This is a stupidly high profile and important investigation. You need to be damn sure there are no loose ends. This also goes beyond Trump possibly colluding with a foreign adversary, there's also the issue of how it happened. In hopes of preventing it in the future.
The Nixon investigation took years, too. And that was _without_ Nixon and his associates adding new crimes to the pile every other week...

To OP: The senate can have as much investigations as they wish basically. However that doesn't mean there aren't non-partisan factions doing their investigations.
In this case it's the FBI and - as I heard recently - even some public prosecutors besides the FBI investigating several elements of the Trump campaign and some of his private businisses.
Im usually not the type to follow politics, so outta curiosity, I wanted to see what Hilary has been up to... went on the search bar & typed in "whats Hilary Clinton doing now" … after clickin on a couple vids & hearing her speak, I gotta say, she's so much more well spoken than Trump. she's straight to the point, she didn't hesitate (no wasting time with a long pause) no beating around the bush. it's actually quite impressive, how grounded she is... & here we get stuck with a President that has the vocabulary of a 5th grader & the attention span of a 4 yr old :[ Yikes!!

I just saw a Republican senator from West Virginia supporting Trump's wall. Of what concern is this to the electorate of West Virginia? Surely you would think with such an abysmal record economically, educationally, and in terms of health care that West Virginia would have a better set of priorities. And don't blame migrant workers if West Virginian apple growers won't hire from the domestic labor market. That's a home-grown problem which a wall over a thousand miles away is not going to solve.
