I got the Go 3S during a Black Friday sale, and I LOVE this camera. It does everything I need it to do, and more. And it’s easy to use. Can’t wait to take it on my trip to Japan in April!
There are strengths and weaknesses in all of them, and use case will very much change the makeup of the top contenders. I have an OP3 and it is over the top good in most cases, but the complete lack of weather resistance and its tendency to give up in vibration and fast movement scenarios disqualifies it as an action camera. I have X4 and X2 and RS 1-inch 360 and 360 is an acquired taste and a lot of flexibility goes away if you can't use a stick (like Disney or in close quarters or crowds). Ace Pro (either model) is nearly perfect for action work and it has very good low light performance. However, the Go series has been my favorite for its discreet size and good performance in decent lighting.
I started My Action Camera Journey with the GoPro 3 all the way thru too the 12 After Skipping the 10 & 11. From there didn't care for them anymore to the Insta360 ONE RS because of it's Modular design and couldn't get the Dji Action 2 at that time too get, then the X3 and the GO 3 and was happy with it but then switch too the Action Pro and LOVE IT and then went to the Dji and had the Action4 now I have the 5 because I love the (2) mic ability that the 4 doesn't do but I also have the Pocket 3
I’ll start off saying this I currently film with the GP 13/11 and the insta 360 AP1. I’ve own the DJI’s and sold them off. You overlook so much that GoPros offer for example the 8:7 aspect ratio and the 1:1 aspect ratio with the wide angle lens. No other action offers this! If you’re a content creator for all platforms it’s unmatched. The AP1 is amazing and blows GP out of the water in low light conditions only. I’m always filming on the water which in my opinion is the most difficult place to capture consistent footage and GP never lets me down until it’s dark 😆 and that’s why I own the AP1

Like how you picked the Ace Pro 2 which is a 8 bite camera over the 10 bite GP! Or how the GP’s 5.3k is actually usable unlike the ace pro’s 8k. 8k files are way too large for most computers to handle. everyday users don’t know this until they film something and try to play it back on their $300 windows PC. I could keep going but I hope in your next video you choose facts or personal opinions. Of course opinions and experiences tied in with the actual truth are needed. When the death of GoPro happens there will be all you UA-camrs that were miss leading making videos about how much you miss GoPro. DO BETTER!
@ sure and that’s fine everyone has their personal opinions and what they like and don’t like. But to say one is better than the other based off of personal opinions is entirely misleading. All Cameras and all camera makers have their ups and downs, advantages, and disadvantages. There is no perfect product. Based on your opinions in this video you really don’t know these cameras ins and outs therefore anyone that bases their purchase off of this video will be miss guided!

Been looking at the go 3s as I’m a keen cyclist.is was between that and the action 4 but I think it will be better for short clips from different angles in different places on the bike.great videos 👍👍 Going to get the 3s 🙂
Go 3 S doesn't make my list of mentionables. I wasn't happy with the X4, I returned it. I currently run a Sony X3000 w/ Dji Mic Mini and a Pocket 3 w/Mic 2.
I'm on the Fjallraven Polar 2025 team and have been researching for my first action camera to take with me on that Arctic expedition... I've been looking at GP12 or Dji Action 4, but hadn't looked at Insta360 options. I need cold waleather reliability, portability, ease of use, and some easy mounting and capture options. Just looking to documents the adventure... any thoughts or suggestions?
@@itstoelean for the dog sled 🛷 i would imagine the x4 would be perfect, mount and record, edit later. I had great fun using mine of the snow machine. The DJI would be great paired with the mic if you needed audio. This is what I love about UA-cam, always learning about different things and what people use these cameras for! you can still use the DJI Mics with the Ace Pro via bluetooth but it is not the greatest. The DJI Action 5 can be connected to the DJI Mic as well but it acts as the receiver
100% sponsored video so this comment doesn’t really matter. However, If you’re going to put the Insta360 X4 in the action camera category then you have to also include the Pocket 3, which would take the number 1 spot. The X4 isn’t an action camera due to the exposed len’s. It’s a 360 camera, and in the single lens mode it is horrible quality compared to any of the other action cameras. For those two reasons it can’t be considered an “action camera”. I also feel like this was a sponsored video seeing as how you put the Go 3 in the number 2 spot OVER all other action cameras that beat it in every other spec.
@@AmericanEnglishBrent2 it’s misleading so called tech reviewers like this guy is the reason we may not get a GoPro 15. These Chinese companies pay these YTers to discredit GoPros. The DJI and Insta360 are great cameras in their own rights but I’ve used them all, of course they all have their strengths and weaknesses.
Insta360 X4 is not an action camera and if you use a lens protection, you'll have a lot of flare problems with it. Beside this, if it breaks or falls, you'll have to buy a new one as the screen, sensor and lens will mostly not be replaceable. So these are all factors, that makes it pretty unusable for real action adventures such as biking or enduro / mx- riding.

I love the flip screen design on AP2. I actually upgraded my camera to Sony A7IV from A7RIII just for this feature.

Great video. The Ace Pro 2 works well with the DJI mics as well just need to bump the gain.
If you use a lav mic don’t need to bump the gain also you can bump gain in post

You can certainly pair the Ace Pro 2 with the DJI Mic 2 using Bluetooth. However, only 1 mic. Dji Action 5 Pro allows 2 mics.
