers (flaming weapons, frost, etc) as well as severely limit the effectiveness of mythic age GP's (EQ? rebuild during cf). It is heavily nerfed (60s->30s) compared to old game, but it is 100% still A or even S tier for its rank.
Ares is not disabling the production as in the original game. In Retold, it severely slows the production of buildings and also disables the attack of all structures except the Town Center.
I think Curse and Ceasefire should go higher. Because Curse works based on enemy hp. During a battle it can reduce enemy army like 6 unit which could snowball big in a fight. And it can be reused as well. Ceasefire can stop major timing attacks with other strong god powers like Flaming Weapons or Restoration.
@@thatbritrick Eclipse and fimbulwinter prevent ceasefire from being cast, you'd have to time it preemptively (sometimes done between ancestors/eclipse and flaming weapons/fimbulwinter.) Both curse and cease are A/S tier for their rank.

In the 5th scenario of the campaign Troy uses the curse god power and it did turned my heroes (the greek heroes, not the campaign heroes) into pigs. So either the power can turn heroes into pigs now, or that's something that can only happen in the campaing. If it does, then it can be a good way to turn heroes into nothing, and if it works against the Raganarok then that will make this a B or even A tier power.
When I played the Olympus level, I liked that I could change my units as often as I wanted, cyclops to hydra and back again, it is the curse godpower, but I didn't think it was the same one we had access to
After creating this, I started to question why i had put Ceasefire so low, I never used it much, but since playing through the campaign on Titan difficulty, I wish I had ceasefire every game 😂
Curse does hit myth units btw. It's a pretty strong god power especially since it's rather cheap and it can turn the tides of a battle and a losing fight into a winning one. Imo it's up there with restoration which also deserves higher than a tier tbh, since you can cast it many times. Also you could argue that sentinels should be higher. It won't be that strong in lategame but it's a strong defensive gp in early game making hades' defensive play absolute bonkers. Underworld is nice but not that strong as it used to be in the original imo, since there are so much better alternatives, now that you can cast them multiple times and multiple curses are so much better than multiple underworld passages.
I used to love Sentinel in the original game for that early game defensive boost, especially against those aggressive AI players, I didn't have any luck with curse on myth units but maybe that's because it singles out the humans first, will have to try it against some myth units!
Sentinels can be spammed on the same town centre and allied town centers. It was what saved my friend from titan ai Early attacks. Definitely A tier imo.
Would you say it's too cheap or too expensive? It's nice that it does spawn in some chickens so you do get some free animals with it, but is it worth spending the extra favor?
@@bruvkek4629 I do not 100% see the point of using it again. Even if they made its recast completely free and only timer based, then it still probably wouldn't be considered op. Imo, it is only really good early game as a free dropoff and for some hunt. Please correct me if it does have some other use that I am missing.
@@thatbritrick very true, I'm addicted to them. But that makes me feel kinda sad too: taking the example of aom, I used to like units and powers based on how cool they looked, not how objectively more effective they were. So ranking kind of takes a bit of magic away

Devs really need to make a response of units when Arkantos and Einheri myth units do their warcry.
