    Well done!!! very well crafted video with clear instructions and thorough approach. I am going to be installing my first Starlink this Monday and 90% help is provided by this video. The other 10% is just adding an Ethernet adapter. Thank you for clear and precise instructions.

    Wow, thanks for showing these various tools and methods to make the job easy and clean. I've done this stuff over the years in a much more makeshift way.. This knowledge would have saved me a lot of stress and trouble.

      Starlink is AMAZING!!!!! It really helped me out for a long time. I now have fiber which is better, but I will preach the glories of Starlink to everyone that wants to hear it.

    Excellent video. I mainly watched to see what wall plate you used on the drywall. I’m doing the same thing but mounting on roof fascia.

    This Cable is a CAT6 cable and can be cut and spliced if needed. My new construction house has a CAT6 cable run into my pantry from the outside and to all the TV locations.

    Informative video, I see you have a stone house! Have you had any issue with connectivity within your house. I have some internal stone walls and the signal from the router has a hard time going through them.

    Pro tip: when a need to cross under a concrete walk or driveway, use. 3/4” diameter electrical conduit the runs the width of the concrete walk or driveway. Glue a PCV male and female fitting at each end that will accommodate a hose fitting and sweeper nozzle. Turn o. Water to full pressure and use to water jet your way under the concrete. The soil will disperse as you push the p,aspic electrical pipe back and forth until you reach past the other side. Cut off fitting on each end and run your desired wire through the conduit.

    Hi, Phil! Happy early spring with the cold spell on the way and a Jesus weekend. We just have cable but it goes off early morning sometimes. The landline used to go out with it but not lately. Hope all is well there. Waiting for real spring after the yearly freeze gets done. Glad you're hooked up. God Bless!

    • @PhilCrockett
      @PhilCrockett  Рік тому

      Indeed, it is 37° here. The wind makes it 27°. the northerners probably laugh at this, but I like a good 72 degree day myself. I imagine I will stay indoors for the weekend. This kind of weather forces me to get the indoors honey-do list done. Might even be able to film a few things. Always good to hear from you, Lowie! Send your whole family my love!

      @@PhilCrockett Likewise with the love end of it backatchee! We keep the thermostat set on 71 but if we get chilly we up it to 72. Let the heat pump play catchup! Been rainy and raw but supposed to maybe move out tomorrow. We'll see. Nothing killed back yet but the cold is supposedly coming. Weather people went to the same school as politicians as far as I can see but they can't help it. It's all guvmint and all sideways! God Bless ALL Yall!

    How can the starlink receiver be affixed in the ground to prevent it from being blown away in high winds?

    I would setup and test the system before installing the cable. That's a lot of work to go through just to find you have a bad cable.

    that's a lot of effort for something that could just be stolen from your front yard.

      I like his set up. I use three monitors that are side by side. There’s a lot of head turning with this set up. With his configuration he only needs to lift his head slightly to view his screens. It’s a lot easier on your neck.
