    This is so interesting because my experience was the exact opposite. On a paleo diet I felt so restricted and was constantly craving carbs. All I could think about and dream about was oats and bread and pasta. I was eating WAY too much protein and felt super bloated and sick all the time. My digestion was terrible. Since going vegan I've felt so much less restricted, way happier, more full, less sick and just all round better in every way. Just goes to show everyone is different, like you say ☺️

      Azura Victoria this is so true that everyone is different. I was determined for years that vegan was the best thing for me but I struggled so hard with it and it didn't fix my digestive issues. I pushed myself so hard and ripped myself up every time I caved and had and animal products. I recently gave up on it and tried out the Palio diet and it's the best I've ever felt! I struggle still with the idea of eating animals but I only eat free range/grass fed/organic humanly raised meats. But it's just really shown me that there is no one size fits all. We all know sugar is bad for you and etc. but everyone is different and we should all be more excepting of that. I think it's a really great thing when we can all discuss our lifestyle without judgement and look at other people's views 😊

      Azura Victoria This. Yas. I originally went vegan for the animals and environmental, health wasn't even a thought when I first transitioned. Although I'm paying more attention now and switching to more raw meals because I feel even better with less cooked or oily food in my diet (forever addicted to french fries tho).
      I grew up on a strict paleo diet (organic, grass-fed, "humanely slaughtered" bs, local farms and all) and never realized how horrible I actually felt until after I went vegan. Before, I was constantly sluggish, never had any energy, anemia (medications helped a little bit), acne, dandruff, high blood pressure, and dangerously high cholesterol even as a 12 year old. I have never been medically obese but while paleo my weight would constantly fluctuate 10-15lbs a MONTH. But now that I'm vegan, I stay a solid healthy weight and I'm only steadily gaining in muscle from doing yoga&kettle bell. My skin is clear af, and my hair and nails grow stronger and faster as well. My anemia actually went away entirely and my doctor doesn't even know what to think about it 😂 (take that big Pharma!)

      so weird I felt the exact opposite lol i always felt weak on a vegan diet and never full. I became so obsessive over food. Life isnt about food and it was like my whole life was revolving around what I could put in my mouth. Different strokes for different folks i suppose, so weird!

    Even as a vegan- I really enjoyed this video. I completely respect the fact that not everyone wants to live a vegan lifestyle. It's not easy and everyone has their reasons and opinions. The vegan community can be SO hateful when there's actually no reason to be. Let everyone live their life how they want! It's not hard to be respectful. No one is better than anyone else, especially when it comes to diet.

      We criticise because its not your “personal choice” it literally destroys the enviorment, is bad for your health, kills innocent mass produced animals... nothing good about it at all. If you want to be a junk food vegan go ahead. But when your lifestyle has a victim that is sufficiently negatively affected there needs change.

      @valken666 6 років тому +19

      It's hard to be respectful (or make sense for that matter) when you're malnourished. Vegans attack ex-vegans and vegetarians more than massive meat eaters, they don't make sense. Try searching for 'barbecue', look at the most famous videos. No dislikes from vegans, no vegan comments, nothing.

    I'm personally plant-based, but I amongst many others feel like the vegan community has become so toxic and judgemental. Everyone is so quick to defend all the suffering animals (which we can all agree no suffering is okay) but as soon as someone is struggling with cystic acne from imbalanced blood-sugar levels, from the high carbs, or people are struggling with the amount of time they have to spend cooking and preparing food, when they work 9-5 full time and have young children, then "they're just not doing it right." They need to "eat more," they need to "go to bed later/get up earlier" so they can meal prep the "right vegan foods." The vegan community is quickly regressing into a vicious, intolerable religion with no interest in diplomacy or compassion for people's bodies or lifestyles.

    • @elizabeth1703
      @elizabeth1703 7 років тому +11

      How privileged are you to think everyone has the same opportunities? No one is denying that animals are greatly exploited and it's disgusting. It is. But your attitude is disgusting as well.

    I would hardly say that the videos of slaughter houses are from a biased perspective. They are what all slaughter houses in the United States look like. I don't know how it is in Australia but in the US every single slaughterhouse looks exactly like the documentaries show and you can drive by them and see for yourself the conditions that the animals are living in

    • @Glimmerlight90
      @Glimmerlight90 7 років тому +37

      I live in the US as well and that's not entirely true... there are plenty of ethically raised livestock roaming in green pastures close to where I live. To eat them would be expensive and you could probably only find them in specialty stores, but those places definitely are everywhere around where I live.

      +Leeya Flanagan In the Earthlings documentary you can see how the most prestigious (as in kind with animals and no horrible death) slaughterhouse breaks rule after rule while killing a cow and giving it a horrible death. I don't pride myself with loving the animals as I don't feel a lot of love for them all but I am aware that the way I am used to see their death is unnatural and inconsiderate of their hurt and that they are heavily and horribly exploited, and that doesn't do good to anyone: not the consumers, not the planet and environment, not to them. Only to those that take loads of money out of this.

      Tell us something we're misinformed about then? Honestly I have to say that vegans are nothing like the meat eaters make them to be. I've never ever seen/met/talked with/to so many intelligent, loving and kind humans at once. Do you know why you think we're rude? Because you feel threatened and you don't want to accept that what you're doing is wrong and I get why you do, I felt so aswell when I had a closed up mind but instead of being the typical meateater go and educate yourself and try to watch the world with open eyes. The only thing vegans want to do is to save innocent lives, save humans from starvation, saving our planet and our bodies but we are always the rude ones?

    • @cynicalidealist11
      @cynicalidealist11 6 років тому +6

      "Rude" - Do you think it's rude to stab an animal in the throat? I'd say that qualifies.
      "Judgmental" - I'd say it's pretty judgmental to think that animals have such little value that it's okay for murder than for no legitimate reason.
      Also way to judge vegans by calling them rude, judgmental and misinformed. Hypocrite much?
      "Misinformed" - On the contrary vegans are the ones who actually care to do their research and find our the truth AND then change their habits based on that information.

    Me and my boyfriend had signed a lease to move in together after 6 months. At the time we basically spent all our time together anyway so it was a convenience decision. I think if you're having massive doubts, then don't do it. From my experience, living together has definitely helped us grow more and be more in tune with each other. I know a lot of people think you don't need to live with someone to know them, but for me it has had such a positive impact on our relationship. The first few months were hard (but I think that was just growing pains), and there were times I regretted my decision. Overall though, and a few months later, our relationship is so much stronger. I think the key is to have your own designated space that you can retreat to when you need your own time. As long as you have open communication, you can make any situation work!
    Regardless, you'll make the right decision for yourself :) It's all in the gut!

    I always love your videos! I am vegan, and I was so happy to see a video that wasn't condemning vegan diets! I'm vegan because no matter how the animal was treated/raised it is still slaughtered. There are other things to eat so why take the life of a sentient being? I've lost weight and maintained my healthy lifestyle. For me it works and I love it. Having said all that, everyone is on their own life journey. I don't want to be judged so it's not my job to judge others. ✌❤🌱

    • @ricepee
      @ricepee 7 років тому +2

      question for you - if you owned chickens, brought them up and raised then, knew how they were treated, how they were raised and what their living conditions were becasue YOU did it, would you:
      a) eat the eggs from said chicken
      b) eat it if it died of natural causes?

    • @ladyfrederick788
      @ladyfrederick788 7 років тому +2

      viclyspice No, once someone has learned what to eat without animals and doesn't have the taste for it anymore they realize from that aspect as well how unnecessary it is. A vegan could eat eggs if they truly come from an independent owner that they're sure cares about them and there are no roosters, just hens. I personally after being vegan three years have no desire to eat eggs, or any animal products ever again. If people are craving meat or eggs after going vegan, it's because they need to be eating more vegan protein and maybe more vegan fats. I also noticed for myself that upping those after going vegan got rid of my initial dairy cravings:)

      You can try an elimination diet to determine what specific foods make you feel good and bad. This takes about 2 months. But trying paleo, vegan, etc takes at least a 6 month commitment to fully know. When i removed gluten my bloating and stomach pains went away. Then eliminating dairy helped a ton. Its a process.

      DIY Hellopie first off i ended up going vegan because I wanted to get skinny and tried that thinking it was a sure fire-way. The vegan diet did not work for me AT ALL. I gained 5lbs in fat, felt sluggish, and I have PCOS so my body didn't enjoy the excess carbs. Then I tried iifym because of what I saw on Instagram and lost weight but felt like shit. Then I heard of the Paleo diet and tried it for a month and I wasn't as constipated, I lost weight, my skin cleared up, and it was pretty maintainable.
      In conclusion, try different diets for a while to see how your body reacts to it

    I binged tonight and felt super guilty and pretty disappointed in myself, so of course went to UA-cam to look up how to avoid binges in the future and came upon your video. I loved all the tips and a lot of them I hadn't thought of! But what I love most of all is this video and how you, even after dedicating a whole video on how not to binge, binged, because I feel sometimes like I'm the only person who just can't seem to get the hang of it and like I'm never going to get out of the cycle. But it makes me feel better knowing that even people who know what the right thing to do is, and those who practice it can still slip up. We're all human and I need to remind myself of that and try not to beat myself up so much when I slip up. Thanks for being there xxoo

    I doubt you'll read this but I really hope you do. I was actually subscribed to you about a year ago or more, whenever you were vegan. It was when I first started understanding veganism and nutrition (I'm going to school for nutrition). Anyway, I'm not sure why but back then I thought you seemed kind of unhappy or something. I can't really think of the word but maybe you were unhappy with your diet or your life but you gave off a less than amazing vibe. HOWEVER, I recently rediscovered your videos and let me just say you are AMAZING. I am in love with your attitude and overall vibe you give off, you're so real and positive and it's so engaging. I hope the first part doesn't bother you because I myself went through a time where I was unhappy and I'm sure we all do! And of course I don't know your life. But the reason I wanted to say this is because after watching this video I had an idea that maybe it was because you were vegan and your diet was making you sluggish and irritable. For some people veganism doesn't work for them, at least eating completely raw. A lot of vegans like to say its cause you aren't trying hard enough or doing it wrong, but the fact is everyone is just different! The way YOU eat should fuel your body properly and make you thrive in all aspects of life!! I can see in your skin, body, smile, EVERYTHING, that you are a happy glowing girl! I'm just a 20 year old american girl who definitely doesn't know everything about nutrition but I do know a fair amount about people and whatever you're doing, KEEP DOING IT. I looooove your videos and you deserve so many more followers! I know you'll gain more just because of how lovely you are to watch! Hope this made your day a lil brighter :) #SpreadPositivity

    right but the documentaries depicting the harsh realities of animal agriculture is based off of factory farming, which is the predominant way that animals are bred for consumption (at least in the US). in your example of your uncle's farm, it sounds very small-scale and pretty ethical, but that's not true for the majority of animal agriculture. young people, who most likely make up a large part of your audience, are at an age where they're very impressionable and feeding this false idea of what animal agriculture is to them is so so so detrimental. I do not think you need to bolster your justification for eating animal products by saying these documentaries are made by 'vegans themselves' or depicting 'the worst of the worst' because that's false. All I'm saying is please do not down play how awful the animal agriculture industry is, especially from an ethical standpoint.

    It’s a shame you thought the vegan diet was restrictive. I wonder if you
    were too consumed with eating clean or becoming lean. I think some people almost try and be ‘too’ healthy and do too much in one go. I’ve been vegan for nearly 15 years (and was vegetarian for 13 years before that, so meat free for 28 years in total). Going
    vegan was the best thing I ever did - but I did it for the animals and not for
    my body. I’ve never been sick, but I’ve also never restricted myself so much, I
    never went fully raw, or even did raw till 4. I’ll eat potato chips, I’ll eat
    veggie burgers, I don’t ban myself from eating anything or commit to only
    eating raw... as long as it’s vegan and I’m not harming animals, it’s all good. I
    think these days with social media, some people (not you, but people in
    general) care too much about how they look, getting a body to show off to
    others, and it’s less about ethics. ‘If you stand for nothing, you’ll fall for
    anything.’ If anyone is reading who IS thinking of going vegan, or finding it
    hard, I’d say to join vegan product groups on Facebook for starters. I’m on
    groups like Vegan Supermarket Finds UK and it seems like every day there are new
    and exciting vegan products coming out. It’s not hard at all when you know what
    products are out there and where to go. Don’t be too strict on yourself - don’t
    do too much in one go. But knowing that you’re not contributing to animal cruelty is
    the best thing, in my opinion.

    i'm a vegan myself and I completely understand where you're coming from, and thats so great that your uncle treats his cattle like that. but the only reason why most docos have that disgusting footage in it is because that is where majority of the meat and dairy comes from and whether you treat your cattle nicely or not, at the end of the day you're simply killing them for your taste buds when they do not want to die.
    I know veganism might not be for everyone, but I personally don't want to contribute to such disgusting behaviours that happen in majority of meat and dairy industries.

      Try Cronometer to check if you're getting all the nutrients your body needs. If you still are not feeling better, then maybe eat some mussels. Mussels farms don't harm the environment, they suck the excess fertilizer from land farms that are dumped in the oceans. Their nerve system is simpler than that of an insect, and many insects die per plant on a common land farm.

    As a vegan I'm glad you're feeling healthy now but saddened you've reintroduced animal products into your diet. Even within a vegan diet there are many different things to eat and lots of room for experimentation that more than likely could have done the trick. I give you a lot of credit for trying and hope you one day try again. Animals raised on small family farms are certainly treated far better than factory farms, that's certainly true. You mentioned seeing how happy the animals live on small farms. But did you also watch them being slaughtered? Were they happy then? Gary Yourofsky gave a perfect analogy about this subject when he proposed the scenario of a guy taking a girl out on a wonderful date and treating her like a queen and then drugging and raping her at the end of the night. "She had a wonderful time and never knew what happened!" he might argue. That still doesn't make it right. I hope you continue to only buy animal products from small free range farms and one day find it within you to try going vegan again. Consider fortified cereal, legumes, lentils, and tofu as good sources of iron.

    • @beautyfrmwithin89
      @beautyfrmwithin89 7 років тому +15

      Kyle Archer please do not compare anything to rape. While I understand the your point trying to make, as extreme as it is, rape is not comparable. It is clearly chauvinistic logic...

    • @dreaminez472
      @dreaminez472 7 років тому +23

      When cows are forcibly impregnated for milk someone has to reach their entire arm into the cows anus to hold the cervix out of the way before they insert a long syringe into her vagina. This is done on a "rape rack." That's the industry's term, not a term vegans made up. I understand how horrible rape is, that's why I don't support the animal agriculture industry. If extending the same respect I have for women to animals is chauvinistic than sure, I'm a chauvinist. I encourage you to look up videos about the dairy and meat industry and see for yourself. Animals are actually raped, tortured, mutilated, and murdered so we can consume their flesh and byproducts. If one cannot completely cut out animal products at least the greatest effort should be made to reduce consumption as much as possible.

    • @beautyfrmwithin89
      @beautyfrmwithin89 7 років тому +6

      Kyle Archer Kyle Archer if you truly understood how terrible rape is, you would be able to see past your very narrow view. It is not a matter of extending respect it is about understanding the parallels between the issues. The very fact that their is a "rape rack" is an issue. And then to call yourself a chauvinist....I am baffled. Are you sure you truly respect women? Are you too blinded by your beliefs to understand me? I am well versed in the rape culture of the industry has it has pulled its inspiration from the breeding plantations in America where slave women were treated the same way. Are you not aware of the connections between animal welfare and the way people are treated when pulled into sex trafficking? My mind is blown, as you want others to extend compassion towards animals but you cannot understand my point. What I am saying to you is understand how offensive a comment like that can be. There is no need to encourage me to do research for you topic, as I did not say I disagreed with your point of view. I merely disagreed with the comment made. It is presumptuous of you to talk to me as if I am unaware of the treatment of animals or to talk to me as if I consume animal products. Before you feel the need to enforce your point of view, just take a moment to think about the perspective of someone else. Maybe ask yourself why did she make this comment, what did I say that could have been misconstrued?

    • @dreaminez472
      @dreaminez472 7 років тому +18

      "Are you not aware of the connections between animal welfare and the way people are treated when pulled into sex trafficking?" Yes, I certainly am. That's precisely my point. I'm not describing myself as a chauvinist, I'm saying that being equally as horrified by animal agriculture as rape does not make me a chauvinist. I am genuinely as offended by both. That makes me someone who's empathetic to all living beings who are suffering needlessly, regardless of race, gender, or species. Please don't make me out to be some kind of bigot. I've seen animals cannibalizing themselves because they're so overcrowded, living in their own excrement in total darkness, pumped with so many hormones they can barely move. I've seen 4 month old calves strung up by their hind legs trashing helplessly as their throats are slit, choking on their own blood. I've seen baby chicks fed into grinders alive on conveyer belts and pigs crammed into tiny crates and lowered into gas chambers so we can eat bacon. It is not only women who've been oppressed in this world, tens of billions of animals a year live in hell their whole lives with no voices to speak out but the few who've felt their pain on the deepest spiritual level possible. It is the same level as the rape of a women and you cannot shame me for being as horrified by both.

      What I've found is just trying to eliminate things for a short period. By taking a break from those foods, when you try them again you can more easily tell a difference in your body if they don't settle well. By not eating flour for a couple weeks, I've found that I feel much cleaner when eating rice than when eating wheat. My dad, who was against veganism for years, gave up meat for a month and then ate chicken and found it didn't settle well for him at all. Watch what you eat and study how certain meals make you feel afterwards.

      Sarah & Kendra You can always play around with your macros in a vegan diet as well to see how that makes you feel. As a vegan you don't necessarily need to eat a lot of carbs like a lot of misinformed you tubers want you to think. Adding more plant based protein and fats into your diet can really improve your energy and bloating issues. Check out someone like Sarah's Test Kitchen who eats a balanced vegan diet :)

      I just experimented and found out by raising levels of protein or carbs and seeing what worked best. When I tried to do a high carb vegan diet which everyone is always saying is the best, I found myself always feeling bloated or always hungry even though I was eating huge quantities of food. I was always focused on finding my next meal, the moment I lowered the carbs a bit and increased my healthy fats I was leaner than ever and feeling so much more energetic and not starving all the time. Just see if you feel better eating like a massive bowl of oats or does your body respond better to a smaller bowl of oats but with some PB on top. Test different combos and see what's best :)

    I think people need to eat what works for them. For some people, veganism works well, for others, it just doesn't work. I have a huge issue digesting fiber. I don't eat meat, but I do it eggs. I avoid a lot of dairy, because I can't break down lactose. If you have intolerances or issues that make veganism hard, you've got to do what works for your body :)

But I've been with my boyfriend for 4 months, and honestly when you know you know. We have family issues, hence moving in together - just do it! If you're in it for the long run then why does it matter when it happens. You're better off to find out if you are suppose to be together now, rather than waiting a year to move in together and finding out then. Just go for it sister, why not!

    Thank you thank you thank you for taking the time to tell why you are no longer vegan and for pointing out that documentaries against consuming animal product consumption are ALWAYS done from the perspective of their vegan film makers. Wake up - they have an agenda! You're correct. It is our job as consumer to responsibly source our animal products. My beef comes from grass fed cows that are happy and healthy. How do I know, because I've been there and saw they way they were raised. Same for my dairy as well as my eggs/chickens. The chickens I source live in an awesome home, yes home. They spend their days wandering about and loving life. When it's cold out, they actually have little jackets they wear. Yep. I'm subscribing to you just because of this video. TFS!!

I feel like the vegan movement is great, some people just go to an extreme and feel the need to shame anyone who isn't following their way of life. Now I'm dabbling in a kind of plant based HFLC diet but having trouble getting protein... anyone have any suggestions? soy protein isolate is not good for you because it increases IGF-1 hormone which is associated with many ailments. However, ALL SOY IS NOT BAD. Tofu and whole soy (edamame) is very, very good for you. Linked with reducing breast/prostate cancer and a host of other diseases.
      For protein best is pea protein or I use Raw Garden protein which is a mixture of proteins. I like the taste of it. My fiance not as much. But yeah eat that and tofu and just make sure your eating enough of whole foods with more protein like beans, lentils and quinoa, NOT just pasta and white rice.

    local farms are great where you can see how the animals are treated but be careful with free range and other places like that because most of the time they bend the truth a lot. I understand where you are coming from, but the majority of places are cruel to animals, the documentaries only capture some of them.

    • @102nickplays
      @102nickplays 7 років тому +7

      Sophie Burnett Regardless of how an animal is treated it is still psychopathic to stab it to death needlessly. Just like how it would be wrong to kill a human needlessly even if he was treated well during his lifetime.

    • @mariahunt317
      @mariahunt317 7 років тому

      Jesus Nick it's just death. People need to stop being so emotional when it comes to death, the animals certainly do not mind. Time is only essential to humans, since we're the only species that understand it. A cow could not distinguish a difference between death at 2 years of age compared to 8.

    • @102nickplays
      @102nickplays 7 років тому +1

      Maria Hunt I'm not convinced animals cannot comprehend time. But for the sake of argument let's just say they don't. So there are definitely some severely mentally handicapped people who cannot conceptualize time. So if a creatures ability to conceptualize time is your criteria of whether it has a right to life or not. Then you must agree that the severally mentally handicapped have no right to life and that's its not morally wrong to holocaust them. And if you reject that position then you are holding what's called a (Double Standard). So if you want to stay consistent with your logic and reasoning then you will need to come up with a better argument why you think it's morally justified to needlessly death stab billions of animals.

    • @102nickplays
      @102nickplays 7 років тому +3

      Maria Hunt And for the first part of your attempt at an argument.
      "It's just rape, people need to stop being so emotional when it comes to rape."
      Notice how that is simply just not a compelling argument and just insanely absurd.

    • @mariahunt317
      @mariahunt317 7 років тому

      Nick Dorokhin That argument is so flawed and what your stating does not represent double standards. As much as I don't care about humans being killed or dying (not one single human gets upset over the death of someone they do not know, since it happens daily). Those individuals have carers or family that can comprehend time, and also the death of that person.
      In terms with your rape example, that has no affiliation to what I said before, because humans do care about being raped, animals on the other hand do not care about being given a life they would not of had otherwise, living with less anxiety and then being killed for food. They don't have the mental capacity to process that information.

    Sarah,
    Omg , I can so relate to you!! I was also a vegan for a while and definitely tried it the right way. Did extensive research, read the China study etc. However, my body did not feel fulfilled, it was missing something. I would have like heavy cravings for yogurt and eggs. And my Iron was low too! When my hair started falling out more than usual, I realized I need to add amino acids. After slowley adding grass fed organic fish, chicken and meat my body felt full! Not deprived of anything.
    IDK, I am still trying to have a strong focus on veggies and fruits, but adding some of the organic animal products makes my body a HUGE difference. Not to forget that if anyone struggles with candida, being primary vegan can cause that candida to become worse and overwork one's gallbladder.
    Thank you for sharing :)

    Doesnt matter free range or not, the main point is a large portion of the animal's potential life is taken away from it in meat industry and also no matter how good a life the animal has, its death is still painful. No animal would ever want to endure the pain of having its throat slit or electrocuted no matter how much good life it had.

      RosesareRed38 Animals also fling shit at each other, sniff each other's asses as a greeting, and sometimes eat their young. Should we also take those examples from other creatures that only know how to operate on instinct and have no higher order brain function? Factory farming isn't a "part of life" that should be accepted. We aren't predators, we're not at the top of the food chain, and it's not our instinct to salivate at the sight of raw, rotting meat. These "arguments" are just poor excuses to soothe your conscience.

      question for you - if you owned chickens, brought them up and raised then, knew how they were treated, how they were raised and what their living conditions were becasue YOU did it, would you:
      a) eat the eggs from said chicken
      b) eat it if it died of natural causes?

    • @elinasaksakulm5725
      @elinasaksakulm5725 7 років тому +5

      Yet it would still be harmful for the environment(animal farming is not sustainable especially, ironically enough- the humane, "nice" way as it wastes too much land) and well-then you would eat a chicken once every few years if you actually wait for it to die : D not everyday like most people in western societys(and then we complain about heart disease and cancer). To be honest that wouldn`t be as much of an issue, if we could produce the meat the way you described-without cutting off rainforests(like we are doing now), pumping animals with hormones(which causes health problems) and let them be treated humanely. However there is 8 billion people in this world. And most of us eat meat meat many times a week. If you do the math-it`s simply not possible-we are in trouble even now with our disgusting factory farming(I dare you to search for footage-you will probably not like what you see yet you support it everyday with your choice as a consumer) as animals need atleast 8x times as much grain for food than humans(chickens ofc less).
      It would be possible if meat would be a costly, rare treat, which humans eat perhaps once a week or so like in the old times(our cultural norm is meat centered yet health wise it`s not actually healthy to eat dairy when being adults(cows breastmilk full of casein) and eating meat everyday(cavemen ate mostly nuts, fruit, veggies-meat being a celebratory food which was caught time to time while spending long time-exercise/cardio-to hunt it down).
      Questions for you, if growing animals for food
      a)destroys the environment-including rainforests and third world locals who try to protest
      b)meat has low quality due to injected hormones
      c)animals are treated cruelly, they have disease and they are in contained spaces,
      is it rational and ethical to eat them?

      Rhian Hoy the largest canine teeth that have been seen in any animal actually belong to a herbivore; the hippo. The Gelada baboon has very large canines even though their diet consists of 90% grass with the other 10% being fruit and root vegetables. Actually, all true carnivores are different than us in that we do not have as acidic of stomach acid to be able to process uncooked meats. This is why we, unlike any other animal must cook our meat or we get sick because we do not have the same digestive qualities as a lion or another famous carnivore. Even the camel, a harmless and exclusively plant-eater has canines larger than humans. But thanks for playing(:

And honestly my aha moment was when my cousin said "seriously what would the point of cows, pigs and chickens be if not for human consumption. Wild animals would make them extinct pretty quick". I feel like Australian farms would be similar to Canadians...not so much factory farming but more free range and ethical:). I live on a dairy farm and it is not how they show it in the documentaries. What people don't realize is that in order for your animals to produce quality and large quantities of milk they have to be happy. (well fed , remain a good body temperature and not be under any stress) . Farmers dedicate their lives 24 hours a day 7 days a week to these animals. However just like anything else in the world there are people that do mistreat animals but it is not the norm. Those documentaries are only showing the worst of the worst.

      Exactly you could use the same excuse to say people shouldn't have dogs as pet s and go around and film a bunch of people who abuse their dogs and say see all dogs are abused.....

    YES. Everything you said about your diet is exactly, like EXACTLY what I've experienced. As a fellow PCOS gal I think a lot of it has to do with carb metabolism which can be messed up (lots of research on insulin resistance and lower carb diets for PCOS!!) Also higher fat is so necessary for making hormones so that's super important too. At the end of the day, clearly your body is thriving on a paleo diet so you're obviously doing something right. Thanks for being brave and addressing it because I feel like there's so much pressure for health youtubers to be vegan and the truth is it's just not right for everyone's body. Also tuna salads are mah lyf too
