That was so cool flying over a strip and the owner waves you in, what a great guy
At the radio controlled airfield we call these the "F.O.G's" .... F@*ken Old Guys. These are the old dudes who hang out and do not, or no longer fly. They just sit there and complain about EVERYTHING. Luckily, now that I fly full scale, I have not met any FOG at the airports that I have been to yet.

The mural on the wall at 4:34 is Richard Halsey Best flying a Douglas Dauntless SBD Dive Bomber scoring a bomb drop against the IJN Akagi during the battle of Midway, June 4th 1942. Akagi would be scuttled by IJN forces as a result of the damage and fires, changing the course of the war in the Pacific.
That answers my question. I thought that was a Corsair.
Reply of the year winner.
I thought it was a Dauntless too. I kind of doubted myself at first though because when I looked at pictures, I noticed there's a mast just forward of the canopy on the left side of the fuselage where a cable runs to the vertical stabilizer. It's not on the Dauntless depicted in the mural. was there a different version of the Dauntless that didn't have this mast? Or do you think it's a discrepancy?
I love that the owner just waved you in! Something is really nice about that old fashioned “landing clearance”. Great video!
Country folks all over the world are extraordinarily hospitable. They are salts of the earth.
I think one-wheels are specifically made for bush-pilots. I'm surprised they haven't sponsored your videos yet, lol.
They don’t have to sponsor these videos, they’re getting the advertising for free. ; )
@@quinncide true lol
You know what though, folks don't tend to tell stories about when everything went right, so I think it's pretty cool that you ran into some problems and worked through them
Love the channel, wish you showed off the food you eat at restaurants and lodges for us food fanatics😅
That hanger with the helicopter was so cool
Meh I’m more of a plane guy but the hangar was kickass
I wanted to say, Captain Obvious. Ended up saying, Damn!
Inside and outside, prettiest hanger I've ever seen.
I work a job i hate, with people i dont like. Seeing these videos are a little slice of heaven each night. Thanks for for your work👍👍👍😊😊😊😊😊
Trent, your production quality is superb. Such a pleasure to watch you and your friends having a great time.
What an awesome episode, Trent! Love your vids of flying in the Backcountry. Thanks for the effort you put into these videos!
I really like seeing the Home with a Hanger and Airstrip that place looks amazing. LOVE the Mural on the wall. goes to show there is an Aeronautic community.
Singletrack on a one wheel!
Flying- “a quick way to get there if you have a lot of time”
Always heard “if you have time to spare, go by air.”
Captain Juan, do you think Jonas is dangerous?
I love when Trent puts Howling at the Moon in the soundtrack! One of the best flying soundtracks you can have!
Randomly came across your channel while looking up steps to become a pilot and I can honestly say I am very mad I didn't know about you earlier.
Fly for hire and fly for fun?! That's the dream, man.
What’s not to love about all this gorgeous scenery!? Epic video as always!
Wild fires are a huge problem here in brasil too. The smoke has reached the entire country, it's causing dark rain and allot of healt issues.
Love your videos Trent they have inspired me to pursue aviation
Gosh I'd love to live that life!
Flying with someone who's passion for flying matches yours would be like winning the lottery!
No kidding. I agree 100%
ya must be so awesome to fly😀
@@ptsbc941 that's a troy comment
@@dustinalexander4620 😂🤣😂
Well said Rose, can you talk to my wife. Lol
Stanley Baking Co....rocks! Been there many times :)
Fly in, bathe in a hot spring, fly out. Sounds like good times.
"Looks like a movie set." Trent could always branch into location scout work from his drone pilot job.
Some of those folks over in Portland do not have any idea the people they have affected by lighting those fires...Probably the same people doing it in California too...Peace with you guys...And clear skies...!!!
It was cool watching especially after seeing Jonas' episode.
same!
+ another one :)
When you guys multi-vlog like you and Jonas did in this set, it makes me want to go back and watch his in time with yours and see how they sync up. 😄
Trent, we stayed at that ranch house for a wedding where you guys swam in the hot springs! Super cool spot! Once in a lifetime area outside of Boise
I was just binge watching your videos and I got alert for a new one. Perfect timing!!
You're not alone bud. Me too. 😍
Hey Trent,You are doing a great disservice to your self by not flying more from the right seat.
Just curious....please explain why?
This is awesome. You inspired me to get back in the sky!
It’s always cool watching people go to the places you frequent
Love it when Idaho is so prominantly featured on UA-cam. Love Stanley. Love the place where that hot spring is. Love Yellow Pine
Shhhh Don’t tell anyone! Tell them we are full and everything is shut down!
@@marcusmontoya8352 Yup. That's why I conveniently left that info out.... I was just there 4 weeks ago.
Nathan Greer yep, I was just up by yellow pine in august... pre fires
Thank you Squarespace for sponsoring this cool video. Thank you Trent for making this cool video.
Love those hot springs. I may buy a place there. There's another hot springs pool about 1/4 mile away away from the river.
Those wings are the best
Had me at honey Sriracha. What a mix!
Its great to see the 2 sides to this trip, thanks for taking us along.
Love the Onewheel heater 😉
As someone who lives in Nampa, it is really exciting to know I might someday see you flying over the area!
That looked like an awesome trip glad to see the three of ya hanging out.
Always love your videos, Trent. I'm currently in school to get my A&P so I've been trying to immerse myself in everything in aviation! Part of that is your videos and another big part is RC planes and might I add, I love being able to fly my RC Kitfox at my own little airfield. Keep up the great work and stay safe!
Your videos are top notch! Excellent videography.
Mikes place is so sick👌🏼
Thank you Trent for these videos! They are one of a kind
STUNNING 👍🤙
What a find with that grass strip! My dream location as well - a hangar, runway and a HELICOPTER! Every dream I've had lately, LOL!
The scale of that smoke really hit home for me this time. We Easterners just don't get it when you guys talk about the smoke from the wildfires. I get it now, though! WOW!!! That was thick! Great stuff as always, Trent - love the sights out there. EVERYTHING is epic!! 👍🍻
That was a fun one! Really enjoyed seeing the way you guys all captured different parts of the story!
picking up my Kitfox this thanksgiving. So much cannot wait!!!!
Awesome trip, thanks for filming and posting. Stay safe.
I really enjoy watching both your channel & Jonas’, especially when y’all take the same trip! The 2 different styles & perspectives is really cool! Thanks to you & Jonas for the videos & being an inspiration to us student pilots out here!
Living the life, envy you guys with such beauty all around to explore, thanks Trent for another great video.
Great video Trent. Thanks. It was magnanimous of you and Ty to help out Jonas. You all are good people.
Trent, maybe you knew it, or maybe you didn't, but your Freedom Fox is now in MSFS2020. It's a $9.99 payware Kitfox, and the other skin is your Freedom Fox paint! Very nice! If you ever get to fly the sim, I'd love to know how close the sim is to your Fox!
VERY COOL Tx TRENT!!! great scenery....in between the smoke
tailwinds
Dude, I so love your videos. I have a passion for aviation but am just an earthbound misfit. Thank you for sharing this and all your videos...
Awesome is as Awesome does !!!
Very nice adventure, thanks for sharing!
Fantastic hangar need to checkout the private airstrips more
That was way awesome Trent 👍🇺🇸🛩️ I'm glad you guys made it home safe
Wow you were up by our cabins in Atlanta idaho. Just 15 miles down the river there is our airstrip on the Boise river.
Thank you once again for taking me away. I have been to Stanley with my son on a Zen and the Art motorcycle trip. Memories.
Great video and not spoiled by advert saturation.
Dude! that was an Awesome Place. thanks for sharing guys!
Trent, from a fellow pilot, I am all for free-choice for ones' chosen path through life, but please try to intervene in Jonas's path of self-destruction, if you have not already. There are friends, family, fellow pilots and loved ones that are also affected by poor choices. In my 50+ years of flying, I have lost family and good friends to aviation accidents and can tell you the losses are permanent, life-altering events.
I greatly enjoy your videos because of your mature, well thought-out approach to a safe evolution. It would be a terrible thing to lose both Jonas and/or Silvija to poor choices.
What an awesome ep! Cheers mate
Great video as usual Trent. It was like déjà vu all over again. 😉
Thank you!
This is too cool. I follow both Jonas Marcinko and Trent so for the last couple weeks I've been watching the same adventure from two different ways of looking at it. Love this stuff.
My 9 year old turned me onto your vids. Thanks for producing such great content that I’m happy to have Ryder watching. We’ve been able to start some flying lessons here in Aiken, South Carolina for him. He is over the moon about you and your awesome plane!
Great trip, thanks!
Great video, Trent. It's great how you drop into strips and check out the local scene. Cheers
My friend Pat Lee flew there several times with s group of RV’s. He did a presentation on it including a climb up the hillside to a spring fed hot tub.
Loving the content Trent, awesome dude .. Thanks
Great video Trent, enjoyed it!
Have seen the hot springs in another video. Very neat. Glad you got around the smoke.
What a beautiful life you living my guy.
Great video! Checking off the places to see. Even Greenleaf looked good there!
Hey its cool that you've been around Idaho a lot! Im hopping to see the freedom fox fly over some time!
That is what back country flying is about
Really liked the time-lapse through the smokey mountains, cheers
Thanks Trent, for another fun video.
Good stuff. Always enjoy your videos
Hi Trent, I absolutely love the videos. I am currently going through flight school in Phoenix right now and im having a blast, I cant wait to one day be up there doing what you guys do. Awesome videos man.
WOW, a trip down memory lane... Grew up on those back country airports and damn do I miss it!
Your videos are very cool, always lookin' forward for more ;D
Great idea taking the jail-broke Amazon Fire Stick with you!
Peacock mines Nevada has a nice hot spring, always stop there on my bike trips.
So cool Trent! Man I really enjoy your videos!!! Right at the end I saw a Vans RV7!
I've been to Stanley before! My band played at the Rod and Gun Saloon (I think that's what its called). We came all the way up from Los Angeles. We played at the Idaho-down too. We drove of course. Looking forward to flying there one day soon.
As always great content !!
Nice one-wheel ad! 😁
Great video, those 1 wheelers are a trip!
You guys go on some outstanding Adventures.👌
This trip was a blast!! Thanks guys!
I do enjoy watching your videos when going through the back country of Idaho and Northwestern Montana. I used to go down there from Edmonton, Alberta for the Glacier Waterton Hamfest. I would drive down for this function and leave my Piper Tri-Pacer in Edmonton.
What's the music from 6:20 to 8:20? It's great! Great fun video; what a wonderful, charmed, freedom enjoying life
As Always, Great Video!
That's trip looked awesome! Wish I could have been there haha! And that hanger was Soo cool! Gray vid trent!!!
Love it when you three get together. Get three videos for one lol. Buy one get three free. Ty needs to Utube moressss. Love it all
Great job on that one. Some beautiful footage. Great editing.
Nice flight !! and vid!
Good trip. Video
Trent I am so jealous of this flight. Thanks for keeping me motivated to crank out ratings
