One of the best detailed videos I've ever watched, great job!
That's awesome to hear, thanks!
I appreciate the effort you put into creating this video. It's well-done and very informative.
Thanks!
Well done!!! very well crafted video with clear instructions and thorough approach. I am going to be installing my first Starlink this Monday and 90% help is provided by this video. The other 10% is just adding an Ethernet adapter. Thank you for clear and precise instructions.
So glad my video helped you out. Let me know how it went.
OK, everyone has said how great this video is. I'll just second their comments. Very helpful.
Oh good! I love knowing that it helped someone out. Thank you for the comment.
Wow, thanks for showing these various tools and methods to make the job easy and clean. I've done this stuff over the years in a much more makeshift way.. This knowledge would have saved me a lot of stress and trouble.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks, debating whether to upgrade from dsl to starlink and this was a big help. You did a nice job.
Starlink is AMAZING!!!!! It really helped me out for a long time. I now have fiber which is better, but I will preach the glories of Starlink to everyone that wants to hear it.
Excellent video. I mainly watched to see what wall plate you used on the drywall. I’m doing the same thing but mounting on roof fascia.
Glad my video helped you out,! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Excellent instructions. Thank you for being so thorough. It really helped.
Glad it was helpful!
Yes very helpful…you’ve got me very confident in doing it myself….thank you very kindly MR.
Let me know how it worked out!
Thankyou , helped a lot . After wondering how I was going to drill a hole for the router end of the cable thar is huge lol . Didn’t know I could unplug the dish end of the wire , since mine came plugged in already .
So glad my video helped you out. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
Very good guide and nice work! Thanks! :)
Thanks!
Awesome detailed work..
Thank you!
Thank you from Brazil 🇧🇷
Thank you! You are family!
U're welcome My friend. I bought it and my starlink is working Perfectly right now.
This Cable is a CAT6 cable and can be cut and spliced if needed. My new construction house has a CAT6 cable run into my pantry from the outside and to all the TV locations.
Sounds good to me
Informative video, I see you have a stone house! Have you had any issue with connectivity within your house. I have some internal stone walls and the signal from the router has a hard time going through them.
I have wonderful signal. This thing has been a lifesaver. I now have fiber, though, which is amazing.
Thanks and greetings from Puerto Natales , Patagonia.Chile
Greetings to you too, my friend.
Good job!
Thanks!
So helpful! Thanks so very much!
Glad it was helpful!
Very detailed video. Thank you.
Thanks. You're welcome.
wow! Great instructive video. Question?? any trouble with squirrels chewing on the star link base on the ground?
Not at all
Pro tip: when a need to cross under a concrete walk or driveway, use. 3/4” diameter electrical conduit the runs the width of the concrete walk or driveway. Glue a PCV male and female fitting at each end that will accommodate a hose fitting and sweeper nozzle. Turn o. Water to full pressure and use to water jet your way under the concrete. The soil will disperse as you push the p,aspic electrical pipe back and forth until you reach past the other side. Cut off fitting on each end and run your desired wire through the conduit.
that's a GREAT tip!
Hi, Phil! Happy early spring with the cold spell on the way and a Jesus weekend. We just have cable but it goes off early morning sometimes. The landline used to go out with it but not lately. Hope all is well there. Waiting for real spring after the yearly freeze gets done. Glad you're hooked up. God Bless!
Indeed, it is 37° here. The wind makes it 27°. the northerners probably laugh at this, but I like a good 72 degree day myself. I imagine I will stay indoors for the weekend. This kind of weather forces me to get the indoors honey-do list done. Might even be able to film a few things. Always good to hear from you, Lowie! Send your whole family my love!
@@PhilCrockett Likewise with the love end of it backatchee! We keep the thermostat set on 71 but if we get chilly we up it to 72. Let the heat pump play catchup! Been rainy and raw but supposed to maybe move out tomorrow. We'll see. Nothing killed back yet but the cold is supposedly coming. Weather people went to the same school as politicians as far as I can see but they can't help it. It's all guvmint and all sideways! God Bless ALL Yall!
Very informative video!
Thanks for taking the time to comment, my friend!
Where do you live? I actually need starlink for myself and this looks nice. Dont even need to get on the roof to get it...
I live in the country.
Awesome job Phil. A fellow Missourian here. How is the connection and speed?
Where are you from in Missouri?
@@PhilCrockett around the columbia area
Nice job and great vid!
Thanks.!
Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.
Thank you! Cheers!
How can the starlink receiver be affixed in the ground to prevent it from being blown away in high winds?
Deep
Very nice job brother, as always, clean, safe and professional. I hope you tube and starlink take note and appreciate your value as a instructional installation content creator. Thanks for sharing... Peace
Thank you so much for the super nice comment, Grant!
I would setup and test the system before installing the cable. That's a lot of work to go through just to find you have a bad cable.
OK
do you think the router will go 50 yards to my neighbors house?
i believe so. mow 3 acres and I have wifi the whole time. So I'm guessing so.
that's a lot of effort for something that could just be stolen from your front yard.
Fortunately, I don't live in a bad neighborhood. And I wouldn't.
PS: "Don't want to sound like a dick or nothing" but what do you use the top display for? One doesn't see this configuration of displays often. :)
It's super handy to have several things open when editing videos. Software, Narrative, Recorder, Internet Browser, video files...etc...
I like his set up. I use three monitors that are side by side. There’s a lot of head turning with this set up. With his configuration he only needs to lift his head slightly to view his screens. It’s a lot easier on your neck.
All that to leave the expensive satellite on the ground
Yes! Thanks for watching!
