- How to set up STARLINK and how much does it cost to run. Today I will show you the DIY process for installing starlink satellite. We chose to use starlink because of it starlink rv abilities. If we ever go camping we can always the the dish down and take it with us. This was a great option for us especially because of my wife working from home.

I am afraid your roof may leak within a few years. Perhaps try neoprene or silicone metal roof penetration gaskets?

That random loud music in the middle of you explaining what you were intending to do in the first couple of minutes felt like it was accidental. Edit: Oh, christ. It fades in and out randomly throughout the video, drowning your speech out.
Ahh.. can't watch this. Please do a reupload, as I'm very interested in this, but the music randomly fading in and out on top of your speech completely ruins the video.

Star link will have to wait.. i thought it would be expensive sure, but i never thought THAT much lol.
i mean, for the quality it may not be that much, but for how much i can afford it surely is out of my price range.
its a pity i really wanted to go star link. guess we poor beggars can't afford yet what elon want to "give" us.

I read that its main aim was to bring the internet to places in the world that didn't already have it and where no market demand made it financially viable to install the infrastructure.

Should have drill the wire hole on the hump. But you have to learn by mistakes.
Not feeling real comfy with the mingy (& very black glop) waterproofing of the penetrations or the roof site.
I would have sited the bracket evenly across the ridge, so the wire came up under the ridge cap (instead of hole thru ridge, if able, or, thru ridge). That makes likelihood of rain soaking thru even bad waterproofing, much less. Where you put it, water has already started to run down roof in rains, stopping at each penetration obstruction, ready to leak thru at any chance.
Then, feet to each side of ridge…
Leaks happen when holes/fasteners go thru the valleys (flats) of that kind of metal roofing, (never screw fasteners through the valleys of metal roofing! They WILL leak, no matter how well you think they are caulked!). …so, I’d make a couple cross bars, mount those across two of the roof panel “hills” on each side, instead of screwing in the valleys….that makes water already shedding fast, before any compromised water sealant can leak.
Also, when screwing thru roofing, I prefer to squirt calk into the holes, then put screws in to tighten them down, with mor caulk under the metal feet, & between feet & metal below the screw head.
Even without silicone waterproof , a good 50-year exterior silicone caulk could seal that very well, for many decades.
So the big question besides why the stupid music is does it work???
