Received Flow Pro yesterday. Really happy with the product and for the reasons you listed. Tracking in 360 app is spot on. But now being able to use with multiple apps such as FaceTime, Final Cut Camera and third party apps is a game changer. Did a long duration test in FaceTime, which included leaving the room for periods of time and as soon as I returned tracking locked on immediately. Was also able to remove phone to go into other apps with face time running in background, as soon as brought facetime back and attached to flow pro tracking simply recommenced automatically. The full 360 continuous rotation is such a bonus. Also now you have an additional option in pano photos of a full 360 shot.
@@davidnathan147 because of the lack of design change, I’m not sure people are very interested but this really has some game changing technology inside, glad you like it…. Enjoy.
Zander, a great review as always! I have the DJI OM6 and it has been my go-to gimble. I agree with you that the app functions is a great bonus for us fellow users. As a casual vlogger, it is very user-friendly and I especially appreciate the one-click editing function in the dji mimo app
It doesn't come with that MagSafe adapter, does it? The included accessories shows a clamp mount instead. It would have been nice if you had mentioned that you had to purchase that separately.
I saw a video on YT of someone using the DJI Mic 2 + Freewell’s Sherpa case & lens system and it handled it well. I got my Flow Pro today, and have both of the above mentioned accessories, so I’m excited to test if it can handle it-especially in Landscape mode.
@@gauteyfrombhw yes! I have tested this in both portrait and landscape filming and It does work. What I do is place a filter on the phone and then attach the magnetic clamp as close as possible to the filter-meaning towards the middle-top portion of the phone. I also connected the DJI Mic 2 receiver directly into my phone’s USB-C port which helps add counter weight at the bottom. Landscape and portrait worked fine. Though, I anticipate if you had a lot of active movement in landscape you could knock it out of balance. I film very mellow shots and nothing is ever really that sporty or active. I will say, the integrated cold shoe on the gimbal arm DOES NOT allow the DJI Mic 2 receiver to mount. Theres a slight curve on one side which just doesn’t let the low profile cold shoe accessory fit in. The transmitters fit fine, as do other things, but that was a bummer to see and, I think, a serious design flaw. You could get a cold shoe riser, but that kind of defeats the point of it. At least in terms of fitting with the DJI mics, which if it fit properly, would’ve been a true value prop for the Flow Pro. Anyway, it’s great, and it’s still my daily driver instead of my OM5. I still will use the OM5 tripod if I want more stability in grip length and putting my phone down, but the integrated one works 95% of the time.
Thanks for the detailed review! Do you think it matters if you have a phone case on to use the gimbal ? (Not the magnet part but the standard it comes with).
i want the flow pro but the HANDLE, pls tell me its good enough because it doesent look like its good enough to hold while doing some more complicated movements
I detect a distinct bias... you're whole channel is mostly 360 videos (Iooked like a 100 or more, but I quit counting). Your gimbal comparison is compelling, except 360 as a company has NO Customer service! I've never got a response to any of my queries on my X4 when it quits working going back to May. Looking at Amazon Insta360 Flow Pro reviews, 21% are 1 & 2 Star. DJI just came out with a firmware update, so it means they're still adding features. I ordered an OM6 ...which means the OM7 will be released as soon as my 30-day return period runs out.
I wound up returning the OM6 because it wouldn't stay horizontal in certain modes & DJI tech support was no help. May re-order if they fix firmware. I never got to test he baby-cam feature. which looks super useful with or without babies. (e.g. for simple social events)
@@thatsaloadofcrap I started the return yesterday, I will do it soon. Yes I also encountered some problems, especially with the gesture controls that do not work under full sun and in some cases not being able to rotate the phone 360 ° the arm of the dji appeared in cam! Next purchase will be the insta 360 flow pro or the next OM7 🤷
I had an OM6 upon release when I had the 14 Pro. I returned it. I just got a Flow Pro, I just need to find the MagSafe adapter to get the build the way I want it.
More persons have switched to or have purchased the Galaxy S24U so to focus so much on Apple is a negative. Also, as an owner of the original Flow, there's no mention made of any improvements in the angle of the tilt. The current Flow has that limitation.

Thank you, this is the only video I needed. I am sold ...Getting the flow
A very good comaparision of Insta vs DJI but how strong or weak of MagSafe connection on Insta gimbal?

That magnet isn't as strong I would be worried about my phone falling off
Hello, can you tell me the brand of your iphone case? Thx a lot
Does the insta360 works with androids?? Does it connect good?
Can it be mounted on a tripod?
Hello, what microphone do you use for outdoor use (no wind sound)? Can you use a dji microphone with the insta360 flow pro?
Can you use lens filters with the Iphone ? Will the flow pro handle it ?
Yeah, no problem. I was using an iPhone 15 pro max with a case on it and it worked perfect.
