Polarized for fishing great, flying not so much. You want to see the flash of glare from the windshield of the plane flying directly at you at over 200mph. Might be the only warning you get
That shirt is hysterical, it's awesome being able to fly your plane in vr on msfs. Great content and beautiful scenery!
Once you decide to use mogas be aware that you cannot go back to burning 100LL in your engine. You need to stick with one or the other. The paraffin base makes avgas 100LL much more stable (so it can be stored a long time) and it has a much lower Reid Vapor Pressure (a much higher boiling point, to avoid boiling, or vapor lock, at altitude.) So be aware that mogas will vapor lock far more easily when its hot and at altitude and that can stop the engine (clear it using the aux fuel pump) and restart the engine. Do not let mogas sit in your hangar under storage or in your planes tanks for longer than a month. Use it or lose it. On some longer trips you may not have access to mogas so you should bring Decalin RunUp, a lead scavenger in a glass jar in your plane to remove the lead from any 100LL you need to use. Do not take it in the plastic bottle it comes in as changes in air pressure at altutude will deform the bottle.
Ive noticed so many in the aircraft world dont really understand why rotax is more efficient than legacy engines and why a gearbox allows so much more power out of a smaller package .. Horsepower is torque times speed .. If you double the engine speed and maintain torque you double the horsepower and therein lay the secret .. Rotax engines run at twice the speed of Lycomings .. Legacy engines are limited to 2800 RPM because they are direct drive to the prop and thats the speed propellers need to be at .. When people say they dont like gearboxes how do they explain the Pratt and Whitney PT6 , most reliable engine in history and it has a gearbox ... Plus many dont know the radial engines of WW2 fighters have gearboxes .. Same with merlins on the P 51 mustang .....and all helicopters are full of gearboxes .. The gearbox is the first trick up Rotaxes sleeve for efficiency .. The next is liquid cooling and the last would be electronic port fuel injection ... This makes the rotax a full third more efficient than direct drive air cooled engines
I bought your plane for Microsoft flight sim, it friggin rocks!! So much fun to try and land it in the smallest of areas.
Maybe this isn't a factor with full sized aircraft, but as an RC pilot I discovered some years ago that polarized sunglasses make it harder to spot aircraft in the sky at distance because they remove reflections on horizontal surfaces (which is why they're great for fishing or driving).
Okay but this is a great video for those of us who want to bring as much realism to our FreedomFox's on MSFS 😀
Snow definitely has a sound. Best I would describe is a hiss.
Hey Trent, how would you feel about doing a flyover of Tesla's Gigafactory one of these days? It's about 30 miles east of Stead. Make it a YT short and hook a bunch of Tesla fans, I think there'd be a big %age of them that would enjoy your channel. 👍
Nice watching you fly love the back country flying. God bless you.
Trent Palmer- I just learned, curious if you knew, the tb2 drone, that Ukraine is using, runs off of a Rotax 915.
Sweet video and flight, Trent!

This channel has pushed me to get my license. As always...amazing content.
Trent and JP- the dynamic duo!
Trent you make flying look so much fun, watching your videos have made me want to follow in my grand fathers footsteps and fly planes. You've ignited something special in me, thank you.
Sling designed in my country. Proud to be a South African for this one. Regards.
Nice video! Good to see JP. He has a big adventure Slinging around the planet coming up!
Two of my most famous GA pilots flying together - awesome
I have this on MSFS from Parallel 42. I'll be taking notes.
